~ COLTON ~The way Sierra kissed him was magnetic. It was almost impossible to think that she was inexperienced in this area. She was such a natural, the way her soft lips coax and tangle with his, it was like they were moving to some unknown rhythm. Colton’s chest was burning with a fire he couldn’t explain. Kissing a girl was not a new experience for him. To be honest, he was never interested in kissing. It was only a prelude to the main course and Colton always went for the main course. This time, however, things were different. It felt so nice to kiss her lips and touch her face, rake her hair, and run his fingers on her back. Each and every moment was a revelation to be savored and for the first time ever, Colton didn’t want to rush things. There was much to be enjoyed and explored still. So, that was exactly what he did. Gently, he put a hand on her face and pulled her closer. Sierra let out a gasp and Colton used the momentum to push his tongue inside. He tasted every corner o
~ SIERRA ~“Where the hell are you?! Get your ass back home right now or your dad’s gonna kill us both!” Rosie was screaming at the top of her lungs, acting like a crazy mom. The urgency in her voice spread panic across Sierra’s face, she could only think of the worst.“Sorry! I lost track of time, I’ll be right there,” she replied as she haphazardly pulled herself off the couch, away from Colton’s warm arms. “Colton, I gotta--”“You gotta go,” he nodded understandingly. “I heard,”Sierra was scrambling. She was adjusting her dress, looking under the couch for her fallen shoes, and grabbing her purse all at once. Meanwhile, Colton moved slowly and precisely. He straightened his shirt and grabbed his coat. Then he swiped the motorcycle keys from the table and stretched out his hand.“Come on, I’ll take you home,” he said.“Umm… It’s okay, I can take the cab,” Sierra replied as she pulled her left shoe from behind the couch. She’d love Colton to take her home, that would give her an ex
~ SIERRA ~Sierra was anxious all day long. She could barely concentrate on her intro to media and culture class. She kept looking at the clock, dreading each minute that passed. Yes, on one hand, it was exciting to think about seeing Colton later tonight. But on the other hand, Rosie’s warning was ringing in her ear. Sierra never wanted her feelings to be involved. Or too involved. She knew she had an infatuation with Colton and she enjoyed spending time with him, but there was no way she’d let the feeling develop into something more. That was totally not the plan. The plan was just to have fun and live in the moment. She only had a few years of freedom left before it was time to fulfill her duties. This was only supposed to be a filler, something to distract her while she awaits her fate, nothing more. So, in order to keep things according to plan, Sierra must be careful with her choices. Going on secret dates with Colton, holding hands in the shadow of the alleyways, and kissing a
~ SIERRA ~What the hell am I doing? Why am I doing this? Oh my God!Sierra’s thoughts were racing like a roller coaster. Colton’s hands were roaming her body as she lay on her back on the carpeted floor. He was hovering above her, kissing and sucking on the sweet spot of her neck. She wasn’t supposed to be doing this. Everything was under control just a minute ago, but no, she had to kiss him and push the envelope some more. “Aah…” a soft moan escaped her lips as Colton’s hands started massaging her breasts.Stop! This has to stop! Sierra’s brain kept sending her warning signals, but her body wasn’t responding. She was drunk and drowning under Colton’s intoxicating touch. Every time he touched her, it was always something new and exciting. Her body was curious about it, and it desperately wanted more.“Relax, my princess. I got you,” Colton murmured into her ear as he pushed her body until she laid flat on her back. It was as if he knew she was battling herself in her head. “...I’
~ COLTON ~- - - - - ONE WEEK LATER - - - - -It was 1.30 AM when Colton reached home that night. He just came back from Rosie’s place where he was ‘tutoring’ Sierra, helping her with her exams. Yes, that was what they told everybody and it wasn’t a complete lie. He was tutoring her, just not in the subject that people would think. The tutoring session had been going on almost everyday for the last week and they did it in Rosie’s house. Rosie’s place was a safe spot because Henri wouldn’t suspect Sierra being out in some random place. So, everyday for the past week, Colton would come over after class, acting like a good TA who was there to help her with studying, and he would leave late at night after their session. He would’ve liked to stay longer if he could, but Sierra insisted he should go so the maids and bodyguards don’t suspect anything. Despite having to sneak around and being very careful in the house, Colton admitted that she had been such a good student, learning the ropes
~ SIERRA ~- - - - - ONE WEEK LATER - - - - -The Ascott house was decked out from top to bottom. The crystal chandeliers were being shined, flower arrangements filled up every room, the kitchen was bustling with three chefs preparing meals, and the maids were setting up the silverware in the dining room. Sierra walked past all of them in her pajamas, stealing a grape from one of the serving trays, totally not giving a care in the world. It was the morning of Thanksgiving and Henri was throwing his annual lavish dinner banquet. He invited all of his closest friends and families and tonight was going to be an event to remember. Henri Ascott loved throwing big parties filled with important people, and Thanksgiving was the perfect excuse for it. But Sierra, on the other hand, was totally indifferent to this dinner. She already made plans to see Colton after the dinner, so she just couldn’t wait for it to be over.By the time 7 PM rolled around, the guests began arriving at their home. E
~ SIERRA ~- - - - - TWO WEEKS LATER - - - - -Sierra was pacing nervously in front of Professor Howell’s office. It was mid December and the cold air was blowing down the long hallway. Sierra pulled her jacket tighter and gripped the letter in her hand harder. She let out a long sigh as she stared at the envelope. It was addressed to her from the dean of Columbia University. The reason why she got that letter was because it was the end of the semester and grades were due. Sierra got the letter in the mail this morning and she didn’t have the guts to open it at breakfast. For some of the classes, she felt pretty confident in, but in others, such as The Rhetorics of Science, Sierra could only hope she pulled off a C. Classes in Columbia were no joke. The professors were intense and the other students were all gifted and ambitious. Sierra was homeschooled all her life, she didn’t know what it was to compete with her peers. And it didn’t help that Colton was distracting her during final
~ SIERRA ~“Do we really have to do this?” Rosie groaned as she watched Sierra putting her clothes into her suitcase. Winnie was following behind her master, picking up a fallen scarf and dragging it over to Sierra.“Rose, come on. I told you, it’s gonna be fun!” Sierra said as she packed her cousin’s clothes as neatly as she could.Sierra had told Rosie about Colton’s plan for a trip since the idea first came last week. Unfortunately, Rosie wasn’t nearly as excited about it as Sierra thought she’d be. For Rosie, the Christmas break was reserved for trips to Europe or the Maldives, not to some unknown house Upstate.“I can’t believe this!” Rosie huffed and crossed her arms in protest. “Instead of flying to Paris or Milan, you expect me to spend our precious Christmas holiday in some cabin in the woods in the middle of nowhere?”“It’s not some cabin in the woods,” Sierra rolled her eyes for the umpth time that day. “It’s Colton’s cousin’s holiday house or something like that,”“Yeah, b
