"Enough, All of you," Alpha Allen thundered. "What in the name of the goddess is happening here? Who or what causing the commotion in my house?!" Alpha Allen addressed us, his voice tinged with annoyance. He walked towards the table, my eyes met his for a quick second but I guess I was hard to notice me with all the makeup on my face.

"I'm sorry father, it's just this..." Lucas began his taunt but he was cut short too soon.

"Arghhhh... cut it out Lucas and have your damn seat." Alpha Allen cautioned him.

Lucas, embarrassed, looked at our direction, a fleeting anger shown on his face.

"I've called you all here to have a nice meal as a family. The world knows the conflict hovering in this family and I tell you all, I'm not ready to have my legacy go down the drain because of you dumbos"

"I wonder what we'd call the father of dumbos!" Ares muttered and I found myself playfully hitting his leg.

"What was that Ares? Got something to say to us?" Alpha Allen asked, looking at our direction

Ares’ answer came in the form of a cold silence that screamed if you don’t get me what I want, I have no reason to help you either."Not to worry, I'll do it." I finally broke the silence as we pulled up to the house but he still didn’t say a word to me. As I lay on my bed, I couldn't help but think about the agreement I had made, and how daunting it seemed. Why did I have to be the one to do it? Couldn't he take care of it himself? My mind wandered back to the previous night, and how Ares’ behavior had taken a drastic turn. From sweet and endearing to bossy and demanding. I shook my head, finding it almost laughable because it seemed everyone who had Allen blood in them had this feature embedded in them."There's no time to waste, Valerie. You've agreed, no turning back," Ares’ words from last night echoed in my mind and I knew whatever this seal was, it was important. My thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door. I sighed, it was probably one of the maids again."Are you st

Ares' POV Every part of me wanted to be with Valerie but instead I found myself reluctantly trailing behind the escort, hijacked by a meeting I'd rather not attend. The grand corridor seemed to stretch on forever, finally leading us to a secluded room heavy with the pungent smell of cigar smoke. "Mr. Dante," I greeted the elderly man seated in a lavish gold and grey fur-adorned chair, his expression as stern as the atmosphere. My attempt at a warm smile fell flat, and I sensed a tension that went beyond mere business. "I intend to withdraw from our partnership, Mr. Ares," he announced, his voice firm but laced with a hint of hesitation. I feigned neutrality, though my instincts screamed that my father's influence was at play. "May I inquire as to why, Mr. Dante?" I asked, my hands spread in a gesture of curiosity. The old man puffed on his cigar, his eyes narrowing as he exhaled. "It's my prerogative, Mr. Ares. I have every right to pull out. Don't I?" "It's a

I had walked into Daniel's house, a house which I once lived in. I had many dreams for me and Daniel in this same house, a house I imagined to have our children in, a house I imagined to have a happy home like every normal female wolf out there but I guess all that was cut short now. It was no longer possible with him."Shall we go in now?" One of the guard's voices distracted my thoughts. I had forgotten all about going in as I looked over the whole building.Just as I was about to speak, a man approached us."You're Miss Valerie, right?" He asked politely, and I nodded in response. He must be a new recruit. It made me wonder what Daniel did to people that worked here before."Mr Daniel is waiting." He said, sending a smile at me as we all walked in but I immediately signaled for the guards to stay out. Daniel wouldn't dare hurt me inside, I was no longer that weak and naive woman he was married to.As I and the middle aged man entered, my eyes caught the changes in the home I once l

I never imagined someone so independent, so determined to survive on his own without his parents' wealth to depend on. Ares was different, I could tell as I looked up at the strong, tall building standing right in front of me. He had established such a magnificent image on his own.I wonder how much effort he must have put into this company all by himself. I really wouldn't be impressed if his father didn't help him out, not even adding a penny to establish his company. As I walked all the way to his office with his secretary's assistance. I was intrigued by all that I saw. Very hardworking, busy employers he had. They almost didn't notice me walking into the office with how busy they were. Or was Ares just a cruel boss who loads them all with work?He could be, with the way he talks to me. Asking me if I was really keen on exacting my revenge on Daniel or not and with the way he asked me to come out of my room so he could teach me how to shoot a gun. Who exactly was l training to kil

"My answer remains the same. No!" his response shocked me"No?""We will find another way. And that's final Valerie."This is unbelievable! Ares was unbelievableI sat there on the passenger's seat, completely worthless to control his 'another way' of securing a chance of a perfect revenge.I wanted him to see things on my side. It was all too fast and absurd to have his babies but didn't he see it as a good thing too. Wasn't he planning to have kids one day? At his age, I've never seen him around any lady since we met.And I was quite starting to think if he wasn't straight. It was absurd the way I thought about it too, to have his baby. But I had no other option but this. And what was his option? To find an IVF donor. Shocking this was, it's not a sperm donor for me, but an egg donor for him. He didn't want me to get pregnant for a random wolf because I still had a future ahead of me.We drove around the pack territory, walking into several centres and it was like fate was on my sid

"Everything about this place icks of incompetence." Ares grumbled as he looked over the window, watching the rain pour down heavily. It seem to have angered him so much that he yanks the curtains closed."We should have left when I said so." He complained. Was he blaming me now? The nerve!"Under this heavy rain? You certainly don't want to last long, do you?""And what does that mean?" He asked and looking at his face, he was agitated. I thought wisely to choose my words carefully."You wouldn't be able to drive under this heavy rain, Mr Ares. We'd just get into an accident or something before we get to our destination." I said boldlyAres scoffed. "An accident? If that was the case then I would have died a long time ago." He said, taking out his phone from his pocket as he sat at the edge of the bed. What did he even mean by that?I laid down my handbag by the headboard of the bed, taking out my phone. It was late in the evening, I needed to shower even though the weather was a bit

He's been silent for days now, silent about what had happened between us at the donor centre. We got intimate, didn't that mean anything to him? Was I being all greedy now? Though I had made it clear that it was all for the good of the revenge plan, I knew I wanted more than that. I wanted him."Hello???" Ares waved his hands across my face, handing me the air pistol."My turn?"He nodded. As I took the weapon from him, going right in front of the target board. I shot at it but it wasn't as good as the last time."Shoot again!" Ares ordered. I shot again as instructed but still I failed to hit the point. I gave up, I probably wasn't in the mood to do this."What's wrong with you?" He asked, almost concerned. I furrowed my brows. Of course you know what's wrong with me, it's you, dumbo!"Nothing. I just need to rest, maybe." I answered him calmly, more like I wasn't interested in talking to him because I was upset but he didn't notice that."I'm still waiting for my father to request

I was going to say something when I saw Val's body tense up. Following her gaze, I immediately knew why. Instinctively, I pulled her close, holding her waist and looking into her eyes more intimately than I did on the night we had sex. "I'm here, don't be scared." I said, and immediately it sounded so cheesy to me. Did it just come out of my mouth? A lot has really been happening to me since that sex with her, I couldn't explain it. "Hey Uncle... and his lady or perhaps, escort." Daniel said, approaching us where we stood. Did he just refer to Valerie as an escort? I clenched my fist. Ares, we are in public, calm down. "Ignore him." Valerie whispered. "Still reeled that I'm with your ex wife, huh? You don't have to be. I'll take better care of her." I paused and scoffed. "Hold on, it's not like you even took care of her but rather you stole from her and tried to kill her and now, look at you, spending it all on your next victim." "What the hell?" The lady beside him excla

ValerieAs I turned over, I was greeted by the sight of Ares lying beside me, still asleep. His face was peaceful, a slight smile tugging at the corners of his lips, as if he were reliving the same cherished memories in his dreams. I reached out, gently brushing a strand of hair from his forehead, my heart swelling with love for this incredible man who had brought so much joy into my life.Watching him sleep, I marveled at how serene he looked, so different from the powerful, driven man he was when awake. His vulnerability in these quiet moments made me love him even more. I leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead, my lips lingering for a moment as I whispered, "I love you, Ares."The warmth of his skin, the rhythm of his steady breathing, and the tranquility of the moment wrapped around me like a comforting embrace. I nestled closer, feeling his presence soothe every part of me. In this cocoon of love, I knew that whatever challenges lay ahead, we would face them together. Fo

Ares povAfter the meeting, I felt a weight lift off my shoulders. The discussions had gone well, and the merger seemed to be on solid ground. As I made my way back to the car, I decided to take a detour. There was a little candy floss shop on the way home that Valerie had mentioned once, her eyes lighting up with childlike excitement. I knew she had a sweet tooth, and I wanted to surprise her.The shop was quaint, tucked away on a quiet street, its bright neon sign flickering against the encroaching dusk. I parked and walked up to the counter where a middle-aged man, probably the owner, was busy spinning the sugary treat.“Evening,” he greeted, his voice warm and welcoming. “What can I get for you?”“Evening,” I replied, smiling. “I’ll take a couple of those candy flosses.”“Got a sweet tooth, huh?” he chuckled, expertly twirling the pink cotton candy onto a stick.I laughed, shaking my head. “Not exactly. These are for my wife.”The man’s eyes twinkled with amusement. “Ah, a treat f

Ares povI settled into the plush chair at the long, polished mahogany table, set on the terrace of one of the city’s most exclusive hotels. The setting was exquisite, with manicured gardens stretching out before me, vibrant flowers in full bloom, and the gentle sound of a nearby fountain creating a soothing backdrop. The open-air venue was perfect for a high-stakes business meeting, combining luxury and serenity. Heads of state and influential business leaders sat around the table, the air buzzing with animated discussions about mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.Dressed in a finely tailored suit that spoke of understated elegance, I leaned forward, listening intently as a CEO detailed a proposal for a new merger. My input was valuable, and I commanded attention and respect as I shared my insights. The conversation was rich with technical jargon and financial projections, but I was in my element. The terrace buzzed with activity as I settled into my seat, the aroma of

ValerieBut the day wasn’t over yet. “We’re not heading home,” I informed the driver and bodyguards, noticing their looks of amusement. “We’re going to an orphanage.”The driver raised an eyebrow but said nothing, simply adjusting our route. The bodyguards exchanged curious glances but kept their questions to themselves. As we drove, I watched the cityscape change from bustling streets to quieter, more residential areas. Eventually, we arrived at a large, well-maintained building surrounded by greenery. The orphanage was nestled in a serene neighborhood, the kind of place that exuded a sense of calm and care. The grounds were clean, with a neatly trimmed lawn and colorful flowers lining the walkway to the entrance. The building itself was painted a soft, welcoming yellow, with large windows that let in plenty of light.I stepped out of the car, taking a moment to appreciate the peaceful surroundings. The driver and bodyguards followed, their expressions a mix of curiosity and respect.

Valerie's povAs the morning sun began to filter through the curtains, I felt the warmth of Ares beside me. His kiss stirred me awake, a gentle promise of all the things to come. Opening my eyes, I found him gazing at me, his eyes soft and full of affection. With a playful smile, I grabbed his arm and pulled him back into bed, kissing him softly and teasing him with light, fleeting touches of my lips."Ares," I whispered against his mouth, "I wanna go out today. Please?"His lips curved into a smile, and he kissed me back, deeper this time, a silent conversation passing between us. For a moment, I thought I had won. But then he pulled back, shaking his head slightly, a firm but gentle refusal in his eyes."No, Valerie," he said, his voice steady.I pouted, giving him my best pleading look. "Please, Ares? I'm going stir-crazy in here. I need to get out."He sighed, his resolve wavering. "Valerie, it's not safe. You know that."I could see the concern in his eyes, but I was determined.

Ares"Ares, it's Dr. Whitman," came the calm voice on the other end. "I wanted to let you know that Valerie and the baby are doing great. Her latest tests came back normal, and there's no need for concern."I exhaled a sigh of relief, gratitude washing over me. "Thank you, Doctor. I appreciate you keeping us updated."After ending the call, I leaned back in my chair, a smile spreading across my face. "Valerie and the baby are fine," I announced to Steve, who had been watching me with concern."That's great news," he said, grinning. "You deserve some good news."I nodded, feeling a sense of peace. "Yeah, we do."The rest of the day seemed to fly by. The news from the doctor had lifted a weight off my shoulders, and I tackled my work with renewed energy and focus. By the time the evening rolled around, I felt a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. As I drove home, I thought about the journey Valerie and I had been on. We had faced so many challenges, but we had come out stronger on

Ares pov The morning light streamed through the windows of my office, casting a warm glow over the room. I was sitting behind my desk, reviewing the latest sales reports with my beta, Steve. The numbers were impressive, and despite everything that had been happening, the company's performance had been stellar."These figures are fantastic," I said, glancing up at Steve, who was leaning against the edge of my desk. "Our new marketing strategy is really paying off."Steve nodded, a satisfied smile on his face. "Yeah, the team did a great job. The social media campaign alone brought in a 20% increase in customer engagement."I flipped through a few more pages, noting the uptick in sales across various regions. "And our expansion into the European market is finally showing returns. This is better than we projected.""Definitely," Steve agreed. "The partnership with those local influencers really gave us a boost. It's all about getting the right people to promote the brand."I leaned back

Ares povWhen she woke again, the room was dimly lit by the soft glow of the evening sun. I had stayed by her side the entire time, my thoughts a constant whirlwind of plans and promises. As Valerie stirred, I gently brushed a stray strand of hair from her face, my heart swelling with love and determination."How are you feeling?" I asked softly, my voice barely above a whisper. She blinked, her eyes slowly focusing on me. "Better," she replied, a small smile playing on her lips. "Thank you for staying with me.""There's nowhere else I'd rather be," I said, squeezing her hand. "Are you hungry? I can make you something to eat."She shook her head, her expression softening. "Just having you here is enough. But maybe some tea would be nice."I nodded and rose from my seat, carefully making my way to the kitchen. As I prepared the tea, my mind wandered back to the doctor’s instructions. I was determined to follow them to the letter, ensuring Valerie and our baby stayed safe and healthy.R

I hope he’s found happiness.”“We’ll make sure our child knows nothing but love and happiness,” I said firmly. “They’ll grow up in a home filled with love and security.”She looked at me, tears brimming in her eyes. “I love you so much, Ares,” she whispered.“I love you too,” I replied, my voice thick with emotion. “More than anything in this world.”We sat in silence for a while, wrapped in each other’s arms.
