My hands were shaking as I affixed my signature on it. I closed the folder after and stared at it for some seconds.
I bit my lip and took a deep sigh. Oh come on, Felice. You're just gonna give this to him. For god's sake calm down! I clenched my fist and swallowed the lump in my throat.
I sighed and stood. I fixed the folder and went out of the office. I walked to the Arts and Letters building. The faculty was just on the ground floor so, I wasn't stuck with the bulk of people waiting for the elevator.
I took another sigh before I knocked and opened the faculty's door. I sighed and slowly enteered the room. I gulped when no one was there.
My forehead creased and finally entered the room. I didn't know where Sir Greg's table so I had to search for his name on the nameplates on the table.
"Miss Lemuel?" I almost jumped in shocked when I heard that voice.
My eyes widened and I immediately looked at my side. There I saw Sir Greg who looked like he just got off from the bathroom.
"S-Sir Greg!"
"Are you okay?" he asked. I immedately nodded my head. His forehead creased. He looked at me from head to toe. I gulped.
"Uhm sir, here is the file that you requested. I already signed it."
I gave him the folder. He nodded and got it from me. I scannes through it first before shifting his head to me again.
"This looks good already. I think we're ready for the acquaintance." He flashed a huge smile, showing his perfectly formed white teeth.
I just gave him a small smile in return. He looked at me amusingly and then chuckled after. I furrowed my brows.
"Is there something wrong, sir?" I managed to ask. He just gave me a smile again and shook his head.
"Nothing, Miss Lemuel. But thank you, for the hard work."
My heart skipped a beat and I almost flinched when he tapped my shoulder. I gulped again and slightly moved so his hand would go down.
He must have noticed my reaction, so he voluntarily removed it.
"Anyway, how are you and your readings? Did you applied what I taught you about reading historical papers?"
I wasn't prepared with his question so I almost panicked in organizing my answers in my head. I was silently scolding myself with that.
That was just a simple question! Gosh!
"Uhmm I-I'm getting used to it, sir. Thank you, by the way. "
I bit my lower lip and almost cursed myself when I stuttered a bit.
Oh gosh Felice!
He slightly laughed.
"That's good to know, then. I hope you got a hang of it."
I just nodded and gave him a timid smile.
We went silent after. I didn't know what to do so I just kept on roaming my eyes aroundthe office, while he checked the folder again. I swallowed and cleared my throat.
"Uhm sir, if you don't need anything else… uhm I-I'll just go ahead." I gulped again and avoided his gaze.
"Yes, it's fine. If you need something, you could just visit me here in the faculty, Miss Lemuel. Or you can email or message me on facebook if you need to ask something about the readings." I just nodded and quickly turned my back on him.
I sighed in relief when I finally got out of the office. I even leaned my back on the door and covered my face with both of my hands.
Felice Lemuel! Oh my gosh!
I closed my eyes and let out a sigh. I composed myself first before I finally decided to walk away. Thankfully, there were no students in the corridors already.
My plan was to went back to the student council office and then I would just chill in the nearest campus cafe. However, it was interrupted when I ran into Bran on my way out of the student council.
He raised his hand and waved at me. Looks like he just got from practice because he was wearing his sports attire. Our athletes here have trainings during mornings and evenings, depending on what sports they are in.
I rolled my eyes when Bran smirked and made his way towards me. I could just walked past him, but I know that jerk. He'll just annoy the hell put of me until I give him what he wants.
"What do you want?" I asked him when he stopped in front of me. He let out a chuckle. I rolled my eyes again and crossed my arms.
"So fiesty. Come on, have lunch with me? I came from a very tiring training, Fel." He made a face. I snorted.
"You're not cute, Mr." I rolled my eyes again. He shook his head and slightly laughed.
"Damn. You're really hard to please," he said. I raised my brows.
"Come on, Fel. Please, just one lunch."
I narrowed my eyes. "And you're not gonna annoy me anymore," I bargained.
He took a deep sigh and stared at me for a second.
I wiggled my brows. "What now?"
In the end, he just sighed and nodded. I grinned. Ha. I won.
"Okay, let's go," I said and walked past him.
I felt him following, but seconds later he was already beside me and his left arm was alread wrapped around my waist.
I rolled my eyes and removed his arm.
"Not so fast, mister." And I walked faster.
I even heard him laugh.
"Wait up!"
I didn't listen and just continue walking, but he's an athlete so he got up. He's now beside me again. Well, atleast he's not being touchy feely and all.
"My car's in the parking." I heard him say and walked to the parking area. I followed through.
He placed his gym bag and sports shoes at the back first. I just waited beside the passenger seat.
He was a bit slow so I leaned on his car first. I was looking around the parking to keep myself busy when my eyes found someone familiar on the corner of the parking.
I narrowed my eyes and stared at the guy and the girl beside a familiar car. They guy was opening the passenger's seat for the girl. When he turned around to the driver's seat, I finally got to see who he was.
I froze on the ground.
Fuck.
That's Sir Greg. He's with someone.
My eyes widened when I felt a slight pang in my chest.
I immediately held unto it. My heat skipped a beat.
What the hell.
I have no freaking idea why I felt that, but I just found myself staring at the car until it got out of the parking.
I swallowed the lump in my throat.
Damn, heart.
"Are you okay?" I heard Bran asked.I sighed and gave him a small smile."Yeah, don't mind me," I said and focused on my food again. We were in his favorite french restaurant. And ever since what I saw in the parking, I wasn't really in the mood.I just feel sorry for Bran. Sure, he's annoying, but he asked me out politely and the least thing that I could do is to actually enjoy and treat him well. But I just cannot force myself bring back my mood.Damn, Felice. What the hell is happening with you? So what if he's with someone? So what?"Hey, you really okay?" Bran asked again. I sighed and looked at him apologetically."I'm sorry, but can I go already? I'm really not feeling well." I bit my lip as I said that.I saw his face saddened, but he still managed to give me a small smile."Tss. Of course. But then, you'll have to eat with me again." I almost rolled my eyes, but in the e
The next day, my blockmates were busy discussing our assigned readings for the day. We will have our recit for History again, so everyone was anxious.I sighed and kept my head down. I focused on my readings. I read these last night, so I was just reviewing it already. I also had my notes already for the important details.I closed my eyes and recited the keypoints in my head.I was at that state when I heard the door opened. I immediately opened my eyes and I saw Sir Greg in front of the class already. I sighed and closed my notebook."Good morning, class. Beadle, your index cards please." Our beadle went to him and handed our index cards.I sat properly when he started shuffling the cards. I read this, but I'm not that confident yet.I pressed my lips togethe"First one would be... Lemuel, Felice." I gulped when I heard my name.Fuck. Really, first?DamI took a deep sigh and compos
I didn't know what to say nor how to react! How the hell did my parents know about Sir Greg? What's their business?!"Let's eat?" Mommy urged. I smiled awkwardly.
“Mom, I’m going already! I’ll be late if I’ll wait for you!”I was half shouting already as I ran down our grand staircase. Mommy was in the kitchen, making sandwiches. Well, I’d like to have some because her sandwiches are the best, but then I am super late with my first class already.“You sure you don’t want the sandwich?” I can hear her giggling while saying those. I pouted.“Nope!” And I ran outside the house already. Our driver was already opening the door for me, so I just hopped in immediately. I heaved a sigh and rested my back on the backrest. I closed my eyes and placed my bag beside me then I plugged my air pods and played it on full volume.
“Miss Lemuel! Come, have a seat with us.” I smiled timidly when Sir Gregory welcomed me to their headquarters that evening. It was already around 6 pm, and it was already dark outside. Students were also starting to head out of the campus, yet here I am, still having an org meeting with the Campus Journals. I was already invited last year, but I declined it due to a conflict of schedule with the Student Council. I didn’t even tell mom about that offer because I know she will push me to take it, just like how she made me do this. Gosh,I heaved a sigh and nodded my head before walking towards the empty seat in front. The chairs' setting was in horseshoe position, so it was like a conference table except that it’s not totally oblong, but a ‘u’ shaped table. Sir Gregory was standing right in front of us.
It’s Sunday, and I’ve been bombarding my head with all the facts that I will need for my article. The team’s deadline will be by the end of the week since it will still go through a lot of readings for this article to be perfect. It is my name that they will put in the issue, and of course, I don’t want to mess this up.I sighed and stared at my iPad blankly. The readings are beside the iPad. I was already half the file that I was required to get through, and my head is still not functioning. Gosh. I’ve been staring at the blank document for the draft, but my hands couldn’t just type a thing. Now, this is what I was avoiding. I really don’t like the topic. Sure at some point, it’s interesting, but then it’s really not just my thing. However, I cannot just pull it out because I already made a commitment. Oh, Felice. What is happening with your life? Gosh. I took another deep breath and straightened on my seat. I grab
I bit my lip as I patiently wait for Sir Gregory’s email. I was still on my bed that Monday morning when I received his email that he’s currently reviewing my drafts. It’s a holiday today, so I won’t go to school. I even thought I would be spending the whole day sleeping, but then it turns out that I will be waiting or editing for that draft.Oh god, I don’t even know why I am so nervous! This is making me crazy! I hate waiting!I let out a deep sigh as I leaned my back on the headboard. I got a pillow and placed it on my lap. Then I placed my laptop on top of it. There wasn’t any other tab open except for my email. I kept on refreshing it ever five minutes just to check if Sir Greg has replied to me already, but I just kept on disappointing myself because there aren’t replies yet. Now, my anxiousness is getting stronger! Oh, gosh.I heaved a sigh and t
I once heaved a sigh when I finally got out of our car. “Bye, mom!” I waved at Mommy. She just gave me a smile and a nod. I sighed and went inside the campus already. I tapped my ID and then walked through the campus corridors. I checked my wristwatch for the time. It was already 9 AM and my first class today will start at 10 AM, but I needed to be at the student council room at 9:30 because I will ha a meeting with Sir Greg. That was what he emailed me yesterday. At first, I thought it was about my drafts and I was so freaking nervous, but then he said that he just needed to meet me because he wants to ask some questions about the student council. I took a deep breath as I turn to the student council building. I am not sure if he’s there already. Gosh, I feel like my chest is going to burst as I approached the student council room. I really hate this uncomfortable feeling! It makes
