I opened my eyes slowly, blinking a few times. I flexed my fingers, feeling the plush cushions of the sofa.

“Brody, she’s awake,” Callie whispered.

I turned my head and smiled weakly at Broke as he kneeled at my side. He returned the smile, before sighing heavily and pushing his fingers through his hair.

“What happened?” I questioned.

I remember finding Brody, feeling weak, and then passing out. I tried reaching Allie, I can still sense her and hear her softly snoring. Whatever we did must have taken it out of her.

“You healed me, Alora.” He answered. “Did you know you had healing powers?”

I raised my brows at him.

“No, I didn’t know I had any powers. There hasn’t ever been a hybrid before, so who knows what else I could have.” I shrugged. “My parents told me I could possess some powers, but it was never certain.”

I grabbed hold of the back of the sofa and pulled myself up. I swung my legs off the sofa and slouched back into the seat.
