2024-10-29 19:42:56It's pouring outside. Joshua hears the sound of the rain against the window. The house is quiet. No Rowan, no mother, no Andrea, no Winter. If only he could relive the moments and time he spent with them, the laughter, the tears. His dad is in the room; his father has changed so much. Joshua stands up and then walks to his dad's room.
He saw his dad sitting there with the family album. He has never seen his dad this sad. He walks up to his dad. Tiffany comes out of her room and enters the main bedroom where Joshua and their dad are sitting. It's been a while since she was in the main bedroom because of the bad memories. “Hey guys, it's raining nicely outside,” she tries cheering them up as Joshua glances at her and nods his head.
Her dad does not look in her direction. It is as if he is not there. She holds her father as he stares blankly into the family portraits. “I got something to tell you and your sister.”

Driving, it's dark as Tiffany falls asleep in the back seat, but it's a new beginning for Joshua and Tiffany. He was thinking back as Joshua took the long road to the silent valley. While driving, Joshua thinks to himself that what he is doing now is for his sister's sake. His sacrifice is a big step, especially after everything that has happened. Feeling sleepy, Joshua pulls over at a nearby motel. Sitting in the car, it's 1 am as he hears the sound of the wind. Joshua knows he is safe where ever he goes, and he is capable of protecting Tiffany. He adjusts his seatback. The tinted windows help a lot, and no one can look into them. Driving on the dusty road, Joshua can not help to notice how dry the place is. There are no trees, no sign of any rain the humidity is 39 degrees. Turning around, he sees Tiffany is still asleep.
