VICTORIA'S POV...

'You will always remain our daughter.'

I heard the desperation and helplessness in her tone.

The truth is a shock to me but if I closed that part of my life, then I couldn't find any point where I can blame them for not being good to me.

In every step of my life, my parents have always supported me. Even after I left home, they might be angry, but never pointed their fingers at me. And in my hardest time, they stood beside me like the strongest pillar and protected me.

Only because of that one freak, I could not hurt them after twenty-four years of life, right? Slith might bring me to my family, but that was my destiny.

The death of their real daughter and my appearance in their life. Yeah, they might not be the parents who gave birth to me, but they are the parents who brought me up and be the dream parents a child could wish for.

How could I let them get hurt just because of that one truth? An hour ago, I thought who am I? But, Now I know, I am Victoria Edwa

VICTORIA'S POV... Should I ask him? I thought for some time, staring at my husband. He is still looking at his computer but his mind was in somewhere else. The deep frown he has on his face is not so simple. Something serious might happen. Maybe, in the company? Or, in the family? Or, is it related to Dominic? Lots of thoughts came to my mind and finally, I decided to ask. Slowly, I caressed his arm. He still didn't notice and when I called for him, he finally noticed and turned to me. His eyes were blank at first and then worry crippled him. He watched me up and down, asking, "What happened, baby? Are you alright?" I nodded my head. "I am fine. It's just, I wanted to ask you something. Can I? Are you busy?" He shook his head first and then closed his laptop, keeping it on the bedside table. "Not busy at all. What is it?" I smiled at his serious expression. "Nothing serious, just some random matters only. How is Grandma doing? I couldn't even meet her after she was sick." He

VICTORIA'S POV... The next morning, firstly, I went to the hospital, where John's mother was admitted. And I am glad that he at least didn't lie about his mother. His mother was really sick and needed a huge sum of money for her treatment. It was really hard for John to arrange that huge amount in such a short time. When he saw me, he was stunned at first. He thought I was there to send him to prison. But then, I removed his fear with a smile as we sat in the hospital canteen. He seemed awkward seeing me and kept his head lower. "What are you doing here if you don't want me to send you to prison?" I smiled at him, shaking my head. "I am just here to see your mother." Hearing my words, he raised his head in disbelief. "T... to see my mother?" His tone came out as a whisper. I nodded. "Yes, to see your mother. Well, I know even though what you did was so wrong. But, I also understand the situation you were in. You were desperate to save your mother and were pressured by your boss

VICTORIA'S POV ... I froze on the spot, hearing his words. Is it that because Aless was so worried last night? I felt a headache at this point as I pinched my forehead with my fingers. I never thought Dominic would take such a step, like buying the shares of Reywalt! But why? Doesn't he build a company on his own? Okay, even if he wants his part of the share as the elder son of Devonte s, shouldn't he ask that normally? I am certain that Aless would happily half of it toward his brother! He wouldn't even raise a question! But... Soon I realised one thing and that send a chill to my bones. Is it because Dominic wants all of it? Oh! And the images from his past behaviour, specifically toward grandma flashed before my eyes. I was guessing it right. He wasn't even slightly worried about Grandma. The feelings I have about his strange behaviour started proving as the truth! Dominic has changed in these years. He changed way too much! Aless was so worried for these days and I didn't ev

ALESSANDRO'S POV... I entered home after a long hectic day, expecting to see my wife waiting in the living room for me. However, after getting inside, I didn't see her. Instead, Sophia greeted me with a smile. "Young master." I greeted her back and looked around. "Anything wrong young master?" She asked. I scratched my neck. "I don't see Victoria. Where is she?" Now, the exhibition is over. She should be here, right? Sophia's expression changed suddenly. "Isn't madam with you?" Her brows furrowed and wrinkles popped up at the corner of her eyes. "With me? What are you talking about?" I asked in a daze. Shouldn't she be at home this time? Sophia shook her head. "Since she left in the morning, she didn't return. I thought both of you will come together." Sophia explained and I felt strangely disturbed. Victoria didn't arrive? Immediately, I brought out my cell phone and swiped the phone unlock. And my eyes caught a text from Victoria. Oh! She texted! My phone was silent the wh

VICTORIA'S POV... "Did she wake up?" A man said. "Not, yet." Another man replied. "Wake her up. Boss is here." The first man said. And I was hearing them. But, maybe I am in a dream. Because everything is happening over my head yet seems so far away. But, why would I dream of something like this? My head is hurting like hell and before my eyes everything is dark. Maybe, I am blindfolded. But... I just don't know what is happening! I was going to find my brother in the Maldini Art School, wasn't I? Then how did I end up here like this? • Dear Ex-Wife, You Are MINE!    Was it you, Camilla?

VICTORIA'S POV... Alessandro! At first, it felt like a dream. It felt like, I am hallucinating him. Is he really here? Or it's just my mind who wants to imagine him only? But soon, my thoughts broke and I realised he is real when I heard Camilla's gasps too. She shouted toward her men to attack him and they did. Alessandro started fighting with them and meanwhile, all of it felt like a movie to me. A live movie, that I am watching being tied up. He pushed the two men away from him and tried to come to me when some other men also attacked him. I blinked, wait, where did they come from!? Camilla only brought two men along, how come there are more men? Were they outside of this dungeon? I could only think of those things and stared at Aless fighting with those men. For me. Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen. My heart skipped. No! Please, God! Save my baby! I kept praying in my mind. Then, I felt another shape pain that coursed through my whole body. • Dear Ex-Wife, You Are MINE!    It's the mother or the child...

ALESSANDRO'S POV... Suddenly, everything turned silent. Victoria is in my arms, unconscious. Camilla is on the ground a little away from us. The knife in her hand was still in the sale way. Her eyes open wide, looking at me as if they are accusing me of something and blood oozing out of her. At this point, I don't know if she is alive or dead. Honestly, I don't care! Selfish of me, I know. But, what happened to her was all because of her! But, who shot her like that? I couldn't have time to bring my gun with me. Then this? Suddenly, I heard footsteps to see Dominic running toward me. My eyes caught the black metal thing in his hand and I realised what happened. He stopped before Camilla, checked her and shook his head. She is no more. I don't feel anything at the news and turned to the woman in my arms. Her face was wrinkled, maybe she is in pain. My only attention was on my Victoria at this moment and I couldn't think of anything else even if I want to! "How is she?" Dominic as

ALESSANDRO'S POV... "Wake up, Aless..." I heard a wave of melody, that brought a pleased blow of wind in my ears. This tone... This seems so familiar... "Alessandro, baby?" I heard her again. That enchanting tone just rang in my head. Every time she is calling me, a rush of pleasure just splashes through me. As if I am hearing an enchanting melody. "Open your eyes, please?" She sounded so cute and demanding at the same time. I couldn't help but smile. Slowly, I opened my eyes, following her words. And soon my eyes met such an amazing scenario. Lots of white clouds before me with a soothing breeze. And in this heavenly place, an angel just caught my eye. In a white dress, her slightly wavy hair flowed in the direction of the wind. She looked like a princess just came out from heaven. My Victoria... I stood up and walked toward her. She only smiled at me. One dimple on her left cheek formed, making her so peacefully enchanting. "You came?" She asked and I nodded. "I came." She

LILY... "He has been stabbed over 15 times. The killer might hate him so much. His neighbour felt something was wrong and went to check. Sigh... The poor woman must be in trauma after the scene." Max said. "Umm... Anything else?" I asked, Sitting in the opposite of his desk. "I mean, who could be the killer? Any hint?" Max shook his head. "Not yet." He looked around before lowering his tone, "And you must not be too curious about this matter. He was involved in the politician murder case and now this happened. It's dangerous, Lily." Closing my notebook, I chuckled. "Are you seeing me after danger the first time?" He sighed, narrowing his eyes, "Better my name is not connected to this case. Inspector Brian was my senior and this is morally a crime for me to share any inside news with you. But..." He let out a helpless huff. "What could I do? You're a friend I couldn't deny." "You're an amazing friend both personally and professionally." I stood up. "I'll leave now." "Hmm, don't

LILY... I yawned, stretching my hands and fluttered my eyes open. The narrow ray of light was entering through the little window of my room. I smiled. It's a good and very free morning of my life. I couldn't help the grin broke on my lips... So refreshing to think that I kicked out a huge toxicity of my life! Sooo Good! Fluttering my eyes again, I looked at the small window. But, why does it feel so close this morning? I mean, sleeping on the couch, this window is a bit away from me, isn't it? Or, was I wrong? As if to answer my question, something firm wrapped around my waist, making me confused as well as alert... "Good Morning..." A deep husky tone muttered beside my ear. Fuck! I immediately jumped out of bed only to fall on my butt "AaGh!" I cried out and looked at the intruder only to gasp in agony, "Leo!" His bluish-green gaze was on me, frowning. "What stunt are you playing this morning?" He asked in a groggy voice, turning me dumbfounded. "I am playing!?" I barked at h

LEO... I woke up in the late afternoon. Couldn't sleep the entire night thinking about the ridiculous shit I did in the club. I fucking kissed her! Her soft lips felt like cotton candy, and her soft berry scent was delicious... Since the day I met her, I wanted to kiss her and finally, I did, but... Now I want more even though it happened at a crucial moment, I couldn't stop thinking the feeling of her! That woman was insanely climbing all over my thoughts! After that kissing incident, I kept myself shut to not do something more crazy. Though I don't know how long I could maintain this peace. Every time I think of her, my imagination runs wild and the effect is clear under my trousers! Sigh... Sitting on the bed, I looked around. Lily was nowhere to be seen. Wait... Where is she? It's Sunday today and she's still out for work? Such a pathetic life of a reporter! That woman really does not care about her safety, does she? What if she faces sort of the same troubles? I'm not beside

LILY... Not even three days passed and on the fourth day, I was standing right in front of the hell. I swore to not appear here after that insult but here I am, again I am here because Mom called me this morning. At the age of Fifteen, I left this mansion. It's been over nine years since she called me. I know I shouldn't after that night but I couldn't deny her because of the promise I made to Theo. If it wasn't for Grandma, I wouldn't bother to show up here ever. Taking a deep breath I stepped inside. Surprisingly, no one stopped me and I went to the hall. Alyssa, Ruby and Dad were Sitting there. The environment was gloomy. Something definitely happened here. "You called me?" I directly asked Ruby. For some reason, my usual fear wasn't working anymore. Probably because Grandma's safety was managed. She looked up at me. Her cold eyes were sending chills at my way. Beside her, Alyssa was leaning on her shoulder with her bloodshot eyes. "How dare you get in here!?" She roared at m

LILY... Lord! I messed up! What to do now!? It's not my first time doing such a thing, yet I am frozen here. And before I realised, I was pulled back hastily as Leo covered the crack. "W-we need to leave," I muttered before opening the storeroom door to leave but paused at the sight of those men. Shit! They smelled us here! Immediately closing the door, I backed up. Hope they don't enter here. "What the fuck!? Are you always this clumsy!?" Leo hissed. "Who gave you the access to become a crime reporter!?" I was already annoyed and his taunts were worsening it. However, my annoyance died inside when footsteps neared the store room. Shadows of suspicious footsteps were just outside the door. I backed away, hitting my back at Leo's chest. I could feel his rigid figure. The knob of the door twisted and my heartbeat stopped for a moment. Suddenly, Leo grabbed me by the waist, pushing me on something hard and his lips followed mine next, stiffing me on the place. In the next second th

LILY... Sigh... I stood helplessly in the phone booth, begging that annoyed specimen to bring my phone. Could my day be any worse than this? "Please, Leo. I need my phone now." I pleaded again. "You're asking a sick man, who is almost bedded because of you, to bring your phone to you because You're careless? Hmm, interesting..." His reply came from the other side. "What if I decline?" "No, please! I beg you! I need my phone, Leo. It's important, please!" I said, defeated. No more stingy with my pleas. "Ah, I don't want to... But, I guess, I will consider you this time only..." He paused and I was eager, "Only what?" I urged impatiently. "Only if you make breakfast for me every morning and don't nag me sleeping on your bed." "....." I could definitely feel a smirk on his face even on the phone. This fucking arshole! "Leo, don't you think it's too much?" I gritted my teeth. "Is it?" He asked as if there was no one innocent than him! "Alright then, help yourself." "No, wait!" I

LILY... Rushing out for evidence at any hour was a part of my job. I accepted it as a part of my life because once I dreamt of becoming a crime reporter, I knew every day would be a new challenge for me. When Grandma used to live with me, she used to nag always for my safety and I used to kiss her cheeks and rush out with a smile. Since she was admitted to the hospital, no one did her part for me. Tonight was the same or it could be, if Leo didn't show concern for me before I left the house. Though I was indifferent at that moment my heart convulsed with a warm feeling I had never tasted for more than a year. He was a stranger who somewhat forced into my life. A bit annoying but harmless. As a woman, staying with him under the same roof didn't give me insecurity. Though I would never admit this in front of him, I could not deny the fact either. I don't know who he is, where he came from or what happened to him. But Leo is a gentleman. A woman's instinct could never fail when it's

I mean, she is practically a stranger, but still, I am drawn to her. What happened this evening was proof. I have no memory, no particular known situation nor I am aware of my skills. I should have stayed away from those men and the most I could do was run away with her when she proposed. But, I didn't. My blood boiled when I saw the fear and helplessness in her eyes. It felt like I could rip the world apart who dared to hurt her. Those hazel eyes were pleading for salvation. In that moment something stirred in me and I wanted to keep her safe. I don't know if those guys were her enemy or some random teasers. Whoever they were, they shouldn't cross m
