CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX: CLASH OF STEEL

The gruesome clash raged on in the main streets and alleys, wailing and death cries rose up as fragrance accompanied by the resounding of clashing swords.

Commander Eslar lifts her sword up with a shout then slashed down on a Drokan Soldier’s head before kicking forward against his chest, making it easy for her to yank the sword out. From her rare another Drokan Soldier slashed at her, which she deflects with her shield before plunging her sword into his neck; she pulled the sword out allowing him to drop down, giving view to a teenage figure vested in green hooded cape - wielding a steel spear with curved blades at both ends.

“Such a young fellow, but yet a killer, God have mercy on these savagery.” Eslar was not prepared to hold back.

Another Drokan Soldier charged at Eslar with a slash but she eluded his attack then sliced his lower belly with a clean cut, allowing his guts to drop out.

    In the dark deep of night, the tranquil unruffled Southern town, Urania, a small town surrounded by green forestation, rose from its profound slumber when hoof beats and war cries rumbled into the red-black sky reflecting the cottages engulfed in flames. The first half of the town was devastating, children watched as their fathers fell to the sword and their mothers dragged away as they screamed and begged for mercy. On the other hand, dying men along with bruised fathers drenched in their blood could not help but watch as their children were lugged into cages mounted on carriages.     It was the late hours of the morning, yet it was cloudy and the rays of light could barely Pierce through the thick canopy the huge tress provided in the forest, the ground of the fogy forest was wet and mushy from the heavy down pour at night. Young Elroy, swarming in wet sludge staggered his way through the ground. An exhausting seven days, the Drokan soldiers hunted down those that escaped, Elroy had never witnessed such a brutal-gruesome scene, they showed no pity, cutting down even children younger than he was; pregnant women were slit open, maidens were placed on stakes - pierced from underneath through their mouths.
