EPISODE 3: TALES BY MOONLIGHT

Anna and Nova met me on my way back to the dorm, Nova's brother Orion nowhere in sight. "Hey, how was the tour?" I asked, avoiding mention of my confrontation with Orion.

"Good, I had fun," Nova replied, expressing her gratitude to Anna for her hospitality.

As we entered the room, I felt an urge to ask Nova about her and her brother's supernatural nature. "Please tell me, vampire or werewolf?" I asked, curiosity getting the better of me.

Nova smiled, "I'm a vampire, and my brother is a werewolf."

I smiled, taking a seat on my bed. "Nice! I didn't know."

Anna returned from the bathroom, "Aww, Nova's gone?" She felt saddened by her leaving.

"Yeah, she left," I replied, "But we'll see her again tomorrow."

The next day, I woke up feeling edgy, dehydrated, and strangely hormonal. Anna was already up, dressed, and leaving for class. "Good morning, Freya! See you in class," she said, rushing out the door.

I arrived at class, finding Anna seated next to Nova. They were engrossed in conversation, and I sat behind them, greeting Nova when she turned around.

After class, Anna left in a hurry, leaving Nova and me confused. "Is it just me, or is Anna behaving weird?" I asked Nova.

Nova concurred, and we decided to follow Anna, concerned about her strange behavior. We tracked her to a dark club, where she worked as a waitress. I was surprised, and Nova ordered us drinks, which Anna herself delivered.

Anna felt ashamed, and we confronted her about keeping her job a secret. She explained that she didn't want us to make fun of her. We apologized, and Anna returned to work, the lights coming on as we stayed for a while.

The club patrons were rowdy, and some men harassed the waitresses. One man was particularly rude, and I intervened, breaking a bottle on his head. The club patrons gasped, and Anna rushed over, concerned.

Anna's eyes widened in surprise, "Freya, what have you done?!"

I stood my ground, "He was being a jerk, and I wasn't going to sit there and watch him harass the waitresses."

The man I had intervened against was holding his head, moaning in pain. His friends glared at me, but they didn't dare approach.

Anna sighed, "Let's get out of here before things get worse."

Nova nodded in agreement, and we left the club, leaving behind the chaos and confusion.

As we walked back to school, Anna turned to me, "Freya, I know you were trying to help, but you can't just go around breaking bottles on people's heads. That's not how we handle things."

I shrugged, "I know, but I couldn't just sit there and do nothing."

Nova spoke up, "Actually, Freya, you did what needed to be done. Those guys were asking for it."

Anna rolled her eyes, "Nova, you're not helping."

I smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Nova. "Thanks, Nova. I appreciate it."

We continued walking, the tension between us dissipating. As we approached the school gates, Anna turned to us, "You know, I think I need to tell you guys something."

Nova and I exchanged a curious glance, "What is it?" I asked.

Anna hesitated, "It's about my job at the club... there's something I haven't told you."

Anna hesitated, "It's about my job at the club... there's something I haven't told you."

Nova and I exchanged a curious glance, "What is it?" I asked.

Anna took a deep breath, "I'm not just a waitress. I'm also... a guardian."

Nova's eyes widened, "A guardian? What do you mean?"

Anna's eyes scanned the surrounding area, ensuring we were out of earshot. "I'm a guardian of the supernatural community. I protect them from humans who would harm them."

I felt a surge of surprise, "That's incredible! Why didn't you tell us?"

Anna's expression turned serious, "Because it's dangerous. And I didn't want to put you guys in harm's way."

Nova's eyes sparkled with excitement, "This is amazing! We had no idea."

I nodded in agreement, "Yeah, we're your friends, Anna. We would have supported you no matter what."

Anna smiled, a look of relief washing over her face. "Thanks, guys. That means a lot to me."

As we continued walking, I realized that there was more to Anna than meets the eye. She was strong, brave, and loyal. And I was grateful to have her as a friend.

As we walked, Nova asked Anna more questions about her role as a guardian. Anna explained that she worked with a secret organization dedicated to protecting supernatural creatures from human threats.

I listened intently, fascinated by this new world that existed alongside our own. "That's incredible," I said. "I had no idea such a world existed."

Anna smiled. "Most humans don't. And that's how we prefer it. Less risk of exposure that way."

Nova's eyes sparkled with excitement. "This is amazing! Can you take us to meet the others?"

Anna hesitated. "I don't know... it's not exactly safe for humans."

I placed a hand on her arm. "We're your friends, Anna. We would never betray your trust."

Anna looked at me, then at Nova. Finally, she nodded. "Okay. But you have to promise to be careful."

We promised, and Anna led us to a hidden entrance beneath the school. We descended into a secret underground bunker, where we met the rest of the guardians.

They welcomed us warmly, and Anna introduced us to the leader, a wise and powerful woman named Sophia.

Sophia smiled at us. "Welcome, Freya and Nova. We've heard a lot about you."

I felt a sense of wonder and excitement. I had never imagined that my life would take such a dramatic turn.

Sophia's eyes seemed to see right through me, as if she knew my very thoughts. "We've been watching you, Freya. You have a special gift, one that could be very useful to our cause."

I felt a shiver run down my spine. "What do you mean?"

Sophia smiled. "You have the ability to sense supernatural energies. It's a rare gift, and one that could help us in our mission to protect the supernatural community."

Nova's eyes widened. "That's amazing! Freya, you're like a superhero!"

I laughed, feeling a sense of excitement and trepidation. "I don't know about that, but I'm willing to learn."

Sophia nodded. "Good. We'll train you, teach you how to harness your power. And together, we'll make a difference."

As I left the bunker with Anna and Nova, I felt a sense of purpose, a sense of belonging. I knew that my life was about to change in ways I never could have imagined.

But little did I know, danger lurked in the shadows, waiting to strike. And I was about to find myself in the middle of a supernatural war.
