Scarlet POV

I was sitting on the edge of the couch waiting for my brother and his mate to tell me what news they had for me. After I changed, I went to his office, like his text message told me to but he wasn’t here yet! My knees were bouncing so high, it was like I would take off into space at any moment. Jumping up, I started pacing around.

Maverick’s office was large. A huge solid oak desk sat towards the back of the office with a very expensive rug under it. The rug itself was around 100k. Very outdoorsy vibe with browns, greens and nature was woven into it. There are two arm chairs directly in front of his office and to the right is a sitting area with a bar.
