CHAPTER ONE: WHERE DO WE START? (1)

♣ ♣ ♣ ♣ ♣ ♣ ♣ ♣ ♣ ♣

SOPHIA’S POINT OF VIEW

I did not realize that I fell asleep again until I woke up again. This time, I felt so much better and all the remaining effects of whatever they made me drink seems to have vanished completely. My head does not hurt nor I do not feel anything weird everywhere else. It just took me a moment to realize that someone is playing with my hair… and that someone is none other Navier.

I remembered asking him if he could lie down with me and I forgot what happened next when he embraced me, probably because I fell asleep as soon as he did.

Do I feel angry that I was drugged? As much as I want to feel angry, there really is no reason for me to feel that way immediately without knowing what Navier has to say first. I believe that he would not do it without any reason. My stand on not consuming anything in his clan’s mansion is still here and, in fact, even if we are already here in a restaurant not too far away, I am still hesitant to eat. Again, I am not angry about what happened, but I cannot bring myself to calm down even just for a little; and make my body understand that I will not be drugged again.

Will I be willing to risk my safety if it means I can be with the man I know I love? The answer is an immediate yes, no second thoughts needed. This is not me saying that I want to get hurt or anything like that. This is not me saying that it will be okay if something happens to us. This is not me saying that I am crazy enough to simply jump into danger for Navier. This is me simply saying that I know the risks loving Navier has and I am willing to consider t

I had to smile, those were such innocent times where Nicole and I did not know anything about the other side of the family affairs.I am right.

Before, we did not know what to call them instead of that. Colleagues. The word felt out of place for the aura of the whole situation, but it was all what we had. Mome’s colleagues that we never saw again after that sing meeting in the Sy Mansion. I can clearly recall what our mom told me then, we will only be able to meet them at the right time. CHAPTER SEVEN: ALL FOR YOU (1) ♤ ♤ ♤ ♤ ♤ ♤ ♤ ♤ ♤ ♤ SOPHIA’S POINT OF VIEW It has been almost a week since Navier brought me to the Sy Mansion, toured me around, and introduced his people to me; not to mention everything else that happened that neither Navier nor I wanted to experience in my first time being there. It has been a week and it is as if I did not just meet the other side of my boyfriend. By saying I met his other side, I realized now that the more appropriate word is “having a glimpse of who Navier is outside his normal corporate world”. If I am being completely honest, the week that has easily gone by was not enough for me to sink everything in. It sounded so simple, I know, that I just have to accept that Navier, the man that I love, is not completely th

CHAPTER EIGHT: ALL FOR YOU (2) ♤ ♤ ♤ ♤ ♤ ♤ ♤ ♤ ♤ ♤ SOPHIA’S POINT OF VIEW There was this passage from a book I once read and, opposed to what I usually read which are romance novels, this book was all about the unrealistic expectations and views on love and to our romantic partners. Standards built from fantasies that can actually be harmful. I do not doubt it. Expectations can bring disappointments. Disappointments can be harmful if not communicated well enough. The passage, though not as exact, goes like this, “you cannot expect for your loved one to always be equal to what you can give. The scale is not fifty-fifty all the time, in fact, it is likely more imbalanced most of the time.

CHAPTER NINE: ALL FOR YOU (3) ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ NICOLE’S POINT OF VIEW Should I ask for Navier to drive for me? Definitely. Should I call for Sophia first? Definitely. Should I… No. Just the mere thought of Sage is definitely an instant “no”. There is just too much that I want—need—to do that I remained immobile in my seat, just staring at my office’s ceiling. In my defense, I just got out of a very long meeting which almost killed me or maybe almost made me kill someone. But that is still just a lame excuse. I should ge

Today is a Sunday which means day-off for Sophia. She already finished all the things she needed to accomplish with her class requirements. Now all she has to do is to find an alternative for her problem with Mrs. Diwa’s “niece”. She still does not know who that woman is, but she is still on the verge of losing her home because of whoever she is.Her salary from working at the Soul’s Secret is what shoulders her daily expenses; and just by computing how much it would cost for her to have her own private lawyer, she will need to cut down at least three-fourth of what she will have this month. That is almost equivalent to having a single meal every day plus all her transportation fees. She forbids herself to take anything from her medical emergency fund because she can never be sure of her health. She does not want to die early without properly helping her loved ones. She only has less than three weeks to have her solution ready. In

Sophia has been staring at her shoe for at least over half an hour now. She feels tired from the number of clients she needed to face this night, but this is only the time she can have to talk with their big boss, Mr. Vlad. Going home is not an option because she cannot prolong this anymore. They are not banned from having relationships as long as it does not affect their work here in the club. Other personal problems cannot also be brought into their workplace and it definitely includes school work and being depressed for something that has to do with one’s relationship problems. Work is work and you have to be the hostess mode of yourself outside your personal being. You are a hostess of the club and not whoever you are outside the club.Relationships with the clients of the club are different issues to tackle and that is exactly why she is here. Even though there are no formal nor written rules about the hostesses being involved with anyone&mdash

“Did you know about this?” Nicole did not mean to use her business voice, but she already did. Clearing her throat, she hopes she will not sound as brute as she did the first time. “Did you know about Navier and Miss Sophia Diwa?”Sage chuckles, clearly having the that-is-what-I-thought look when she corrected her own tone. “What exactly did you find out about them?”She lets herself inside his home—yes, she drove almost thirty minutes just to invade this man’s privacy and trespass his penthouse like the thug she is just to confirm what she found out. It is also a yes that she trusts her brother in telling the truth, but she still needs assurance and confirmation; especially from this very man. She immediately made herself comfortable on his soft sofa and sighed in satisfaction. She has done this a million times now that it feels more like a muscle memory. She did not know that her feet hurt from driving unt

Navier is feeling very good that all his research did a great job with his and Sophia’s first date. Yes, he really did a lot of research because he does not want to mess their first day. He was thinking that it would be a great move for him to actually know things on his own first and then have Sophia experience it with him. It was very fulfilling to him to say the least. He never really pictured himself enjoying meeting new people; in fact, he hated meeting other people before and that was his main reason for just letting his sister Nicole do all the outside of the country work and meetings. But today was a little different given that he met Sophia’s family. That was the first thing that popped up as results to his research. Dating someone does not necessarily mean that they would just involve the couple. Some article said that it would be better to “date officially” and by official it really means having your loved ones to know t

Sophia could not believe how smooth Navier is. He handled their situation by answering all of the orphanage’s sisters with so much ease and naturality in him. He is just basically stating facts yet even she felt like they have known each other for so long. The only lie that Navier made is that he mentioned that they met a year ago, but the rest is pure facts and their actual reality. He told them how they met at her workplace; she was a hostess in the Soul’s Secret and how she took care of him when he was drunk. He effortlessly gave them the truth and cut off more questions into saying that the rest was history and that this is their first day as an official couple. The sisters were just saying how happy they are that she thought to tell them about him first. They said that they feel special and they are glad to be a part of this chapter of her life. She actually expected that she would feel guilty or something like, but nothing came. After al

When Navier said that he paid—he literally paid for whatever Sophia and Jelly was having, and he almost meant that he paid his side of their deal. She was so stunned that she only finally realized what was happening when she got in Navier’s car and Jelly was waving one last time before going her way.“W-What…?” She blinks a couple of times.Navier chuckles and pulls her own seat belt to buckle it in for her. “Did it finally sink into you that you’re with me now?”She is really back from reality because she finally had her strength to slap Navier’s arm.“Aw! What was that for?!”She was flustered because he looked really hurt, but it is not time for her to regret her actions. “How did you even know I was in there at that exact café? In fact, how do you know where I was in the first place, Navier?!”Instead of just answering her, he shows her hi

Breathing deeply, Sophia said the nth “thank you” to Miss Minchin that already made the sweet librarian laugh and told her that one more “thank you” and she will be banned in the library for the rest of her stay in the university. That just finally made her laugh, too.It took her a hot moment to sink everything in her and understand that she was already having a mental breakdown and it was also Miss Minchin who helped her calm down. Now, they are outside the university having ice creams and she did not attend her classes anymore as per the librarian’s order. She was very reluctant at first, but she showed her an announcement that there is an emergency university-wide meeting for all the professors.Finishing her ice cream, Miss Minchin stands up and dusts all the cone crumbs off her skirt. “Are you feeling better now, sweetheart?”“Yes, miss. Thank—” She remembers what she has been warned

CHAPTER 55: END OF BOOK 1SOPHIA’S POVLast night was one of the best sleeps I had and I know that it had something to do with Navier. Yes, Navier slept beside me because I insisted that it was too late for him to drive back home. He could easily call his driver to fetch him and I know he can perfectly do just that, but I am really glad that he did not. He stayed in and wore one of the largest shirts that I had so he could change.I remembered that we slept in the position where he was pillowed on my chest and as he hugged me as if making sure I would not leave, but I woke up in the opposite position because I was the one who was in his position and he was in mine.Leaving his side as I make sure that he would not wake up brings me back the memories that I had as our first moment together. The moment he got drunk at the club where I was working and that I had to stay by his side to somehow take

NAVIER’S POVI am evil for having this plan, but I will not apologize for it.Not understanding myself for suddenly being too attracted to Sophia right now; and by attracted, I really mean that I just want to kiss her as many times I please and have on top of me for the remaining hours of the night. I should really clean my mind right now because I have been thinking about her this way since we got here, and now we just finished having dinner. Sophia is back in the kitchen preparing our coffee and as soon as comes back, I know that I will execute my evil plan—I plan to seduce her.I can easily ask her and have her consent, but I am not sure if she wants it herself. I do not want to pressure her into doing something I only asked. This is the best thing I can think of to ensure that she would want to do something with me too.Good thing for the both of us, I am great at alluring people. My sister Nicole takes pride in this part bec
