Aerian (Book 1)

While I had wanted to keep this between Ruari and myself, I was immensely thankful for both of my grandfathers. I was hugging the bag that he had handed me to my chest. I still felt a little nauseous, but I think if I ate something now it would stay down. That being said, my stomach reminded me that I did not get to eat this morning.

“I have already linked the kitchen to bring some food to my office. Neither of us really got to eat this morning. Come my dark princess lets go.” Ruari said.

There were already two plates of food sitting on Ruari’s desk when we walked in. I had just sat down as the others began to filter in. Ruari pushed a plate in front of me and told me to eat. Thankfully, nothing looked too heavy. I might be hungry, but I am not sure if my stomach could handle anything heavy or rich. I gladly drank some of the tea that was in the bag. It tasted great and helped keep the nausea at bay, so it was a win-win in my book.

“Sweetheart, are you okay? You look a little pale.”
