Diana
AS USUAL HER wish was not granted as she saw King Lennon seated at the front of the table. Immediately she was led into the council room, and her mood was instantly dampened.
She sat down on the empty seat beside a friendly-looking woman and stared at everyone.
"You are beginning to smell more like a human as the days go by, have you not found your Wolf yet, dear niece?" King Lennon asked first, breaking the silence in the room.
Not having it in her to banter with him today, Diana ignored him and looked to the Werewolf council with all intentions of getting this over and done with.
There were twelve council members in total, three women and nine men.
"Ignoring the King? I could have you punished for disrespect," he smirked.
Still, Diana ignored him, edging him on further.
<"What do you plan on doing about your Wolf?" Another councilman asked her, choosing to ignore what had happened. Diana appreciated that he changed the topic.Pulling Diana out of the floor,Councilwoman Dunn helped Diana and placed her on a chair while the others council members watched in shock. If they were shocked that their king was able to strangle someone, then they had been living under a rock."That is why I need to find my mate," she simply responded."Then we will help you find your mate," a red-haired female councilwoman said, and Diana opened her mouth to thank her but the woman continued."If you promise that when you get your Wolf back, you will take the throne away from King Lennon."Rudolph locked eyes with Diana. He knew how much she hated being pressured. On seeing Diana's expre
DianaA WORRIED RUDOLPH equalled a forthcoming panic attack, and Diana would much rather avoid that. She could take anything without a word, just so Rudolph wouldn't worry."A little bruise won't kill me," she smiled softly, even when it stung badly."But King Lennon could,” Rudolph mumbled, then groaned as he realised it was actually the truth. "If I had come in a few seconds later, he might have killed you.""He would not have. I would not have let him. Also, I know you would have turned him into an ant," she said seriously, sounding proud of him for some reason."You do not know that," he said, standing up from the bed where he lay with Lacey."And the council members just stood there, watching the scene without doing anything. What was that about?"Diana sighed. "He is still their King, Dolphy, they
Diana"CAN SOMEONE TELL me why almost every cloth I saw at the boutiques had fur on them?"Are they doing an animal theme for this year? Is that what it is?" Rudolph asked as he put all the bags down.Diana chuckled as her prediction came to pass. "Werewolves love their fur. They love displaying the animals they kill. It strokes their egos."Rudolph gave her a disgusted look. "So, you mean, if I put on one of those clothes, I would be wearing the fur of a dead animal on me.""Exactly, but we do not see it that way. Hunting is in our blood and our wolves love showcasing their kills," she grinned at the thought."It's just animals, Rudolph," Lacey laughed."You guys are disgusting," he said seriously, then smiled as he took in their faces."But you two are my beautiful disgustin
Aiden"DO NOT BE ANGRY at me, Your Highness, but I think you should go to her," Richard suggested in a fearful tone.Aiden didn't look at him. "You think that will solve the problem? She left of her own free will. Choosing to go to that mate of hers, even after I made my intentions known to her."She left, to a man who left her while she was in a coma and had not returned to check up on her. That… is who she left me for.""Werewolves believe in soulmates and would spend their lifetime waiting for that one person."Still, I have heard of some wolves leaving their mates for other people. You might have a chance after all," Richard said."You know what is the worst part," Aiden started, finally looking at him."I was willing to defend her against my people if she chose to stay with me. I was going to figh
Diana"CAN I HAVE the first dance, dear niece?" Her uncle asked from behind her, loud enough for everyone to hear. She was about to decline when she caught his eyes challenging her to try and decline. With gritted teeth, she responded, "Of course."Bowing slightly, he extended his hand which she took hesitantly. The floor was cleared and he led her to the dance floor just as the music began again. She placed her hand on his shoulder, just as he placed his on her waist. They started dancing and other dancers soon joined them."How is your neck, Diana?" He asked with a smirk on his face."Just fine, thanks for asking."He gazed at her with a fake smile on his face. "You look so much like your father, it's revolting. Dillon always acted like he was better than me but now, where is he? Dead and buried."
Diana AFTER WATCHING THAT Rudolph made it into the restrooms, Diana turned to her mate. "Can we dance later?" Asher chuckled humourlessly. "Why do you avoid me so, mate?" "I just said I was tired, is that too hard to understand?" Diana asked tiredly. All she wanted to do was get off her feet, and take off those killer heels. "Do not take that tone with me, mate," he warned, causing her to narrow her eyes. "You know what, just come with me and let's talk." "I am not going anywhere but back to my hotel room to rest," she deadpanned. She could not understand where went the man she met before who spoke so softly to her was. The person in front of her, to put it in simplest terms, was an asshole. "You are coming with me, whether walking beside me or hanging over my shoulder, I do not care. No m
RichardRICHARD HAD GONE to the wildering woods to find the Oracle called Darlene. She was said to have migrated thereafter all the Oracles were exiled. He kept a steady pace while vamping, with four foot soldiers behind him. The wildering woods were located somewhere near the Fay kingdom. It was called the wildering woods because it was the area of the supernatural world, most underdeveloped. There were no buildings or constructions, just numerous trees and vegetation. But it was suddenly plagued with an unending drought. There was no rain or rivers, causing most trees to dry up, leaving behind wildering woods. This was one of the lands to be claimed by the Supreme King which was now Aiden.Richard stopped at the very end of the land, where it bordered the free lands inhabited by bandits. There,
DianaLACEY WOKE DIANA and Rudolph up the next morning, saying that there was someone at the door."It might be Councilwoman Dunn, she was supposed to bring breakfast," Diana said.During these past days, Diana had befriended the sweet Lady. She was the only one who knew they were leaving that morning, having overheard them talking about it the night before when she came to drop dinner.Councilwoman Dunn promised to help them escape from the kingdom without Asher's notice. They just had to wait for her signal."No, those footsteps sounded heavier than a female's, it can not be her," Lacey pointed out.Diana quietly walked to the peephole and took a quick look at the person outside. She saw just a black shirt but when she saw his sandy brown hair, she knew who it was."It's Asher," she whispered to her friends
Diana DEEP IN HER thoughts, Diana did not realise that Sia had finished, and was now standing in front of her. "By the gods!" Diana exclaimed in astonishment as she took in the sight of her now imprinted friend. Unrecognisable words were tattooed all over the visible parts of her body except her face. "Does it look that bad?" Sia asked shyly. Diana quickly shook her head. "Of course, not! You look fierce, powerful and just as beautiful as you have always been." Sia looked at Diana with a timid smile on her face. "Thank you, Diana." "Do you feel any different? Does it hurt?" Diana asked. "It only tingled for some time and then nothing," Sia responded with a shrug. "And the book? The spells?" Diana asked again. "The book is gone now, and the spells…" Sia pointed to her head. "It's all in here." "That's perfect. Now, let us go back to the field and wait for Gary and Corbin. Gary expects that I have the Crown and you have the book. "But things have changed and those l
Diana "FOR THOSE OF you who have not met her, let me introduce you to Princess Diana Moonshine, daughter of the late King Dillon Moonshine. "She used to be the leader of the strategic team before she left. Now that she is back, she will continue to be the leader. "Stephan here will assist you, Diana," Aiden said, pointing to a man standing near Richard. Stephan stretched out his hand for a handshake, to which Diana took, immediately feeling his cold hands, and shook it. He held her hand for much longer than she would have liked. But she did not have to do anything because Aiden cleared his throat while glaring at Stephan. Diana pulled her hand back and turned to face Aiden. "What is going on, Your Highness?" "Less than an hour ago, I got a call from King Marse. His kingdom was hit by the Evolution. "He did not get enough time to call other kingdoms for backup before they were defeated. The same thing happened with King Fredrick. "We have lost the support of two kingdoms
Diana "I KNOW YOU may not believe me, so I want to show you something," Aiden said, then began taking off his shirt. "What are you doing?!" Diana asked in a high pitched voice. When she caught sight of his torso, Diana became tongue-tied. On his body was a beautifully drawn image of her Wolf form. Every little detail was perfect. The colour on her, and the golden markings, it was all there. She blurted out the first thing on her mind. "Wow, you actually did it. You got a tattoo." "Yes, and you are the only picture I want to see inked to my skin. The only one I want to see whenever I look in the mirror," Aiden responded. "It's beautiful," Diana complimented in awe, not taking her eyes off the tattoo for a moment. It felt unreal and impossible. Diana half expected to wake up at any moment and realised that all of this was a dream. Diana pulled her hands away from Aiden's view, closed her eyes, and discretely pinched herself. Opening her eyes, she half expected to wake u
Diana LATER THAT DAY, Diana was left alone with her friends. Sia had gone to meet Janessa and Ryan, while Aiden went to sort out matters concerning his kingdom. Rudolph filled Diana in about his situation with Lacey. Diana tried to understand what could be wrong with Lacey but came up with nothing after each thought. "Do you recall anything you did wrong before she became distant?" Diana asked. "No. I know for sure that I did not do anything wrong," Rudolph responded. "Then what could be the issue?" Diana mused. "Trust me, I have been wondering about that since we returned from the Fay kingdom. "Since she saw me hugging Janessa, she totally cut me out. She does not even want to see me," Rudolph said with a frustrated sigh. "Okay, calm down, let me talk to her. Maybe I can get through to her," Diana suggested. Rudolph instantly perked up with a smile. "That would be a lot of help. Thank you, Ana." "But first I have to talk to Aiden. I will go to Lacey afterwards," Diana
Sia ON ARRIVING AT the border of the vampire kingdom, Diana was recognised by the guards, and they helped Sia carry her to the castle. Without saying a word to Sia, Robin took Diana from the guards and began walking to a room. Not wanting to be apart from Diana in that state, Sia followed Robin and Rudolph. After Diana had been placed on a bed, Sia and Diana's friends sat around her, staring down at her in concern. Soon, a tall man strode into the room. He moved straight to Diana's side and her friends scooted over for him to sit beside her. Sia instantly recognised the King of vampires. "Your Highness," she greeted with a bow. "Explain," he said bluntly, as he grabbed Diana's small hand in his large ones. His eyes were cold and stormy but they held warmness for the female laying on the bed Sia watched the scene in confusion, wondering what the hell was going on. She knew Diana was close to vampires but she did not realise Diana was this close to them. "Yes, Sia, pleas
Diana IT WAS NOT certain to Diana how she found herself standing face to face with Selene. She felt the glass in front of her and indeed, she was now inside the glass which was a lot bigger than she thought. She turned to Selene. "Things get weirder and weirder at each step, but it is no longer surprising." As expected, Selene smiled. "Only you would be relaxed about standing inside a mirror." Diana shrugged. "Try having two other different personalities inside you, fighting zombies for four years, and being tortured by a crazy lunatic. "I guess strange things is my new normal. It no longer seems foreign to me anymore." "About Luna, it is actually my fault. You were right, wolves are not supposed to have a separate consciousness. "I tried to keep my sickness from you but I could not stop my mind from creating another consciousness in your head. "I wanted to take her out, but it would not work. So, when I saw how harmless she was, I decided to let her stay. "This just a
Diana ONCE AGAIN, DIANA was confused about what to do. Taking Selene's essence seemed wrong in many ways. Most of all, it would be an added responsibility that she was not sure if she could bear. If she thought keeping a relic was hard, how would keeping a god-like power feel? "No. I-I-I can not do it, Selene. Keeping the Crown is enough work as it is. "For crying out loud, I spent almost four years hiding from other creatures who wanted the Crown. I can not add this one, too, please try to understand," Diana said. "If that is your major concern, then you have nothing to worry about. No one would be able to sense the god-like powers in you unless you decide to let them. "The Crown is just an added benefit, you can choose to give it to someone else but you have to return it to its original form since I will no longer be in it. "Then you can live in peace as everyone will know you do not have it anymore," Selene told her but Diana was not convinced. "What about immortalit
Diana SHE FELT HERSELF falling in space, free-living and weightless. She kept on floating with her eyes closed in the dark, letting the breeze take her to wherever. Suddenly, her body stopped moving and it was no longer dark, as light beams tried to get past her closed eyes. Diana opened her eyes and then her feet finally touched the ground. After her eyes had adjusted to the light, Diana took in her surroundings. "What the heck?!" Diana blurted out. She was surprised to see that she was now standing in the middle of mirrors. The room had mirrors on the walls, the roof and the floor. Diana was a bit creeped out by numerous reflections of her, all staring at her. "I had imagined the afterlife to be less creepy," Diana muttered to herself, trying to look away from her reflections, only to stare at another each time she turned her face. "That is because you are not in the afterlife, Diana," she heard a voice say. "Who said that?!" Diana asked, looking around but finding no
Diana "OUCH!" DIANA HEARD Sia groan in pain. Diana pulled herself up —thankfully without a scratch— and walked over to Sia who was holding her right arm and moaning in pain. "Here, let me take a look at it," Diana requested, and Sia took off the hand covering the wound. Taking one glance at the wound, Diana looked back up to Sia with a blank yet incredulous look on her face. "It's just a little scratch," Diana deadpanned. Sia pouted while looking up at Diana. "But it hurts!" Diana raised both her eyebrows. "Really? You have got to be joking." "Small wounds hurt more," Sia defended. Sighing, Diana rubbed her forehead in frustration. "You know what, I'll just grab the book so we can get this Crown activated." Diana got the book and climbed down to the centre of the square where Sia now stood, thankfully over her tiny cut. "Are you sure you are ready for this?" Sia asked as Diana handed the book over to her. "No, I am not," Diana instantly replied. Sia threw her ha
