Jocelyn’s POV

“Mummy, can I have frozen berries?” Olivia asked as we trekked into the house.

The three of us; Henry, Olivia, and I were back from work and school respectively.

Eduardo was supposed to pick them up from school but apparently, he had an important business dinner to attend, so he couldn't collect them from the kindergarten.

“Yes, baby,” I said, placing my bag on the nearest couch. “Now that you say it, I also feel like eating some frozen berries.”

Olivia and I exchanged a smile while Henry took off his shoes before I headed to the kitchen.

However, I was disappointed when I saw that there were no frozen berries left in the refrigerator. Only then did I remember that Eduardo and I had snacked with the remaining packet last night.

Not wanting to go back to the living room empty-handed, I grabbed a packet of grape with three apples.

Afterward, I rinsed the fruits, slice them into a plate, put the plate on a tray then grabbed two plastic forks before heading back to the sitt

Jocelyn’s POV Walking into Eduardo's parents' house, I was shrouded with a wave of chilling cold that raced down my spine. The first and only time that I had come here was when Eduardo had introduced me to his mum and sister eight years ago.Time had really flown by fast.A woman who seemed to be in her early forties met us at the door.“Good afternoon, Mr Lopez. We spoke over the phone, I'm the nurse,” She said, outstretching her hand to Eduardo who shook it.“Oh, hi,” He replied then motioned to Ivy and I. “My girlfriend, Jocelyn and my little sister, Ivy.”She exchanged pleasantries with me before offering me her hand.“Hi,” I said, as the nurse clasped my hand in a firm handshake. “Your mum didn't mention you had a girlfriend,” The nurse said, darting an accusatory look at Eduardo and I. “She told me you were married.”“It's really complicated,” Eduardo said. “We will get to it later. Where's mum? I want to see her.”“Oh, right. Pardon my manners. Please forget I asked you a que

Eduardo’s POV “Are you in yet?” Ivy's voice came from the other end of the line as I steered my car into the driveway.I was currently at home in the middle of the day to plan a surprise for Jocelyn as I planned on asking her to be my wife again today. To say I was nervous that my plan was going to fall through was probably an understatement because I hadn't been able to concentrate on work throughout the day.I was excited yet uncertain to see how things would turn out.“Nope, almost,” I replied, switching off the ignition and grabbing my phone and briefcase. “Today is really happening,” Ivy uttered. “I hope it goes well. Don't mess it up, okay?”“I won't even dare,” I replied, as I headed into the house. There was some shuffling before Ivy said. “You'd better not. Anyway, I have to go now. I'm cooking lunch for my niece and nephew.”Ivy had offered to take in Henry and Olivia for the night, so that Jocelyn and I could spend time with each other. Thus, she was going to pick up the

As I made to deepen it, he pulled away and chuckled, which made me huff.“You are so cute when you are horny,” He said, climbing the stairs.“I bet you won't find me cute w

Jocelyn’s POV “Mummy, we are back,” Olivia's voice came from the sitting room as I stacked stick meats on a plate.“Welcome, baby,” I said. “Where's your dad?”Olivia and Eduardo had gone to the supermarket to pick up some groceries and wine.Henry had opted out of the trip to watch cartoons and periodically come to the kitchen to help me run some errands.“He's coming,” She replied. “Mummy, what are you making?”“I'm making a special type of salad,” I divulged. “The one your dad likes.”Being the weird person he was, Eduardo loved eating coleslaw salad with egg and peanut butter. Before I met him, I had never known such an absurd food combination to exist but after I did, I started to embrace his weirdness.“Mummy, can I help?” She asked, to which I nodded.“You can climb the stool and help me add chilli to the stew,” I said, moving out of the way, so she could climb the stool.“Okay, mummy,” She said, as I handed her the pepper shaker and stood behind her to watch her work. Her lit

Jocelyn’s POV “You look so fuckable right now, baby,” Eduardo said as I checked the tiny pimple of my forehead in the mirror.I was currently donning his hoodie with nothing but my panties underneath, as we had spent the whole of last night fucking like rabbits in heat.My back still ached blissfully which filled me with a sense of lustful nostalgia.“Well then come fuck me,” I said, staring at him through the mirror, my lips curved with a suggestive smirk.Eduardo was up and standing immediately in nothing but boxers. His sweat-glistened muscles were as sexy as ever, flexing as he walked up behind me and grabbed my waist, littering kissed down my nape.“I could live inside you forever,” He said, his hands weaving underneath my shirt to cup and fondle my boobs, turning the moaning switch within me on.Holding onto the edge of the dressing table for dear life, I tilted my neck sideways to give him full, unwavering access to the skin there as he moved fervently, eager to taste me.“W-W

Doing nothing but making love to my fiancée who I loved the most in the whole world was the best way to spend our vacation in my opinion.Jocelyn was the one who wanted to take a stroll because left to me, I didn't mind spending the entire day inside her.“We can move here if you want,” I said. “We will just find a way to move our kids and businesses over here.”Gazing into my eyes with her doe, brown eyes, Jocelyn giggled–a high,

He's funny, tall, and handsome.”For peace to reign, I decided against pushing the subject further and instead remain on the current topic which was the new guy.“So how and when did he ask you out?”“Three days ago after we finished a surgery together,” Ivy chuckled. “A romantic to the core, isn't he?”“I guess he is in a way,” I replied.“He told me he got an epiphany during the surgery and realized that life was too short to keep one's feelings h

Jocelyn’s POV As I flipped through the pages of a maternity book, a knock came on the door of the bedroom before Eduardo let himself in, a smile playing on his handsome face.“Hi, baby. How are you?” He asked, walking over to press a kiss to my lips and forehead.“Good,” I replied, rubbing my gargantuan belly. “The baby is kicking gently today which is quite surprising. If I didn't have an experience with pregnancy, I would have asked you to drive me to the hospital, so we could get her checked.”I was currently in the seventh month and last trimester of my pregnancy, and as much as I loved my unborn baby girl, I couldn't wait for it to come out.Last week, I had found out that I was having a girl via the surprise baby shower Amelia and Ivy had thrown me and I was very excited to meet my little baby girl. However, being cooped up at home for the past three months could be sickening and frustrating because I was always alone in the house.Three months ago during an appointment with my

Eduardo’s POV Leaning against the doorway of our bedroom, I observed Jocelyn as she laid, cocooned in the blanket, face scrunched up in displeasure and possible ache, which she wouldn't admit. She had been like that for the past five hours and it was currently ten in the morning.I had come home last night to meet Ivy having dinner with the kids and Jocelyn copoed up in bed, burning hot with a temperature. All my efforts to get her to go to the hospital had been in vain, as she had vehemently stated she was fine and didn't need to be assessed by a doctor.Right now, as I looked at her, I mentally admonished myself for listening to her last night, instead of doing a better job of persuading her to see a doctor.“That does it, baby. We are going to the hospital,” I said, and watched her try but fail to sit up.I was instantly at her side, propping a pillow behind her and covering her with the blanket.“Thanks, Ed,” She said then sneezed into the handkerchief in her hand. “I don't need

Eduardo’s POV “It's been less than a year since I left yet it feels like a decade has passed,” Jocelyn said, one hand out of the window and her eyes squeezed shut as the wind tousled her long, auburn hair.Even though she couldn't see it, I darted her a smirk before turning my attention to the road.We were currently in Australia for the week, as Henry and Olivia were currently on summer break.Jocelyn and I had decided to take them to Australia, mainly because we wanted to expose Olivia to the country and stuff.Due to the sick plan Nancy had pulled, she had been unable to spend time in Australia with her mother and sibling.Although that was in the past now, I couldn't help but feel vitriolic anger toward both Nancy and Sofia whenever I thought about it.But as Jocelyn had told me the other day, focusing on the bad things that happened in the past instead of being pleased and grateful with one's current situation, wasn't the right thing to do.I had Jocelyn and my wonderful childre

Jocelyn’s POV I inhaled shakily as I stroked my fingers across the framed picture of Henry and Olivia on the nightstand. In a few hours time, my babies would turn six and ten years from now on, they would be in high school.Another two years later, they would be in college and before I knew it, they would have their respective families.Of course I knew a day like that was still several years away, I couldn't help but feel a sort of bittersweet emotion at the mere thought. To think about six years ago, they and their brother in heaven, had been in my belly, wrapped around each other, small, tiny, pink, and completely helpless was so heartbreaking yet heartwarming.“Come on, Josie. We promised to focus on the positive part, didn't we?” I chided myself, using the back of my hand to wipe off my tears.Just then, the bathroom door creaked and Eduardo walked out.“Babe, what time are we picking up the cake?
