MIRABELLA’S POV
I exhaled heavily, bracing myself for what’s to come. It’s been six years since I last saw my parents, and I’m certain they’ll be furious at me for ghosting them for so long. I didn’t even know how long I stood at the entrance until I felt two tiny arms wrapping around my legs. I lowered my gaze, and a bright smile crept up my face as I watched my five-year-old son embrace me in a comforting hug. He must have sensed my uneasiness and did that to reassure me that all was alright. Alfred may appear as a naïve five-year-old to others, but he’s way smarter than any five-year-old I’ve ever met. He’s not only independent, but he takes care of me more than I take care of myself. He was a gift from heaven sent to mend my broken heart after my divorce with Easton. I could never have asked for anything more. He’s my joy, my sole purpose in life, and my everything. “Are you scared granddad won’t be happy to see us, mommy?” Alfred asked, his hazel-green eyes glittering with pure innocence as he stared up at me. Seeing him was enough to melt away every tension in my body. I had gotten my courage once more, all thanks to my little angel, who is my exact replica besides the color of his eyes. “I was, but I’m fine now, thanks to you, sweetheart.” I said with a bright smile, and he finally let go of me. Just then, we heard footsteps from behind. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t know the call would last longer than a minute.” Roman said as he made his way to us. “That’s fine, we were just about to go in.” I responded with a bright smile on my face. Roman was another gift from heaven sent to help me reshape my life. He is my best friend and has been supportive of me for years. He took care of me while I was pregnant with Alfred and even after. Alfred adores Roman and often wishes for Roman to be his father. I would do anything to make my son happy, but I just couldn’t open my heart to anyone else after being hurt by Easton. Alfred may not have known about my past, but he understood that I wasn’t ready to let another man into my life just yet. “Come on, then.” Roman said, and he pushed the doorbell button while I held onto Alfred’s hand. In a short while, the door opened, revealing a maid. Her eyes went wide the moment she saw me, but she composed herself. “Miss Bella, do come in.” She said politely. Alfred and Roman trailed behind me as I entered. The interiors of the house hadn’t changed one bit. When I got to the living room, my gaze fell on my father. My mother was seated on the longer sofa, holding a fashion magazine, while he was seated on the circular sofa holding a newspaper. “Mother…” I called out, and they simultaneously raised their heads. “Bella?” Dad asked just to be sure, and mother’s eyes went wide. She flung the magazine in the opposite direction and rushed to embrace me in her arms. “Oh, my beautiful baby, I missed you so much.” Mother cried out, and I found myself crying as well. Dad also embraced me after, and they both stared at me with pure love. This wasn’t the reaction I had expected from them, but I’m glad it turned out this way. “After all these years, where have you been? How are you doing? What-?” Mom stopped and looked at Alfred, who was clinging to my dress. “Mommy, is she my grandmother?” Alfred asked, staring directly at her. “Mommy?!” Mother’s eyes went wide. “Is he?” “Yes, mother, this is Alfred, my son.” Mother quickly embraced Alfred after I introduced him. “My heavens! I can’t believe I’m a grandmother!” She exclaimed. “Aren’t you a fine young man?” Dad said, a bright smile on his face. “And you’re a fine old man, granddad.” Alfred responded, and we all laughed at his bold remark. “I honestly believed that after all these years, you two would be upset with me for abruptly leaving and not getting in touch.” My mother frowned as soon as I stated that. “We were worried sick. We wanted you to know that the divorce wasn’t your fault because we understood how much you loved that man. Your safety and happiness are our only priorities” Mother said, and Dad nodded in agreement. “Bella, who is this gentleman that you have brought with you?” Mother enquired with a knowing grin. Looks like they noticed Roman at last. “Roman, these are my parents, Martha and Holden Brookwood.” I said, and Roman offered his hand for a handshake, which they both accepted. “It’s nice to meet you, sir, ma’am. I’m Roman Lawrence.” Roman said, and Mom smiled sweetly. “And are you my daughter’s new boyfriend?” she asked with a naughty grin, and dad just shook his head, letting out a light chuckle.“Mother!” I exclaimed, turning to Roman with an apologetic gaze. Well, that’s my mother alright, never misses any opportunity to tease me.“What? He’s quite a charmer, isn’t he Holden?” Mother asked, her gaze glued to Roman who didn’t seem offended by her questions. “Roman is my best friend. He helped me a lot with Alfred and my studies. He’ll be staying over for tonight; we came back to start our business together.” I explained, and they both gave me a nod. “Thank you so much for looking after our daughter, Roman.” Dad said, but Roman shook his head. “If there’s anyone to thank, it’s little Alfred here. He’s been the one taking good care of Mirabella.” Roman said, smiling at Alfred, who subtly grinned. “Well, aren’t you a charming young man? You keep taking care of your mommy, alright?” Mother said to Alfred and placed a kiss on his head before putting him down. “Don’t worry, grandma, she’s my responsibility now.” Alfred said boldly, and we all couldn’t stop ourselves from laughing. “And you’re my responsibility as well.” I said, ruffling his chestnut-brown hair. “We should celebrate! We could throw a party to officially welcome you back!” Dad exclaimed, and mother nodded in agreement. “But first, you should go and freshen up. Your room is exactly as you left it. We had the maids clean it up every day, as we hoped you would return soon.” Mother said, and I couldn’t stop myself from tearing up again. It brought me great joy knowing that my parents cared so much for me. If I had known they would welcome me this way, then I would have returned home earlier. I guess I was worried for nothing. “I’d like that. Come on, Freddy.” I said this in an attempt to take Alfred with me, but mother held onto his arm. “Let me take care of the little one, you must be exhausted.” She said, and I bobbed my head. “He likes his water lukewarm and enjoys bubble baths.” I stated, and mother smiled brightly. “Go on then. I’ll have a maid show you to your room, Roman. You must be exhausted as well.” Mother said this while taking Alfred with her. I blew him a kiss before heading to my room. ***“Come in.” I said the moment I heard a knock on my door. The door opened, revealing mother, a small smile on her lips. “How’s the guest list coming off, sweetheart?” Mother asked, her expression changing into one of uncertainty.I stared at the almost blank sheet in my hand. “I think I might need help with this one.” I said, smiling a bit. I raised my head up and still found mother carrying the same expression. I know that look. “Is something wrong?” I asked, but she shook her head. “Nothing is wrong, sweetheart.” Mother let out a sigh. “I know things might not have worked out between you and your ex-husband, but our families have been friends for years. Your dad and I talked about it, but we thought it'd be best to hear from you first.” Mother said, and I creased my brows. “What is this about?” I asked, feeling a bit uneasy. “We were wondering if it’d be okay to invite Easton’s parents to your party.”EASTON’S POV “Who was she?” I asked Nicole, eagerly awaiting her response. We had arrived at her place and were heading towards the building. “Charlotte Benson! Can you believe it?!” Nicole exclaimed and I unknowingly put on a deadpan expression. Charlotte isn’t even someone I know personally; she’s an old acquaintance of Nicole from our college days. “It’s okay if you don’t remember her since it’s been years since we last saw her.” Nicole said, and I let out a sigh, disappointed that the woman didn’t turn out to be Mirabella. “Are you certain you wouldn’t like me to accompany you?” Nicole asked when I was about to head back to the car. “You should get some rest; I’ll see you tomorrow.” I replied but she held onto my arm. “How about staying over tonight? We haven’t seen each other in two weeks, and-” “I have work to take care of Nicole.” I diligently turned her down. I just wanted to take a long nap after the stress of the day and to stop thin
MIRABELLA’S POV “Mommy!” Alfred hurried up to me and I threw my arms around him, kissing his temple and then releasing him.“You look very handsome in your tuxedo, sweetheart.” I said to him as I adjusted his collar.“And you look gorgeous as always, mommy. That man totally agrees with me, as he’s been staring at you for a while now.” Alfred said, his gaze shifting a bit to the left, and my gaze followed his line of sight out of curiosity.I let out a gasp the moment my gaze met with the said man. I never thought I would see him so soon, and especially not at my welcome party. I told myself countless times that it wouldn’t matter if I saw him, that I wouldn’t care. It’s been six years and I changed in those years. Growing up, I was raised in love and never experienced any difficulties, well except for the times I spent with Easton during our marriage but that’s all in the past. Although my heart raced as I stared into his hazel eyes, it wasn’t because I felt intimidated. Even after
EASTON’S POV I let out a sigh as I held my head in an attempt to stop the wicked headache that was stopping me from concentrating. It’s my fault anyway for drinking so much; I just needed to clear my head after everything that happened today. I had left the party early as I couldn't stand seeing her with that man. The way he held her, and she laughed almost every time he said something, she seemed so open and jovial around him, and for some unknown reason, it angered me. She did say he was the father of Alfred, so what else was I expecting? But still, it was a lot to take in. I didn’t mind the embarrassment I received at the party; I wouldn’t blame Martha for acting that way. I should be happy she’s moved on; I should be happy she’s doing alright; I should be happy seeing her happy again, but instead I feel a bit uneasy. I shouldn’t be jealous, not one bit. I was the one who asked for divorce; she loved me, but I never cared about her feelings. But then again, for someone who cl
NICOLE'S POVI dialed Easton’s line for the third time, hoping he would pick up, but it switched to voice mail again. I finally left a message before throwing my phone on the bed. It is unlike him to miss my calls this much, and I started to think his parents had finally gotten to him. All my efforts to get them to accept me were null and void. I thought if I pulled the poor and humble girl act on them like I did Easton, they would love me like they did Mirabella, but that didn’t work either. I don’t get what they see in Mirabella that’s making them hate me this much. Unlike myself, Mirabella came from a rich family; she had everything at the tip of her fingers, while I had to suffer and bleed my way through just to get a penny. It didn’t help that my parents weren’t supportive. My mother abandoned me with my gambling-addicted father when I was barely one year old. At first, he paid attention to me, but the moment I turned five, it was like I didn’t exist. I watched other kids with
ROMAN’S POV“I’m sorry about what happened, Roman. It felt like my best option at that moment.” I let out a soft chuckle, not because what Mirabella had said was funny, but because of her cute pout and the puppy eyes she made while saying it. Even if I were mad, which I am not, her expression would have melted my anger away in less than a second. At first, I was shocked by the abrupt revelation, but I immediately understood why she did that. I don’t mind keeping the lie and playing along as long as it makes her happy. I love Alfred, and would be more than happy to be his father if Mirabella would have me. “I understand, Mirabella. You don’t have to be sorry.” I replied, giving her a reassuring smile. “I’m happy to help; that’s what friends are for, right?” I added, and she smiled brightly, nodding her head immediately. “Yes, yes, that’s right.” She replied, still carrying that bright smile. Even though it hurt me a bit how she accepted without the slightest hesitation, it made me mo
MIRABELLA’S POV My pupils dilated as my eyes scanned through the document in my hand. It was a proposal from one of the companies Roman and I were to work with. My gaze went back and forth to the company’s name; Delta-Grey. I couldn’t believe my eyes! Just when I had resolved to keep a fair distance away from Easton, it turned out to be this way. “Is everything alright?” Roman’s voice snapped me out of my thoughts, and I raised my head up to meet his gaze. “This…” I said, showing him the document. “This is Easton’s company.” I added as he received the document from me, his eyes scanned it thoroughly. “I see.” He mumbled, lowering his hand. He smiled slightly, and took a seat next to me. “You don’t have to let this get to you. I’ll go to the meeting in your stead if you want.” Roman suggested, and I smiled brightly. He’s always so considerate, putting my needs and comfort before his. Indeed, I’m more than lucky to have him in my life. I stared at the document in his hand. Running
MIRABELLA’S POV “Yes, I am.” I responded boldly, putting on a deadpan face. Nicole glared at me, but I wasn’t moved at all by her vicious gaze. “You really are something, Mirabella. After all these years, why did you suddenly come back? If you’re here for Easton, you should just go back and save yourself the embarrassment.” Nicole said, folding her arms across her chest. “Do you feel threatened by my presence, Nicole?” I asked with a knowing smirk. “The fact that I’ve been gone for six years and you still haven’t gotten the title of Mrs. Grey must be really frustrating for you, isn’t it?” I snickered. It felt good to see the defeated look on her face, even though it didn’t last. “You seem to forget your place, Mirabella.” Nicole started clicking her tongue. “You seem to forget the fact that Easton has always and will always be in love with me. You were married to him for three years, but during that period, I’ve always been the one in his heart.” She stated, letting out a scoff. “
NICOLE’S POV I stormed into Easton’s office after watching Mirabella leave majestically. I can’t believe he didn’t tell me about her return, and I had to find out through one of my spies. I came here to ask Easton about it, but I guess it’s already confirmed now that I’ve seen her for myself. Mirabella has always been a thorn in my flesh, and I was more than happy when she left. I don’t know why she’s back all of a sudden, but I’ll definitely find out and put an end to whatever treacherous plan she has. I pushed open the door and froze at the sight that welcomed me. Easton’s gaze was on his laptop, and his face was lit up in a bright smile! It was as though I could hear him humming to imaginary music while he worked on his computer. What the heck?! Easton has never been one to act merrily, at least not for the past six years. He always forced a smile on his lips, but this one right here was a genuine smile, and I could only guess the reason behind it: Mirabella! I stood at akimbo
~KIARA~I took a deep breath as I crossed the main gates of Ousen University, a bright smile on my face. I was finally in Ousen! My transfer application got approved a month ago, and now I was to complete my registration before finally being seen as an official Ousen student.“First day here?” I turned to the side and noticed a girl standing next to me. Her appearance took me aback at first but at second glance, it settled in.Her hair was a mix of purple and black, parted at the side and stopped just above her shoulders. She wore a black strapless crop top and light blue bum short, and had a bird tattoo on her shoulder which stopped some distance before her elbow, and lastly, a nose piercing. She was giving off gothic vibes and at first glance, one would think she was a meanie but I wasn't one to judge people based on appearance... Well since Natasha of course.“How did you know?” I asked with a slight smile.“You're standing at the gates with a bright smile on your face as though y
~SANDY~“Sandy, take me with you when next you go to meet your aunt.” Kiara suddenly blurted out and I turned to her with a smile.“You sure?”“Of course. I want to meet your cousins and who knows, Andrew might just be my type.” She squirled and I chuckled softly.“Over Gabriel already?” I asked her with a smirk and she stared at me in shock, her expression laced with panic as her eyes darted around the living room as though searching for someone or something.“Why would you say that out loud? What if Alfred heard you?” She asked worriedly.“Heard what?” Alfred walked in that moment and Kiara's face lost all colors. We were both in the living room, watching a movie and chatting. It's been ages since we spent time together this way and I decided to make the most of every little time at hand.Hailey had suddenly gone back home due to an emergency and we haven't heard from her for almost a week now.I really hope she was doing alright as this was unlike her to be unreachable for so long.
~SANDY~As disappointed as I was that I couldn't get my release, my priority at that moment was chasing after Kiara who had run out of the room after obviously being traumatized by what she had just seen.“Kiara, Kiara!” I yelled out her name but she kept running until she reached the living room before I finally caught up with her, dragging her back by her hand.“What were you thinking, Sandy?! I know I wanted you and my brother to be together but not like this! He's engaged for goodness sake!” Kiara scolded me but I simply smiled at her, happy she wasn't upset based on me being with Alfred but rather because she thought he was still engaged.“Kiara —”“Don't try to reason with me. I'm telling Mom right now so you two don't have to suffer anymore. If you're too much of a coward to make your relationship public then I will!” She snapped, cutting me off and was about to walk away but I pulled her back again.“Kiara it's not like that —”“Don't try to tell me it's not what I think. I cl
~SANDY~I smiled the moment we walked out of the airport, inhaling the fresh cool breeze that was blowing non-stop.We were finally back in New York and it felt like I had been gone forever.“You ready?” Alfred asked as he walked up to me, taking my hand in his and I bobbed my head in response, a bright smile on my face.We got to the mansion soon enough and Alfred rang the doorbell which opened shortly after, revealing a rather grumpy Kiara. Her face lit up the moment she saw me and she ran past Alfred as she engulfed me in a tight hug.“Sandy! My gosh you're finally back.” She beamed and I hugged her back tightly.“It's good to see you too, Kiki.” Alfred sighed and Kiara turned to him with a small smile.“Since you brought Sandy back in one piece, I guess I'm happy to see you too.” She responded before dragging me into the house.Mr. Easton had just settled down on the dining table, ready to have his breakfast when his gaze landed on us.“Sandy?” He called just to be certain and I b
~SANDY~ I slowly opened my eyes, feeling sore all over, especially between my legs. I felt a heavy weight like a blanket keeping me still and slowly realized it was Alfred's big arms wrapped protectively around me. My cheeks flushed as the memories of last night resurfaced. I couldn't believe what we did, what I did last night. It was as though I had been possessed by a lustful sex driven demon or something that just couldn't get enough of it. I slowly turned around, trying not to wake Alfred up. He was still fast asleep and looked utterly worn out. I did that. I must have drained him out last night, and to think it was actually my first time! “Did you sleep well?” His hoarse voice resonated in the room and I widened my eyes in shock. How long has he been awake?! He slowly opened his eyes, his beautiful hazel green eyes meeting my gaze. “Good morning.” He smiled at me and I found myself burying my face in the sheets. I didn't know how to face him after what happened. I didn'
~ALFRED~ As Sandy rode me, my hands found her hips, guiding her as she increased the pace, her breathy moans mingling with mine. We were two halves of a whole, our bodies moving in perfect harmony as we chased our release. “I love you!” She cried out, her body shuddering as she came, her inner walls clamping down on my cock. But she didn't stop, instead continuing to ride me with renewed fervor. I realized in that moment that I had unleashed a horny, sex-starved beast within Sandy. Sandy’s hunger for me was insatiable. As I tried to catch my breath, she reached for my hand and placed it on her breasts, urging me to pinch and twist her nipples as she rode me. “Oh, yes baby!” She moaned out while I cursed under my breath, letting out low groans of pleasure. My hips bucked against her, matching her frantic pace as I lost myself in the waves of ecstasy. I groaned as I came inside her once more, my release mingling with hers as we collapsed onto the bed in a sweaty heap. But
~ALFRED~ I broke the kiss after what seemed like forever, giving Sandy room to catch her breath as I leaned my head against hers. “This is your chance to back down, Sandra Willows. If we keep going at this rate, I won't stop until I've claimed all of you, every inch of you, and every fiber in your body as mine.” I warned but the look in her eyes told me she wanted this just as much as I did. “Take me, Alfred. I want you. All of you.” She breathed and I reconnected our lips almost immediately, this time in a more gentle kiss. I lifted her up in one swift motion, walking towards the dinning table and gently placing her on it without breaking the kiss. The kiss was a slow burn, our lips moving together in a sensual dance. I savored the taste of Sandy's lips, drinking in her moans and sighs as my hands roamed her body. Her skin was soft beneath my touch, her curves fitting perfectly into my palms. I felt her hands grip my shoulders, her fingers digging into my skin as our kiss intens
~SANDY~The next few days were filled with so much touring and shopping as I got to bond with Freya and Andrew since Grace preferred to stay indoors.I knew I couldn't stay long due to school so I decided to make the most of the little time we had. Alfred and I had decided to explore a little bit on our own today since it was our last day here. We visited the Niagara water falls, the museum and other art galleries, taking lots of photos and making fun memories. After what seemed like a long day, we decided to take a stroll at the park before we would head back to Aunt Paulina's place.“This is the most fun I've had in like forever.” I beamed and Alfred raised a brow at me.“Are you saying our trip to Tokyo was no fun?” He asked and I chuckled softly.“I mean there was so much tension between us then, so I can hardly call that fun but I did have a great time there.” I admitted and he smirked.“So you're saying I bring the fun in our trips then?” I rolled my eyes at his question.“Don
~SANDY~“Are you going to ring it or should we set up a camp here?” Alfred teased as I wiped my sweaty hands on my jeans. If the address was right, then we were standing right outside my aunt's house and I've been trying to muster up the courage to ring the doorbell. I knew she sounded ecstatic on the phone but now that we were right outside her door, I felt really nervous. What if she doesn't like me that much in person? What if I don't like her so much in person?I mean she's my last family member from my mom's side, and family should always stick together but that doesn't mean they actually like each other.‘Come on Sandy, you're here now, you might as well just get it over with.' I said within, trying to encourage myself as I finally rang the doorbell.I hardly sweat this much except after a run but my insides were literally soaked right now, and my heartbeat was thudding violently against my chest as though it would explode any minute. The door slowly creaked open, revealing a m
