I swerved to the side as hastily as I could. "Zing!" That high-speed arrow flew past like a bolt of lightning, penetrating the startled Gerard's neck. It punctured his neck, leaving a gaping wound behind as it sailed for a few dozens of meters before landing.

Gerard's eyes widened as he clutched his throat. As fresh blood poured from his mouth, he gargled some incomprehensible words.

"Urgh...urg…" Gerard's eyes glowed with a yearning for life. They were filled with regret and confused thoughts, but as the blood began to gush out of Gerard's gaping wound, all life left his eyes, and he collapsed.

As we ducked under the sand, the others ignored Gerard's frigid corpse.

"Fuck!" Moritz yelled aggressively enough for the enemy to hear him.
