EMERALD POV

The wolf stared down at me and in that moment, I didn't have any statement to make. I was shaken by its size and it's ability to hold on to my gaze for long time. It was evident that all he was smelling at the moment was fear, which had been built up within.

"Uhmm Hello?" I summoned the courage to speak, but it didn't seem to be taken by my speech. He was simply studying my posture, my body language. I wondered if he thought of me as a fearful thing.

I was about speaking, when he growled outrageously loud and this shook the entire earth. Without a doubt, he was not giving into my fear.

The growl grew louder, and I realized that I was not alone in the forest. Slowly, I turned to face the direction of the growl, my hands trembling. And then, I saw it - a wolf, its eyes glowing in the darkness. It was moving towards me, its teeth bared. I tried to run, but my legs wouldn't move. I was frozen in place, my heart beating like a drum in my chest.
