MAEVE LILY...

I walked into the office in a lousy mood. First, my promotion was declined because of some stupid reason and then the handsome but annoying stranger holding a knife on my neck took his so-called responsibility.

I am just torn between everything!

My phone beeped with a text message. I opened it only to murmur a repeated course of curses. How did I forget my sperm donor? The sole reason for my suffering!

'How dare you ignore my calls?' Even in the message I could feel his snorts.

Another one beeped almost immediately,

'Lily! Pick up my call! I swear, I...' I ignored him, not bothering to read further, only to receive his call.

If you check my call list, every other call belongs to him. And as usual, I omitted it. I Don't want to ruin my mood earlier this morning.
