"Let's get started, Mrs Smith," the officer said.

I nodded, squeezing Parker's hand subtly under the table.

He opened a folder that he'd brought into the room and pulled something out.

He turned it around and slid it to me across the table.

I bent closer to see what it was. I found myself staring into my own face.
