Kaia Kennedy eyed her reflection in the mirror with a disappointed frown. She looked...okay, but....

"You look like a whore.."

Turning at the rude girl who was busy munching her favorite Doritos, Kaia glared at her and snorted. "Nobody is asking for your opinion."

But she just raise a well sculpted brow at her, still munching in a very obnoxious way that was very far from the elegant and classy woman she was known to be. "Well, this is a free country and I'm free to say what's on my mind..."

Sighing, Kaia looked back at her reflection in the mirror and bit her lower lip. Glancing up and looking at the woman sitting behind her she said in a small voice.... "Can you help me.. Please?"

Her friend just snorted. Dip her long and elegant hand inside the bag of Doritos and took a mouthful. "I thought you're not asking for my opinion."

She stomp her feet and drag her already tired body and stop in front of her friend. She's already tired. How many times did she change her clothes already? She can't take it anymore. "Come on, Kat. You're the expert here.. Help me. I'm— Oh my God! It's already past seven! I'm going to be late! Come on Kat! Please?!"

It's Katherine Michael's turn to sigh, but grimace when she came face to face to Kaia's bountiful mounds. It's bouncing obscenely and any guy would probably drool at the sight but unfortunately she's a woman. Although, for whatever reason she felt so frustrated. She wonder why?

Well, that’s beside the point. What she said awhile ago was the truth. To her this red dress would probably looked elegant but because the neckline was cut so deep, it looked differently to Kaia.

Kaia is a very beautiful woman. And there's a lot of guy who can attest to that. She had that kind of beauty which kinda looked like she's an Angel. She has a small heart shape face, deep set of eyes paired with long curly eyelashes, cute button nose, although her lips were kinda big but it didn't make her ugly, actually it added to her appeal. She also has long wavy black hair and fairy ivory skin. The only downside to her appearance is her height. She's barely 5'5 and with her looks she appear younger to her true age which is, 25. Thankfully though, even though she's small she has long legs because God if that's not the case, she'll probably looked like she’s 15.

"Kat, come on!"

Katherine shook her head to get out any unnecessary thoughts and stood up. "Okay, okay. Gee, you should've called me last night."

"I forgot, okay."

"You mean you're busy watching your favorite Korean drama that's why you forgot."

Kaia just giggle at her. Figures.

Five minutes later....

"Wow! Is this me?!" Kaia exclaimed when she saw how Kat transformed her to an elegant and mature woman she wanted to be. She didn't do much. Actually she's still wearing the damn red dress. But Kat somehow transform her and make her somewhat conservative and elegant. Although her chest area is still indecent but with a black jacket on top of the dress it make her more mature. Also, Kat straightened her wavy hair and it looks so good on her that she looked like her age.

"How the hell did you do it?!"

"Well, it's the make up Kaia. You should learn how to do it yourself, you know."

Still feeling awestruck of her brand new self, Kaia smiled confidently at her reflection and squared her shoulders.

It's already 7:30 and her appointment is at 8. Thankfully their meeting place was just around the corner that she could arrive there in 5 minutes.

She turned to Kat and smiled. "I'm going."

"Yeah, yeah..."

Well, her meeting tonight is not just any meeting. Tonight, she was going to prove to her father that she's capable and could be trusted with important stuff too. Sure, her father was going to flip when he found out what she's about to do tonight, but this chance was too good to pass.

She wouldn't be able to get a chance like this ever again. Normally back in Europe her father would always kept her on a short leash, watching her every move like a hawk. Kaia would have liked to think that the reason for that was her father's over-protectiveness, but she wasn't delusional.

Kaia knows that Arthur Kennedy, simply didn't trust her only child. She tried not to take it too personally, but it was high time to change that. She hadn't graduated with honors from Harvard only to spend her life being a pretty face for her father's marketing campaigns.

Kaia had always hated it, but she was downright sick of it after the last two months she had spent in LA, attending meaningless events in her father's stead for the LA branch of Kennedy Corporations.

The email she had received a few days ago was a welcome break from the mind-numbing routine she'd grown accustomed to. Well, technically, the message wasn't for her.

If Kaia hadn't been in LA, her father's people would have simply forwarded it to the main office in London where his father currently was. Strictly speaking, she should have done the same, instead of reading it, but she had been bored and restless and the message had intrigued her.

Mr. Arthur Kennedy,

My secretary seems to be having trouble getting through to you. She informs me she's been unable to reach you. I told her you were a busy man. But I'm the same. And, I'm also not a very patient man. We have things to discuss. Meet me at, LA downtown, January 21st, 9 p.m., at a restaurant named "Mostaf." I'm expecting you to be there at the exact time. You know how much I hate tardiness. And I don't want our friendship to be ruined over such small thing.

Looking forward to our meeting,

Eton Domino

Kaia had read the message several times. Something about it was off. The friendly tone seemed fake. Or was she just imagining it? She didn't think so.

Eton Domino. The name sounded vaguely familiar, but Kaia couldn't remember where she'd heard it. But the man, whoever he was, must be important enough to be able to assume such a superior tone with her father. Hell, the guy was practically ordering her father around. She had never met anyone who had enough power-and nerve-to do that. Everyone knew her father wasn't someone to be trifled with.

Her father was known as ruthless, and powerful British billionaire-a billionaire who was rumored to have dealings with the Italian and Russian mafia. And Kaia is aware of the rumors circling around his father. They'd been around all her life, but no one could ever prove anything. Not even she, his only daughter, knew for sure.

The fact that the email's sender wasn't at all worried about ramifications despite her father's reputation meant that, whoever the man was, he wasn't someone to be trifled with, either.

She should have forwarded the message to her father when she had realized it. But Kaia had always been too curious for her own good.

It took only a few minutes of Googling to find the information she needed.

Eton Vasily Domino, thirty-eight was an Italian multi-billionaire. Apparently, he owned dozens of companies all over the world and sat on the board of dozens more.

But it wasn't his wealth that attracted her attention.

Kaia was kind of embarrassed to admit it, but she couldn't help but to stare at the photographs of the guy. Eton Domino was a tall, dark-haired man with broad shoulders and the kind of muscle definition that most men could only dream of. He looked like a professional boxer rather than a successful businessman.

It was silly to form an opinion of a man she'd never met, but the more Kaia looked at his pictures, the more she felt attracted to him. Even when the guy smiled and it never seemed to reach his eyes. There was actually nothing attractive about those eyes. If anything, the cruelty lurking in them was downright ugly. The guy was handsome enough, she supposed, if one liked cold, assertive men who looked like they could snap your neck and be bored while doing it. Kaia certainly didn't like his type. But, for some reason, she had trouble dragging her eyes away. It was silly. It was just a photo. And a photo shouldn't make her feel so... unnerved.

Shaking her head, Kaia checked the time on her phone, one more time. If she didn't leave the hotel soon, she was going to be late for her appointment.

.......

Ten minutes later, Kaia was finally on her way to the restaurant. Leaning back against the taxi seat, she stared out the window.

Butvit didn't even take a minute, and she's frowning again as her thoughts returned to the upcoming meeting with Eton Domino. Not for the first time, a sliver of doubt crept into her mind. She was going there blindly. She had no idea what the Italian tycoon wanted from her father. The results of her research on the guy weren't exactly reassuring, either.

Eton Domino had the reputation of a shark; it was said he controlled his business empire with an iron fist. Kaia had searched to her father's Corporations' database, but she didn't have enough clearance and couldn't find what connected her father to that man.

God, she was sick of being kept in the dark. Yes, maybe what she was doing was reckless, but it was the only way she could force her father's hand: if she learned something she wasn't supposed to, her father would have little choice but to trust her.

Maybe you aren't ready to be trusted.

The thought made Kaia's stomach flip-flop. It was something she'd been trying to avoid thinking about. What was she going to do if the rumors were true and her father really had dealings with criminals? If her father was a criminal? Would Kaia want to be trusted with that sort of information?

"This is the place missy," grunted out the driver as the cab stopped.

Kaia flinched and looked out the window. She hadn't even noticed that they were already here.

"Thanks," she said, thanking the driver in and shoving a hundred dollars into the man's hand. Kaia had no idea whether it was enough or not: she's not use to taxis but she can't possibly asked her chauffeur to drive her because if she do so, her flyer will immediately know what she's doing. wasn't good enough to understand the driver's strange accent.

The driver shot her an odd look and muttered something under his breath-clearly something uncomplimentary. Quite used to it, Kaia grabbed her purse and got out of the car, hoping she didn't look as nervous as she felt. Taking a deep breath,  she straightened her shoulders and walked to the front entrance of the restaurant. This meeting was important for her future. She couldn't screw it up.

The restaurant was well-decorated and elegant in an old-fashioned way. Kaia silently thought while she handed her coat over and informed the polite hostess that she was there to meet Eton Domino. The woman smiled before leading her to a table in the secluded corner of the restaurant. And surprisingly, he was already seated at the table, his body language relaxed, almost bored. The pictures didn’t do him justice, Kaia thought. They failed to capture the intensity of his presence, and those eyes were actually more unsettling in person. It took every bit of her self-control not to blush and fidget as the guy studied her coolly. “Good evening. My father was unable to attend and sent me in his stead,” Kaia said, extending her hand for a handshake. “Kaia Kennedy.” Eton Domino didn’t even move an inch, his pale blue eyes boring into her.Eton wanted to actually laugh out loud when he saw her step inside the restaurant. Of course she knew her. Had seen her and even remembered all the deta

Time dragged by. Minutes, hours, Kaia couldn’t tell. Her tired mind was busy conjuring up one horrible scenario after another as she waited for them to get to their destination, wherever the fuck it was. The driver had told her to shut up when she repeatedly tried to interrogate him, so she was left alone with her thoughts. As a teenager, Kaia always thought she had her life all figured out. She was going to fall in love with a nice, insanely

  • Deadly Attraction    CHAPTER FOUR

It's been a week, and any last remnants of Kaia's optimism were extinguished by the hunger gnawing at her insides. After all, her daily ration only consist of one slice of hard bread and a small bottle of water. She felt very tired and weak, and sometimes she also feel dizzy. In all her life she had never known true hunger, not until now. Kaia knew that if she didn’t have low blood sugar, it probably would have been nowhere as bad, but it was a small comfort when hunger kept her awake at night, curling up on the narrow bed, the only piece of furniture in the room she was kept in. The worst part was how some of the guards liked to torture her by eating all kinds of delicious-smelling food in front of her, laughing when she stared at them with hungry eyes and drooling mouth. Thankfully though, that's the only abuse they're giving her. Because in most cases she knew that a woman like her can experience much worse. Their boss hadn’t made an appearance yet. From what Kaia had overheard,

Eton Domino strode away from the captive’s room, his mood darker than ever. The maid he met on the way to his office took one look at him, paled, and ducked her head, as if hoping he wouldn’t notice her. Smart little thing. Too bad he was to worked up right now.He grabbed her arm. She froze, barely breathing.“Lena, is it?” he said quietly, eyeing her blond hair and slim figure. She wasn’t particularly pretty, but she had plush, soft-looking lips. His eyes lingered on them. His jaw tightened.“Yes,” she said meekly, glancing up at him for a moment before dropping her gaze. He could see her pulse beating madly at the delicate base of her neck. She was scared of him. Or perhaps she was excited. Probably both.Silently, he opened the door to his office and went in. He knew she would follow him inside. He wasn’t wrong. He rarely was.“Close the door,” he said. The door clicked shut behind him. There was a moment of silence, broken only by the howling of the wind outside and a tree branch

  • Deadly Attraction    CHAPTER SIX

His head is throbbing with an incoming headache, that's why Eton Domino was in a foul mood when he entered his room later that night. He’d lost a great opportunity to increase his profit in Central Europe just because he hadn’t been there in person to see the deal through. What the fuck is the use of paying a lot of money to his executives if they couldn’t do anything without him? Sighing, he went to the en-suite and got some Tylenol from the first aid kit. Swallowing the pills, he suddenly stiffened at the noise in the adjoining room. Fucking shit. That almost gave him a heart attack. Of fucking course—the prisoner. He’d almost forgotten about his order to move her there. Eton unlocked the door, pushed it open, and entered the room. Kaia Kennedy was sitting on the bed, rubbing her stomach. She looked up, her eyes widening when she caught sight of him. Otherwise, she didn’t even flinch. Vlad had been right about one thing: the girl wasn’t prone to useless hysterics. “Thank you

  • Deadly Attraction    CHAPTER SEVEN

The first hour had gone by and Kaia's still okay. Her stomach was full, the room was warm, and she even had something like a plan. She was relieved and a bit surprised by the punishment Eton had chosen for her. She had expected worse. At first, Kaia had been a little apprehensive when she devised the plan and worried to get caught in the act, but it all went without any problems. Eton had bought it. Now that the guy was assured of his own superiority and cleverness, assured that he could see right through her, it would be easier to soften him up and lure him into a false sense of security. Kaia felt a pang of shame before reminding herself not to be silly. Eton Domino was a criminal. Men like him deserved nothing less. Besides, it wasn’t like she was planning to kill the guy or something. She just wanted to save herself. She just wanted to go home. That was all. The second hour was harder, and the third hour was worse. She was getting more uncomfortable by the minute. Her knees w

Because once again, It was snowing outside.Kaia rubbed at her eyes and stretched in the soft bed, feeling deliciously well-rested and comfy. Her muscles ached a little, but she felt more comfortable than she had in ages. Had she really let that man handle her, hold her while she pissed, and generally treat her like a thing? His thing?Kaia's stomach did a little flip-flop. “Will I be invited to the wedding?” he said at last, his blue eyes as unreadable as ever. And fuck it, but she thought she saw some longing there. Did he has feelings for me?Kaia almost laugh out loud at that outrageous thought... There's no fucking way Eton Domino had feelings for her. There's no way... Right?Kaia shook her head, waking herself from her daydreaming. There's no way that this iceberg would like her so she should stop thinking of that possibility. But she didn’t forgot to answer him, “That would be a bit awkward, don’t you think? Usually people don’t invite their…” She hesitated, flustered. What, exactly, was Eton to her, again? “…men they have slept with in the past to their wedding.”“Men they have slept with in the past,” Eton repeated, amusement flashing through his face again. His hand settled on Kaia's lower back, its weight pressing her down. “Are you saying you wouldn’t spread your legs for me on your wedding day?”Kaia spluttered. “Of course I wouldn’t! Who d

  • Deadly Attraction    CHAPTER FIFTEEN

ONE MONTH LATER Rubbing the coarse hair on Eton's wide chest, Kaia wondered how it was possible to feel this good with a man who was the definition of Mr. Wrong. It was kind of freaky how sexually compatible she and him were. It wasn’t like Kaia's previous sexual experiences were bad—far from it—but this was something else. This was the sort of attraction that made her feel almost high when Eton Domino touches her, and sex-starved when he didn’t. It was heady. It was scary. It was scary how well Eton could read her body and play it like an instrument. He was bossy when Kaia wanted to be owned and ordered around, he was gentle and understanding when she needed cuddles and snuggles, and he was deliciously cruel and scary when Kaia was in the mood to pretend she didn’t want it, even though she's actually craving for it. The scariest part was, it went both ways. Kaia was just as attuned to Eton. When he was in a black mood, shr found herself turning pliant and extremely submissive, l

He stayed still, sweat dripping down his forehead.Kaia whined, sounding dazed already.“Move,” she whispered, squirming. “Please.”“No,” Eton said. “If you want to be fucked, you’ll have to work for it.”“I don’t understand,” Kaia said, sounding frustrated as she shifted her hips impatiently.Eton chuckled hoarsely and pulled out until only the tip remained inside, his eyes locked on where their bodies were connected.“Fuck yourself on my shaft, little one. Take what you need.” Kaia made a small sound. She braced herself on the pillow, sucking in breaths, and then slammed her hips back.Eton hissed but remained still, watching as she fuck herself in his cock the way she liked it. But Eton did something unexpectedly. He let go of her and stepped away. Deflating, Kaia watched numbly as Eton strode out of the room. And the door locked after him with an audible click. Kaia plopped back on Eton's bed and groaned in frustration, touching her tingling lips. “You’re such an idiot, Kaia. It was either that or she would started crying.Fuck this... *** “I told you to stay out of this room,” Vlad said when he brought her food. Kaia took the tray and ignored his words. In the past six days since Eton had left, she had perfected the art of ignoring the man's head of security. It wasn’t difficult. She didn’t know what Eton had told Vlad, but these days the beefy blond barely dared look at her when he brought her food.It was actually kind of funny how carefully Vlad avoided any eye contact. It was a stark contrast to the way the guy had behaved before: the look in Vlad’s eyes had use

Kaia crossed her arms over her chest. “As if. It's because I’m hungry.” “You’re hungry,” Eton repeated, managing to convey how utterly unimportant the fact was to him. His facial expression didn't change at all, and his eyelashes refused to flutter even a bit “Yes,” Kaia said. “I haven’t eaten anything since yesterday afternoon.” she couldn’t resist a glance over Eton's shoulder at the large bed dominating the room. It was empty, the sheets crumpled. “So your whore is gone,” she said before she could stop herself. She immediately regretted it as Eton's gaze sharpened, something like amusement appearing on his face. “Were you listening at the door, little one?” Kaia glared at him. “I couldn’t sleep all night because of her moans. For the fourth night in a row. And did you have to fuck her at three in the morning in our—in the bathroom we share?” Unable to look Eton in the eye any longer, she shifted her gaze to his left ear. “I’m hungry, and I need something else to wear. But that right there is not right. Because what you like in bed has nothing to do with who you are,” Eton said, watching her carefully. “But you’re implying there’s something wrong with that. You don’t sound like someone completely comfortable with who you are.”Averting her gaze, Kaia let out a small laugh. “I’m a bit kinky in bed, and I’m proud of it.”Eton put his thumb under her chin and tipped it up, bringing their faces close. “Are you, really?” he said quietly. “But why you hide your true self under a guise of a very carefree and cheerful girl when you're nothing like that? Are you wondering how can I tell. Because you see, when I first saw you, I saw a little girl who seemed to be forcing herself to be something she wasn’t.”Kaia could only look at him, her throat dry and thick. “I’m like this because I don’t have the kindest dad in the world and because my dad happens to be a dangerous man with a quick temper. And I dress that way because I want to look older and be taken ser

He wouldn’t, of course. Doing so would be a demonstration of weakness, would betray how much the sex had rattled him. He wasn’t rattled. Just annoyed with himself.
