Sophia has been staring at her shoe for at least over half an hour now. She feels tired from the number of clients she needed to face this night, but this is only the time she can have to talk with their big boss, Mr. Vlad. Going home is not an option because she cannot prolong this anymore.

They are not banned from having relationships as long as it does not affect their work here in the club. Other personal problems cannot also be brought into their workplace and it definitely includes school work and being depressed for something that has to do with one’s relationship problems. Work is work and you have to be the hostess mode of yourself outside your personal being. You are a hostess of the club and not whoever you are outside the club.

Relationships with the clients of the club are different issues to tackle and that is exactly why she is here. Even though there are no formal nor written rules about the hostesses being involved with anyone&mdash

Today is a Sunday which means day-off for Sophia. She already finished all the things she needed to accomplish with her class requirements. Now all she has to do is to find an alternative for her problem with Mrs. Diwa’s “niece”. She still does not know who that woman is, but she is still on the verge of losing her home because of whoever she is.Her salary from working at the Soul’s Secret is what shoulders her daily expenses; and just by computing how much it would cost for her to have her own private lawyer, she will need to cut down at least three-fourth of what she will have this month. That is almost equivalent to having a single meal every day plus all her transportation fees. She forbids herself to take anything from her medical emergency fund because she can never be sure of her health. She does not want to die early without properly helping her loved ones. She only has less than three weeks to have her solution ready. In

  • Dating The Villain   PROLOGUE: DATING THE VILLAIN

Clarissa Angela Sophia, or just Sophia, is a hopeless romantic. Even though she only has one goal in life, and that is to be successful enough to support her home orphanage, she has always loved reading. Romance just happened to be the genre she has grown to love until today. Reading and experiencing love through the books she has read helped her escape reality. She has been an orphan her whole life and was only adopted in her teens, but, sadly, even her foster parent—a lovely old woman—died too early as she left her all alone again. It was reading that helped her escape her harsh reality, and even without noticing it, it has set her standard a little bit higher than she thought she could ever have. Yes, she is a hopeless romantic who is a virgin in all aspects. A hopeless romantic who has never experienced any kind of romantic relationship with anyone in real life. Yet here she is with her set of standards that can only be reached if you are Prince Charming. Prince Charming—a man w

  • Dating The Villain   CHAPTER 1: WHEN THEIR WORLDS COLLIDED (1)

“Please, please, Sophia! I promise you that this is the last time! I promise I will submit everything by tomorrow!” How many times has it been? How many scenarios, exactly like this one right now, have happened? How many chances has she already given on top of hearing that this would not happen again? Sophia did not know what to say, so instead of using words, she simply smiled and agreed even though this whole situation was already putting their group in danger. They have to submit everything by tomorrow, first thing in the morning. Was she the only one seeing how this could go so bad if none of them takes this seriously? This whole ordeal was supposed to be their group thesis proposal. "Group" means that they were supposed to work on this together, or so she thought. She now has no choice but to shoulder everything on her own because she already knows that her classmate's "I will submit everything by tomorrow" is just too impossible to happen. Did she mention that this was suppose

“I don’t really get it, Soph! I mean, come on! How can you not have a whole ass skincare routine when your skin is always looking like you have the ASG?!” Sophia laughed at her co-worker slash vanity mirror partner, Jelly, with her nightly schedule of ranting about her skin right before work starts. “I told you so many times already, Jelly, that I don’t have the budget for it. Woman, if I have that much money to spare, why in the hell will I be using them on expensive, non-essential products?” She shook her head, still laughing. “Plus, I wouldn’t argue with that ASG you’re saying because Mr. Aaron Warner is fine as hell and we just finished our date.” “I don’t know if you’re just too direct to the point, Soph, or you’re already flexing about yourself; but dang, woman, chill!” Jelly laughed too. “And I still don’t get how you incorporate your fictional men into our conversations so easily, seriously! We’re talking about after-sex glow here and you’re talking about a man who you can on

Navier's frown deepened further as he continued reading the news. This is not what he wanted to happen, but, damn it, the Universe is really testing his patience because it keeps giving him the opposite results of what he has in mind. He almost killed a guy and things are still not in favor! He cursed out loud again but refrains from destroying anything. His sister will be the one to kill him if he destroys anything from his office ever again. He and his older sister, Nicole, are the youngest of the fifth generation of the Ortega clan. Both having the passion and skills for technology engineering, they both built their own company and soon empire named Tech Today. Everything is good between them just as long as he does not trash his very own office just because he was mad or just feels like doing so. “Sir Navier, Sir Sage is on line three,” his secretary announced after knocking. Her secretary could have just told him via intercom and maybe she already did, but he was the stubborn

  • Dating The Villain   CHAPTER 4: SAVING THE VILLAIN IN DISTRESS (1)

Sophia was officially having her first ever “what in the hell is actually happening right now” moment. She simply wanted to go on with her night and end her shift as peacefully as she always does, but how can do that when a crazy man almost jumped off the balcony?! Forget everything else, she was not about to let anyone die on her watch even if the person wanted it so badly. Not ever! She had to take a moment to breathe because her mind was already going overloaded with everything that just happened. No one can blame her for her instinct to act up as fast as it did. Now that she had a better time to process what was happening, even though the man looked like he was about to jump, there was the possibility that he was just enjoying the night that way. Yes, enjoying the night, but the man was too drunk to know better. Accidents could still happen and, by how he looked so relaxed, and as if ready to just go wherever, he could have easily been knocked down by the breeze. Again, she was n

Sophia’s full name is Clarissa Angela Sophia Diwa and it has been her name for almost six years now. It was the name given by her foster mother Mrs. Diwa, and it was the first of all the amazing things she has given her. There are no laws that forbid the foster parents to change their adoptive child’s name, and her home orphanage actually discloses that to them in the seminars they have to attend to finalize the adoption process. Though most of the couples that are usually interested in adopting do not really mind about the names and such, Mrs. Diwa took that chance and gave her new names. Yes, gave her new names instead of changing her name completely. Back in the orphanage, she simply went by her name 'Angela' as it was the name given to her by the nuns heading the institute. There were no specifics as to why her name was Angela, but she was never the curious one to know if there were any reasons for her name or not. She was Angela because she was Angela, well, until Mrs. Diwa add

  • Dating The Villain   CHAPTER 6: SAVING THE VILLAIN IN DISTRESS (3)

Navier, for the first time in years, was sure that he had a dream—a dream about Angela. Angela is their childhood friend. He, Angela, his sister Nicole, and Sage have been together ever since they were kids. Even though Nicole and Sage are older by a few years, they really do not have any other choice but to stay together with them. Sage is the son of their parents’ longtime head of security, and Angela is the daughter of their close neighbor. All of them were inseparable since they reached puberty, and that was exactly why he has been fixated on his “love” for her. She was the first girl in his life and the one that mattered most. He has always pictured her beside him even when they grow up to be adults. He wanted to make sure that she would end up with him no matter what. He had been so fixated on her that he did not see other women the same way. It was toxic. He was toxic. He did not know how to properly "love" her. He showed his "loved" by scaring every man in her life, to mak

“Did you know about this?” Nicole did not mean to use her business voice, but she already did. Clearing her throat, she hopes she will not sound as brute as she did the first time. “Did you know about Navier and Miss Sophia Diwa?”Sage chuckles, clearly having the that-is-what-I-thought look when she corrected her own tone. “What exactly did you find out about them?”She lets herself inside his home—yes, she drove almost thirty minutes just to invade this man’s privacy and trespass his penthouse like the thug she is just to confirm what she found out. It is also a yes that she trusts her brother in telling the truth, but she still needs assurance and confirmation; especially from this very man. She immediately made herself comfortable on his soft sofa and sighed in satisfaction. She has done this a million times now that it feels more like a muscle memory. She did not know that her feet hurt from driving unt

Navier is feeling very good that all his research did a great job with his and Sophia’s first date. Yes, he really did a lot of research because he does not want to mess their first day. He was thinking that it would be a great move for him to actually know things on his own first and then have Sophia experience it with him. It was very fulfilling to him to say the least. He never really pictured himself enjoying meeting new people; in fact, he hated meeting other people before and that was his main reason for just letting his sister Nicole do all the outside of the country work and meetings. But today was a little different given that he met Sophia’s family. That was the first thing that popped up as results to his research. Dating someone does not necessarily mean that they would just involve the couple. Some article said that it would be better to “date officially” and by official it really means having your loved ones to know t

Sophia could not believe how smooth Navier is. He handled their situation by answering all of the orphanage’s sisters with so much ease and naturality in him. He is just basically stating facts yet even she felt like they have known each other for so long. The only lie that Navier made is that he mentioned that they met a year ago, but the rest is pure facts and their actual reality. He told them how they met at her workplace; she was a hostess in the Soul’s Secret and how she took care of him when he was drunk. He effortlessly gave them the truth and cut off more questions into saying that the rest was history and that this is their first day as an official couple. The sisters were just saying how happy they are that she thought to tell them about him first. They said that they feel special and they are glad to be a part of this chapter of her life. She actually expected that she would feel guilty or something like, but nothing came. After al

When Navier said that he paid—he literally paid for whatever Sophia and Jelly was having, and he almost meant that he paid his side of their deal. She was so stunned that she only finally realized what was happening when she got in Navier’s car and Jelly was waving one last time before going her way.“W-What…?” She blinks a couple of times.Navier chuckles and pulls her own seat belt to buckle it in for her. “Did it finally sink into you that you’re with me now?”She is really back from reality because she finally had her strength to slap Navier’s arm.“Aw! What was that for?!”She was flustered because he looked really hurt, but it is not time for her to regret her actions. “How did you even know I was in there at that exact café? In fact, how do you know where I was in the first place, Navier?!”Instead of just answering her, he shows her hi

Breathing deeply, Sophia said the nth “thank you” to Miss Minchin that already made the sweet librarian laugh and told her that one more “thank you” and she will be banned in the library for the rest of her stay in the university. That just finally made her laugh, too.It took her a hot moment to sink everything in her and understand that she was already having a mental breakdown and it was also Miss Minchin who helped her calm down. Now, they are outside the university having ice creams and she did not attend her classes anymore as per the librarian’s order. She was very reluctant at first, but she showed her an announcement that there is an emergency university-wide meeting for all the professors.Finishing her ice cream, Miss Minchin stands up and dusts all the cone crumbs off her skirt. “Are you feeling better now, sweetheart?”“Yes, miss. Thank—” She remembers what she has been warned

CHAPTER 55: END OF BOOK 1SOPHIA’S POVLast night was one of the best sleeps I had and I know that it had something to do with Navier. Yes, Navier slept beside me because I insisted that it was too late for him to drive back home. He could easily call his driver to fetch him and I know he can perfectly do just that, but I am really glad that he did not. He stayed in and wore one of the largest shirts that I had so he could change.I remembered that we slept in the position where he was pillowed on my chest and as he hugged me as if making sure I would not leave, but I woke up in the opposite position because I was the one who was in his position and he was in mine.Leaving his side as I make sure that he would not wake up brings me back the memories that I had as our first moment together. The moment he got drunk at the club where I was working and that I had to stay by his side to somehow take

NAVIER’S POVI am evil for having this plan, but I will not apologize for it.Not understanding myself for suddenly being too attracted to Sophia right now; and by attracted, I really mean that I just want to kiss her as many times I please and have on top of me for the remaining hours of the night. I should really clean my mind right now because I have been thinking about her this way since we got here, and now we just finished having dinner. Sophia is back in the kitchen preparing our coffee and as soon as comes back, I know that I will execute my evil plan—I plan to seduce her.I can easily ask her and have her consent, but I am not sure if she wants it herself. I do not want to pressure her into doing something I only asked. This is the best thing I can think of to ensure that she would want to do something with me too.Good thing for the both of us, I am great at alluring people. My sister Nicole takes pride in this part bec
