Daphne blinked several times to make sure she wasn't dreaming. The man that had always given her sweet torture in her dreams was a real person and was right before her. He stood there, his presence both comforting and unnerving. She took a deep breath, trying to steady her racing heart.

"Hey, Short thing." He called.

"Short thing?" she asked incredulously, her voice tinged with annoyance. "You shouldn't call me that."

He chuckled, a low, rumbling sound that sent shivers down her spine. "You're a feisty one, aren't you?" he said, his eyes twinkling with amusement. He dropped down, his face inches from hers, almost kissing her. She parted her lips in anticipation, but he moved away, leaving her hanging.

"Get dressed," he said, his tone suddenly serious as he threw her some clothes.

That was when she noticed she was naked under the covering. "What in the world did you do to me." She screamed in shock, her hands instinctively covering herself. His laughter only made her more flustered.

"Relax," he said, still chuckling. "Nothing happened."

She checked herself over, finding no signs of anything wrong, and calmed down. She quickly dressed, feeling a mix of embarrassment and relief. Once she was decent, she followed behind him quietly, her mind a whirlwind of thoughts.

He broke the silence after what felt like an eternity. "Did you want to die?" He asked out of the blue.

"What do you mean?" She responds, not looking up.

"Where I found you was dangerous paths," he said, his voice thoughtful. "What were you doing there?"

She didn't say much, her mind still reeling from the events of the night. "I ran away from home," she finally admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "And then... it all went wrong."

Seeing that she didn't want to talk, he didn't press her further. They walked in silence for a while, the forest around them alive with the sounds of nocturnal creatures. Daphne's mind drifted back to everything that had happened, to Seraphina's betrayal. A fierce determination burned within her. She vowed to make herself stronger and come back to take revenge.

Seraphina's heart pounded in her chest as she paced back and forth, her boots clicking against the cold marble floor. The tension in the air could be felt even from meters away.

"My dear princess, you should calm down," her father said, as he tries to pacify her

Seraphina turned sharply, her long raven hair whipping around her like a dark storm. "I can't be calm, Father. I can't be. Not until I hear that she's gone."

He sighed, leaning forward in his throne. "That is happening for sure. I sent our best men after her. There is no way one tiny girl would be able to escape them. They're very good. So just calm down and—"

His words were cut off by the sound of footsteps approaching the throne room. Both father and daughter turned their gazes towards the entrance, their hearts in their throats. The doors opened to reveal a guard limping into the room. Blood soaked his armor, and his face was pale with exhaustion. His left arm hung limp at his side, clearly broken, and his right leg dragged behind him, leaving a trail of crimson on the floor.

The sight made both father and daughter panic.

"What happened?" the king demanded, his voice trembling.

The guard stumbled forward, falling to his knees before the throne. He looked up, his eyes wide with terror. "It was not what we bargained for, sir. She...she..."

"She what?" Seraphina yelled, impatiently. Her hand twitched towards the hilt of her sword, itching to draw it.

The guard swallowed hard, his throat dry. "She's not human. She's a wolf, sir. A werewolf, your highness, and she...she killed everyone of us. I only managed to escape..."

Seraphina's eyes blazed with fury. Without another word, she unsheathed her sword in a speed of light and brought it down on the guard's neck. His head rolled to the side, "You should have just died with them."

She sheathed her sword and walked away, her mind racing. What was she going to do now? The witch had told her that Daphne was a threat to her taking the throne and the man of her dreams, and the only way to avert that was to kill her. But the guards had failed to do so. She would approach the witch again for help.

Seraphina stormed out of the throne room, her father's calls for her to stop echoing in her ears. She didn't care. All she cared about was finding the witch and making a deal. She knew where to find her

She pushed open the door when she arrived to reveal the witch. Her eyes were black as night, and her skin was pale as death. She smiled, revealing sharp, yellowed teeth. "Ah, Princess Seraphina. To what do I owe the pleasure?"

Seraphina stepped inside, her eyes narrowing. "You know why I'm here. Your plan failed. The guards couldn't kill Daphne. I need more help."

The witch chuckled, a low, sinister sound. "More help, you say? That will come at a price."

Seraphina's jaw tightened. "I'm willing to pay any price."

The witch's smile widened, her eyes shining with malice. "Even your soul, Princess?"

Seraphina hesitated for only a fraction of a second before nodding. "Yes. Even my soul."

The witch clapped her hands together, her laughter ringing through the small hut. "Excellent. Then let us make a pact."

She gestured for Seraphina to sit at the small wooden table in the center of the room. The princess obeyed, her heart racing.

She began to make incantations. She began slowly at first before it became louder and faster, her voice rising and falling.

Suddenly, the witch's eyes snapped open, and she thrust her hand towards Seraphina. "Your soul for my power. Do you accept?"

Seraphina nodded, her mouth dry. "I accept."

The witch grabbed Seraphina's wrist, and a strong electric shock went through her body. She gasped, and her vision got blurry.

The witch's voice got louder and stranger in her ears. "From now on, I'll be inside you, Princess. You'll have my power, but it will cost you. You'll become more than human, more than mortal. And when the time comes, I'll own your soul."

Seraphina's body shook as the witch's magic went into her. Her mind screamed, but she didn't give up. She felt a new strength filling her veins. Her vision cleared, and she looked into the witch's eyes again.

The witch let go and stepped back with a happy smile. "It's done. Now go and take what's yours, Wolf Queen." Seraphina stood up, feeling powerful. She could feel the darkness inside her, like a living thing.

She smiled, a mean smile that scared her a little. "Thanks, Witch. I won't forget this." The witch laughed as Seraphina left the hut.
