She stepped out of the shuttle along with Commander Fox and his guards. The ride to the base was a quiet one which came as a surprise. Fox was always talkative with her about things that were going on, even though she'd been on desk duty for the past six months she was still a leading agent and had quite a bit of clout with the higher ups in the agency. Crazy thing was she didn't have to do desk duty if she didn't want to. All she had to do was say the right thing to the right person an she would've been given an assignment, but she didn't know if she was ready yet so desk duty was her life. They walked down the long corridors as conference rooms showed personnel in rushing about. The hustle an flow of the Intergalactic Intelligence Agency was something only certain people could get used to. Alicia knew she wasn't like most people, hence why she could work at the agency.

It had taken them some time but after a long elevator ride to the seventy-fifth floor they h

She gasped for a moment as she made an attempt to lift herself off the ground. At first glance the alley way she was in looked familiar but as she looked around for the soldiers, she had been fighting everything started to seem strange. It was almost as if someone had taken the world she once knew and replaced it with an alternate version. Although, if that were the case then why was she in the alley way she had been in before? Secondly, how in the hell did she get beaten by eight Syndicate thugs to the point she was on the ground. Her thoughts brought her to only one conclusion and it gave her the chills as she realized that it was the only possibility. She was forced into a parallel timeline by someone and the culprit took whoever they were after and replaced them with her. Problem was who was the target and why? As far as she knew the only beings capable of opening time breaches in her timeline had either been killed or imprisoned. The rules for opening breac

  • Dawn of the Gatekeepers   Bleeding Hearts Unite

They walked down several corridors before they came to an armory, Cassandra allowed Alicia to walk in first. Inside she saw dozens of soldiers preparing for their respective missions. She looked over at a few weapon racks and started for a standard plasma rifle, but then stopped. She felt a jolt in her brain unlike anything she'd ever felt before. Within an instant a flash of images streamed through her brain. Images of what must've been her counterpart using a standard plasma rifle. Alicia never did use a plasma rifle as she was trained specifically for espionage and stealth missions. Her specialty was with sniper rifles and pistols. Also, hand to hand combat was an art she was very proficient in. It was becoming clearer more and more that she and her counterpart were very different. This made her wonder even more why Demonya would switch them, if both of them were so different. Although, there had to be something similar about them besides the obvious things.

  • Dawn of the Gatekeepers   Revelation of Betrayal

Helena gasped for air as she looked around at where she and Ivy had arrived at. From the looks of it they were in an apartment. A very lavish looking apartment as she noticed the décor and expensive tech."Whose apartment is this?"Ivy turned around slightly. "Alicia's."Helena doubted that, unless Alicia's sense of style had changed when she went back and changed things. What was really throwing her off was that there were things around the apartment that caused her to question Ivy. Such as a picture of Alicia in full federation uniform with a small child who she figured was her daughter Valicia. Only problem was that in the timeline Alicia was from Valicia was a teenager. Also, Alicia was married to Jayden Alexander, she turned to Ivy who was busy looking at files on a nearby computer. As she walked up to her she noticed the file as a familiar one. It was a document containing information about Cassandra Novgrav

Bridge of 'The Unmasked' - Edge of Intergalactic Federation Territory. She stared at the report document that had been on the screen of her monitor for the past hour. Every bit of news within it was of no help to her or anyone else for that matter. For six months she had been searching for her nemesis and to come so far and now be without results, was a frustrating situation at best. Yet she still did have cards to play, they wouldn't please the people who were the sole reason for her monumental task of capturing and swapping different Alicia's from alternate time lines. In the beginning she felt good about what she had done, but ever since she had been across the table from Alicia Greyshon five years ago, she had been having mixed feelings about why she was on this crusade of death and destruction. She would normally tell herself that she was doing all this because the Collective were the true rulers of Parade

Alicia Iminz, Alicia Alexander or Greyshon, the name she'd given herself the day of the final battle of Gatekeepers War. A war that she never wanted to be a part of even though she had visions of it year's before it happened. She was a piece in game of chess that could never be won, the weapon her mother and rest of the goddesses wanted but didn't truly understand or deserve. All she had always wanted was a normal life. It's why only she and her cousin knew what really happened at that final battle. If the Goddesses or Collective knew what she did God only knew what may happen. That piece of evidence would tear down the world she knew in many ways. She knew Ivy was keeping something from her, but she trusted her and knew her well enough to know that she would tell her when she was ready. As far as Jenniri and Sabrina were concerned, she would have to locate them after she finished business in Paradea. Her home, the place she left vowing never to return to. It wa

  • Dawn of the Gatekeepers   War!!!

They had all remained silent after Alicia's projection had vanished. None of them said anything to the other, everyone just remained silent, mostly because they were all shocked by Alicia's ability to project her consciousness across realms. The goddesses were capable of doing such things, but a demi goddess, that hadn't been seen before at least by them. Jenniri was the first to break the silence, she hated quiet and tension mixed together. Especially when it involved this particular group. If Cassandra and Demonya were here it would be a serious issue."So, I take it we're all just going to sit and wait for Alicia to come back. You all realize that her reasoning for not fighting the Collective won't help or change anything, because the problem isn't Alicia it's us. The decisions we've made that brought us here is the issue at hand."A nod from Sabrina and Carmen could be seen by Jenniri, Ivy and Helena stayed silent. Jenniri shook her head

  • Dawn of the Gatekeepers   Heir Apparent

"I know you can hear me, you always could. You were the spark that would be the undoing of the Collective. Look at what has happened, worse is coming. You are the only thing that stands in her way. Please join us."Alicia stood silent next to her mother within the Goddesses council chambers as she heard Jenniri's voice echo. Joy filled her heart at her friend's voice, though it pained her that she was incapable to go to their aid. During her training that statement had been made on several occasions, somewhere along the way she had cast aside the idea that she alone could bring down the Collective. The Goddesses saw her as some sort of warrior, she never wanted any of this; many had died fighting alongside her. She had been warned by members of the council that if she chose to wage war it would cost her a great deal. Alicia gritted her teeth as she saw how right they had been. Yet, she had been forced to wage war, it wasn't something that she had been a

  • Dawn of the Gatekeepers   What Must Be Done

Alicia stood alone in her mother's private chambers as she began to mentally prepare herself for what she was about to do. Going back in time was something she hadn't done before; she had felt Ivy and Helena both go into the past and change different things. Ivy had gone back to save members of the Chosen and her mother. Helena had gone back and saved the Phoenix Order from death, somehow, she had found a way to communicate with her past self and avoid death. Alicia needed to accomplish a similar task, though she would have to change her decisions on multiple events, or maybe it was just one. As she contemplated her options, she heard a rushing wind enter the room and then fade. She turned to see a familiar face staring at her, it was her own face. She looked upon her visitor with utter confusion."Who are you?"Alicia Greyshon stood in the center of the chambers; her eyes never left Alicia Iminz's. The two of them stood there for a long tim

One Week Later......Cassandra stood anxiously in the center of Urlecit's private meeting chambers. She had been called here by the God himself for reasons not disclosed to her. In her mind she had been trying to figure out what his reasons for calling her here could've been. Her mother told her that the Gods were very wary of any offspring of the Goddesses, especially if they couldn't be controlled by them in some way.Though she didn't feel like this was a meeting about herself, it was most certainly about Alicia. She knew that her cousin was a sought-after prize that Urlecit wanted. What caused Cassandra a great amount of confusion was why? Why did the Gods fear Alicia so much that they chose to test her prowess and force an ultimatum upon her that was beyond unfair? She herself had abilities like many Celestials within Paradea, yet only Alicia was being tested to prove herself worthy.Cassandra worri

Fear gripped her insides as she was unsure of what she was supposed to do. Moments later she started to her loud explosions all around her but couldn't see where they were coming from. As the explosions grew closer and louder, she noticed that above her was a bridge. Rubble and debris had begun to appear everywhere as she walked further into what she assumed was the future. As if on cue several figures appeared crouched next to a pile of rubble underneath the bridge. She walked over to them and quickly recognized them from her vision. Her eyes scanned each of them and noticed that two of them were missing, Cassandra and the woman she had been fighting alongside were absent. This sent Alicia's mind into a frenzy of questions that all led to one conclusion. Cassandra'

Alicia briefly looked back at the red veil and found that it was no longer there. The surprise she began to feel quickly turned to anxiousness as she walked through the thick fog that swirled around her. Her eyes darted in all directions as she attempted to get an idea of her surroundings, but nothing but fog was visible. As she walked forward a bright light began to shine through the fog, she decided to go to it. The closer she got to it voices started echoing around her. Her heart jumped into her chest she heard a voice behind her call her name. Alicia turned around to see a shadowy projection of herself. She looked the same, but this version of her looked somewhat tormented."What are you?" she asked. The projection looked up at her with a look of grief. "You shouldn't be here. Why have you come?"Alicia shook her head. "I need to find out what happens in the future. This was the only way.""You d

  • Dawn of the Gatekeepers   Start of a Journey

Cassandra stood still next to Alicia who had her head bowed and eyes closed. She wasn't sure what had gotten into her cousin, Alicia didn't normally frequent taking journeys into the Third Realm and go to the heart of darkness. Even though Cassandra had been tasked with seeking out this dark presence she had felt before leaving Galaxia, she didn't think that Alicia would be so quick to follow after her. Although her cousin hadn't been the same since she had spoken about the dream or as she called it 'vision'. Cassandra knew her cousin well enough to know that she was afraid. What caused her mind to ache was that she couldn't figure out what Alicia was so shaken and terrified over. She had the powers of a Goddess yet she allowed images within a dream affect her judgement. Her pondering came to a halt as Alicia suddenly stepped forward and faced the Guardian."Are you prepared to enter beyond the Veil of Time and Shadows?" the Guardian asked in his gho

  • Dawn of the Gatekeepers   The Dream

Alicia awoke suddenly, drenched in sweat. Her mind stumbled over multiple thoughts as she tried to make sense of the dream she had. Could what she has seen truly been the future? Her mother said once that sometimes the power of the Five had a mind and will of its own, she had told her how that same power would find beings that were capable of executing the will of the Realm's. A part of her wanted nothing more but to go back to sleep and forget about the dream altogether. But she knew deep down, the dream was real, the people who fought alongside her were all real. Those creatures were real as well, it was only a matter of time until events within the realm would start to echo the event she just witnessed.Looking across her room to the arch way which led to the balcony, she noticed that it was daylight and Cassandra told her to meet her at the palace gate's when she awoke. She got up and grabbed her clothes and began to get dressed. She slipped on her an all-bl

3 Months Later.......Explosion after explosion went off around her as she opened her eyes. Before her was the scorched plains Galaxia. Fires plagued around her as she looked away from the plains and investigated the landscape further. On either side of her were young women in dark robes and armor. Each of them stood there watching something off in the distance, she noticed Cassandra among them. It was during this moment that she realized she was having some sort of vision. As she turned to see what was in the distance. Her eyes went wide as she saw thousands of alien creatures marching towards their position. First thing she thought of was how far in the future would all this take place. Second was who did that army belong to? Alicia knew that no matter what, the Collective had armies in case a war broke out. What threw off was the appearance of these soldiers. • Dawn of the Gatekeepers   Daughter of Vienna

Alicia and Cassandra walked towards the shuttle that would take them to Seledon. Its golden paint job mixed with the beaming sun upon blinded Alicia for a moment. As she looked away from the shuttle, she saw her mother following close behind her. She wondered what words of wisdom she would bestow on her before her departure. Also, the thought of what her mother wouldn't say that she really did want to say, but always chose not to. Alicia knew her mother constantly wanted to tell her something, something that she knew always weighed upon her. Though she never did say what it was, she would only give of the slightest indication that there was something she wanted to say.She stopped walking and let Cassandra go aboard the shuttle as she felt her mother's presence directly behind her. She quickly turned around to face her catching a hint of sadness in her eyes. The decision to have her go to Seledon must've been a difficult one. Alicia didn't realize it till now ju

  • Dawn of the Gatekeepers   The Fallout

The Goddesses had all taken their seats. They patiently waited for the Collective to enter the chamber. They would take their seats across the chamber as they always did. Viennashal sat impatiently, this was a day she had been trying to avoid, though in heart of hearts she'd known it would come. Her daughter was a secret she had kept from everyone for fourteen years. A secret that could and probably be the catalyst in breaking the civil law between the God's and the Goddesses of Paradea. Such an idea that this could become a reality filled her with pride and guilt. Guilt that she might be grooming her daughter to be fed to the wolves, yet if her plan worked, she would be the slaughtering the wolves. The chamber door opened and the God's silently took their seats. She keenly watched her husband take his seat amongst his brothers. Viennashal didn't hate the God's in fact, she respected some of them. Not all of them were considered tyrants, though after today that

  • Dawn of the Gatekeepers   Proclamation of War

It was indeed something to behold, it stood as a testament of authority and seat of power for the Collective. The last time she had stood within its halls she was what the Goddesses of old called a new creature. A Celestial who still possessed some form of innocence and small power among beings whose prowess she wouldn't dare challenge. There had been those who did indeed try, they had either been banished or worse. She had made sure that she would never join their numbers, and rightly so. She knew that her sisters would one need her leadership and divine wisdom to one day challenge the Collective and bring justice upon them. Maybe, just maybe that day had come.Virdenasha the leader of the Council of Goddesses and Supreme Ruler of the Four Kingdoms sat in her seat within the Hall of the Ancients. Here she had aided in the governing of Paradea and led the Goddesses for many millennia. It was here only hours ago that she had learned of Viennashal Iminz and Lord A
