Calebs POVI really did not expect seeing Lucian at my door. The fact that I had just come back from meeting with Titan and then Lucian comes knocking at my door was one I didn't deem to be coincidental. Maybe he knew about my meetings with Titan and Alana and had come to confront me about it. Or maybe I was overreacting. "Can I come in?" Lucian asked, shaking me from my thoughts. "Uh, yeah," I muttered as I shifted from the door and gestured for him to come in. He smiled and walked inside as I closed the door. "Your room hasn't changed much," he said as he walked over to a wooden chair and sat on it. "You know how much I like my things same," I said as I leaned my back on the door and crossed my legs. "What are you doing here, Lucian?"Lucian looked at me with a smile as he began twirling his fingers around each other. I could notice he was nervous and both anxious at the same time and he was trying his best to hold it in. I know Lucian right from when we were little and I know
Lucians POVI walked over to Harolds room with anger in my eyes. Anger that Caleb had lied about where he had gone to and anger that he might know where Alana was and had been hiding it from me. As I reached Harolds place, I heard moanings coming from within. That of a man and a woman. Why was I hearing moanings? Was he having sex? But Harold was not mated. Was he having sex outside of mating? Angrily, I pushed down his door and met him on the bed with a naked woman on top of him. She saw me and immediately came down from Harold, struggling with the blanket she wanted to use to cover her self. I recognized her immediately. It was one of the pack omegas, Dana. She pleaded and apologized as I walked towards them. I had no interest in her so I told her to leave. With fear, she immediately packed her things and ran out of the room, not bothering to cover herself. Harold on the other hand, was breathing heavily as he crawled to a corner of his bed, with his back against the headboard.
Calebs POVI groaned and growled in pain as Lucians claw dug into my belly. I could feel his sharp claw getting deeper and deeper and it hurt by the second. I didn't know when he threw the punch at me and it was way too fast for me to dodge this time. I and Lucian had practiced a lot when we were younger so I knew almost all of his moves but this time, he wasn't attacking with clarity. His punches were just random and sudden, sending me off guard with every blow that he struck on me. My mouth was now badly bloodied and I felt about six holes where I knew my teeth used to be. Some o had swallowed from his punches and some I had spit out. His punchings didn't seem to stop and just when I thought it was going to, he shot out his claws and dug it into my abdomen while pinning me to the wall. I knew me making any move to escape was only going to cause more damage to me as that would only cause his was to dig deeper. I held his hands and tried pulling it out but his grip was way to stron
Nixies POVI watched in silence as they carried my fathers body out of the room. I had already cried my eyes out and I was sure I had no water left in my body to pour out. I and my dad had not been that close as I had just gotten to know that he was my dad but the little time that we had spent together was much more precious than the time we spent apart. Lucian and Alana stood by me as I began sobbing again, even though no tear came out from my heart. Seeing the guards carry my fathers body into the woods for the burial rites sent pangs of pain to my heart. The person who felt much more pained by his death than I did was Clara, who just stood with tears pouring out of her eyes as she watched them carry my fathers body. She blamed herself for his death and I felt pained that she felt thay way. I didn't blame her though. I too would have felt the same. All the while I had been in tears, Jacob had been by my side, comforting me. I won't lie, I felt a certain kind of draw to him. And
Lucians POVThe elders and Iago had kept asking me why I had stripped Caleb off his rank as gamma and made him an omega and I told them everything. Right from how I had seen Caleb come down from the chariot suspiciously to how he head confessed of his whereabouts and I removed the part where I had met with Harold so as to spare him of the punishment for having sex with an omega outside of mating. The elders commended me for my actions but Iago refused to believe me. He said that there was no way Caleb, the leader of the warrior pack, would go against his oath and work for the alpha of our rival pack. I explained that I too had felt that way but when I used the alphas eyes of compulsion on him, he confessed the whole truth to me. Iago could not believe his ears. Caleb was working with the Silver Stone pack? It sounded ridiculous to the ear but that was what had happened. Iago asked me, with fury in his eyes, that we deal with Caleb but I declined. I knew Iagos way of dealing with pe
Lucians POVI walked out of the meeting room with Iago following closely behind me. I knew he had lots of questions to ask me concerning the meeting but with the aura that I gave off, he knew to dare not ask my any question. The meeting with the elders had gone as a downslide because of Elder Derrick. He asked questions that I didn't want to be asked and I had to give answers that I never wanted to give. The way he asked those questions though was suspicious as he gave me a knowing look as he spoke. I felt like he knew something that he wasn't supposed to know and I made a mental note in my mind to ask him about it later. "Did you perform my order as I asked you to, Iago?" I asked as I and Iago walked out of the meeting room. "What order are you talking about, Lucian?" he asked, confused and I stopped on my tracks. I turned, glared at him and said between clenched teeth, "it's alpha Lucian to you, Iago. I think it's high time I receive the respect that is supposed to be accorded t
Calebs POVI was cold and weak. The silver chains gripped my hands tightly and my wrists were now red from my constant pulling at the chain. My skin hissed from time to time as the chains dug into my wrists and I felt burns firming on the wrists. I had thrown up so many times since I had come to the dungeon and I didn't have anything left in my stomach to give me strength. Everywhere began spinning as my head pounded heavily and I felt like the whole place was about to collapse on me. When Lucian had left me in my room, bloodied and battered and without my gamma rank, I just laid on the floor and prayed for death to take me. I felt bad for what I did and I knew that now that I had told Lucian about Alanas whereabouts, he was going to go after her. Everything was my fault now and Alana was going to hate me for it. I laid on the floor for what seemed like hours until my door creaked open. I looked up and saw two of my pack warriors, Drial and Forj, standing at my door with silver cha
Lucians POVI walked out of the dungeon and headed towards where all the newly chosen rogues were gathered. I still had thoughts of what Caleb had told me but I decided to put them at the back of my mind and focus on the issues I had in front of me. I and Iago walked to the training ground where all of the rogues were gathered. We reached there and saw about twenty of them gathered in the training pit. They were all lined up and stood straight, as they watched us walk up to them. I sized all of them up before I reached the training pit. What I saw disgusted me. There was no way we were going to win the war when this was what we were working with. All of the men that stood before me were skinny with no flesh on them and they were rough looking. Most looked like they had no war experience. They looked like they could not even land a fist on someone. I turned to Iago angrily and asked, "is this the best you could bring to me? Are this what we are going to use to go to war against the
