I sat behind my desk laughing as once again my phone rang. Bryce had not stopped calling me, dad, Bairn and Uncle Iver. I am sure he knew that Calan and Mikal were still here, but I also knew there was no fucking way he would have the fucking balls to call either of them. We were waiting for Ruari’s uncle Eamon and Oisin to arrive. They had landed last night but it began snowing about an hour before their plane landed. They could not make it here, so they found a hotel close to the airport and stayed there overnight. I offered to teleport to the airport and bring them back, but Ruari was not having it. I was still holding my arm in front of Aerian while staring these two down. While it did make sense how Anselm was able to teleport to where we are I still did not like the idea of someone being able to bypass my guards. Six Year LaterI huffed out a breath as another one of our servers came hurrying through the door. It was a particularly busy night here at the restaurant tonight. Once again, I could not find her, even if I did follow her scent here. Her scent was the strongest near the edge of the neighborhood closest to the pond where many of us fished at. However, I could never find her exact location. I knew she had to live somewhere around there, but she was hiding from me. Why I was not sure, but I knew there was a reason. Her scent was a mix of cedarwood, amber, lilies and an ocean breeze. It confused and excited my wolf, Locke, and I. It was a strange but alluring mix of light and dark.
