The atmosphere was good that evening as a lady sat comfortably with her legs crossed, watching her favourite. Her phone buzzed softly on the center table, diverting her attention away from the soap opera she was watching.
Lisa picked up the phone hastily to check whatever message might have come in. She had thought it was her husband, Alex, who had messaged —probably to inform her he'll be staying out late that night as well. If it is, she wouldn't be surprise as it has turn a routine that he would never cease from; sometimes, she wondered why he still send her those kind of messages! But then it turn out she was wrong. Again, she received the same message from anonymous sender as before. “...The earlier you divorce Alex and leave him for me, the better for you, woman! You have no place in his life, you know where you belong instead...” The message reads. “This isn't a joke or an empty threat —divorce Alex if you know what's best for you!” Lisa felt a chill run down her spine as she read the text message. This was the third time she had received a message like this, and it was starting to freak her out even though she know who keep sending her these messages. It was Rosy. As recalled, Rosy is her husband's ex girlfriend and first crush. The first time she received the message was a month ago and she didn't hesitate to show Alex the message but instead of reacting towards the message, he called the number with his cellphone —that was how he gets back to his ex girlfriend. "Why are you contacting my wife, eh?" Alex demanded, his voice was on the pretence of being low and threatening. "This is completely unacceptable, Rosy. You need to stop this, right now." Rosy, on the other end, gave a light laugh, the sound grating on Alex's nerves. "I don't think I will." She replied, her tone light and mocking. "I like playing with her mind, Alex. It's so much fun. You don't get it, do you? I'll never let her be happy with you, I'll do anything to tear you two apart." After Rosy's response, though Lisa couldn't hear what she had said, she could still swear she saw her husband's lips parted in a tempting smile. "Do you want us to meet during the weekend?" He asked, his voice flirtatious. "Perhaps to catch up with those times we were apart. Or what do you think? It was as though Lisa heard wrong at that moment, maybe it's her ears that loses their function. "Alex..." She blurted out, red with anger as her eyes widened at her husband's confession. "What in Pete's name are you doing?" "What does it look like I'm doing?" He replied nonchalantly in the iciest voice he could muster. "You shouldn't get in my way unless you really want us to divorce as Rosy as suggested." Lisa felt as if she had been slapped in the face. She couldn't believe what she was hearing, it was like a bad dream. The man she's married to was flirting with his ex girlfriend, right in front of her. And he didn't even seem to care that she was there, listening to every word. "Alex, I..." She stammered, her voice shaking as her knee went weak due to his reply. "I don't understand what's going on. Why are you doing this? Why are you being so cruel?" Alex's eyes flashed with anger. "I'm not being cruel, woman, I'm just being honest." He snapped in a hoarse voice that's void with no trace of emotion in it. "After all, I'm done trying to keep up with such a woman like you as my wife." —that was the beginning of Lisa losing her husband to Rosy! Lisa's phone buzzed yet again in her grip, snapping her out of her train of thoughts. She stared blankly at her phone's screen, it was another message from the same anonymous sender —Rosy, to be precise! “...Still doubting that Alex can never be yours? You need a prove that's attached to my claim? Then meet me at the hospital and see for yourself... ” The second message reads. Alex wasn't at home at the moment, even if he is, she can't show her the message anyways, already aware of how he's going to react towards the message —no, she doesn't want that to repeat itself. Lisa had wanted to ignore the message but somehow, her curiosity was peaked which led her to indirectly accepting the unpleasant invitation. After all, she needed to see things for herself as well, right? She quickly dressed up and was about leaving the house, hoping that whatever Rosy reveal to her wouldn't cause her lots of damage. She put on a body fitting black dress which she knew would arouse Alex's attention, plus, she was going to see his ex girlfriend, so she has to put on something alluring to keep her at bay. That was the plan at least. As she got to the hospital, her palms were sweating and her heart was racing. She wasn't sure what she was about to do but something deep inside her told her she must go through with it. She walked into the hospital, instead of looking around for Rosy, her instinct knew exactly where to go to at the moment —Alex's Office! She has heard enough rumor about the both of them but she choose not to believe the media. As Lisa walked through the hospital, she felt like she was being watched. She tried to ignore the feeling but it only grew stronger as she neared Alex's office. When she reached the door, she hesitated for a moment, wondering if she should go in. But something compelled her to open the door, she did and step inside —what Lisa met inside the office was enough to make her collapse on the same spot she's standing. "No...!" She blurted out in denial, shaking her head negatively in a vigorous manner —her eyes were obviously playing a dirty trick on her. "This isn't the Alex I get married to...!"Lisa stood in shock as she watched Rosy sit on Alex's laps with her head resting on his chest and Alex, on the other hand, seems to be enjoying stroking Rosy's hair as they both engaged in a compassionate conversation. They both did not notice her presence which fuel her anger the more!Lisa felt like she was going to be sick. She had thought she was prepared for whatever Rosy had to say, but seeing this was too much. She couldn't believe that Alex would betray her like this, that he would be so cruel. Even if he's always been a jerk who doesn't care about anything else except himself, isn't he supposed to respect the fact that he's married? No?As if what Lisa had saw few moment ago wasn't enough, Rosy kissed Alex's jaw lightly after a small and in return, he grabbed her face and kissed her on lips. They were so engrossed in their shameless activity, clearly not bothered by the thought of someone walking in on them. She wondered how much shameless they would go in a such a place like

Well, Alex happiness did not last long when his eyes caught glimpse of the neatly wrapped box that was lying few inches away from where he had picked the divorce papers from. It was strange to him, he has never seen anything like it on his dressing table since he's been using his room."Has it always been there but I failed to notice?" He asked himself as he picked up the box, unwrapping it hastily. As he opened the small box, he was shocked to see a limited edition watch in it —the type that cost a fortune."What...?" He blurted out with surprise written all over his face. "Did Lisa leave this here?...ah, no way! She would rather take this with her rather than leave such expensive gift here —she can't even afford it, can she?"Alex started to think of all the possible scenarios that could have led to the watch being there. Was it a mistake? Had Lisa left it there by accident? Or had someone else left it there, as a gift for him? But who would do that? He was trying to make sense of i

The elegantly dressed lady stepped out of the red car, wearing a sunshade to disguise her identity. The car's door was gently shut behind her by her newly assigned driver, who bowed slightly to her before returning to the driver's seat.Lisa stared around for a while, her eyes sparkled in recognition. For more than three years that she has leave her parents house, busily disguising herself as a private hospital's nurse, nothing has changed in the house -it was just as she has remembered it and the familiar scent of flowers in the air was still as it was.At the entrance, leading to the main building itself, stood a man who was busily grinning from ear to ear, his facial expression was that of mixed emotions; relief, recognition and excitement as he patiently waited for Lisa to walk to him. "Oh, oh...!" He exclaimed, his eyes sparkling brightly. "Look who is finally here if not for my long lost cousin. Am I right?"Lisa rolled her eyes at his choice of words. "I wasn't lost, I was bus
"They will wish they never covet what wasn't theirs to start with. I'll make sure they pay for laying hands on me and everything they've done." Lisa vowed, still overwhelmed with anger. "-and Alex too, he'll as well pay for making me shed my precious tears."Lisa's vow wasn't of an empty one and Andy, just by looking into her eyes, he felt lost. The emotion in it wasn't that of the ones he's familiar with, it was totally different and he realized for sure, Lisa wouldn't back down until she's satisfied. Andy couldn't help but admit he love the new look in her eyes! "Fighting those three men isn't an easy journey to embark on, Lisa, they were never easy to start with." Andy started slowly. "We need a very good strategy to overthrow those cunning men when they least expected -they are not just greedy but a con artist as well.""Cunning or foxy, that doesn't matter anymore since it's the reason I'm here." Lisa's voice was assuring with traces of confidence in it. "We have to find a way t
