Chapter 33: Meeting

“Joshua are you almost ready?” asked his mother.

“Yes, mother.”

“How I miss your voice Emily,” whispered Joshua.

“Who are you talking to?” asked his mother.

“No one,” said Joshua, putting on his tie.

“Are you talking to youself again?”

“No.”

“You sure?” asked Vicky, folding her arms together.

“What is it mother?”

“Nothing, I was just checking to see what’s taking you so long.”

“Nothing is wrong. I was just exhausted from last night’s work. I was also having trouble waking up this morning.”

“Oh, do you want me to call up a doctor.”

“No.”

“I’m sure if Emily is here, she would be best to help you with that.”

Joshua frowned and said, “Yes, she would. But she’s not here now. So, I will do the best I can without her.”

“You miss her don’t you?”

Joshua didn’t say anything as he fixed his tie to correlate with his shirt.

“I heard you calling out her name this morning again.”

Joshua paused and turned his head to his mother. “Did I?”
