Dianne woke up with a massive headache due to drinking all night. Upon opening her eyes, she was horrified to see herself in a completely strange house. "Please, tell me it wasn't a one-night stand," she whispered under her breath. She took a deep breath and looked under the sheets and saw she was wearing different clothes. Her face suddenly became pale and she stood up from the bed, dizzy as fuck.
She looked around the room and noticed it was an extravagant room, probably the master's bedroom. She took her phone and wallet on the side table. She gulped and breathed heavily before walking to the dresser where a picture frame is turned to the fall. She shakily grabbed it before turning it around before the shock made her fall to the ground.
"Holy-" She covered her mouth in horror as she stared at the picture of her ex-boyfriend and his late wife, Chloe, in a happy portrait in Paris. She stood up from the ground as her heartbeat was rapid.
She got out of the room and came face to face with the empty hallway, almost like a nightmare. Please… wake me up from this, she thought to herself. She gathered her strength despite walking with a hazy vision and throbbing head. She reached the living room downstairs before hearing the sound of the utensils in the kitchen hitting one another, and the smell of the food Silvester was cooking.
She watched her footsteps as she sneaked away from him, praying not to get caught. Despite her hangover, she managed to reach the front door and dash out of there. Her breathing was still unstable and her heart started racing again when she saw Silvester behind the window, cooking. She ran away before hiding behind a bush, enough time for her to be out of sight when he turned to look outside.
After a couple of minutes of walking and she was already tired and the sky was turning darker as the sun hid behind a cloud. She checked the pockets of the shorts she was wearing and found her phone but her wallet was missing and her eyes widened. "Fuck!" she cursed loudly before realizing she must've dropped it somewhere.
She shakily opened her phone before calling her friend and right-hand man, Harrison. He might only be her assistant but he definitely acts as a father figure despite him only being three years older than her.
"And where have you been?" She gulped, she hasn't even said anything, yet he is already asking questions.
"Pick me up near the town park, I need a ride," she uttered before ending the call immediately. She doesn't want to receive an earful from him. Dianne looked up into the sky and noticed a few drops of tears from the clouds. She walked around the park before sitting down on a bench.
Once more, she looked at the sky and noticed the lighting forming in the clouds. She deeply sighed before resting her head on the bench. She felt the pouring rain hit her skin that seemed to ease her worries yet it was replaced by worry.
"What!" she screamed as someone wrapped a bag around her head, making her blind from what was going on around her. In a matter of seconds, they wrapped her hand with a rope but this didn't stop her from kicking the man in front of her and turning around to punch the man who wrapped the bag around her head. They both groaned and she bolted as fast as she could from them but her legs were pulled and she fell to the ground. "Fuck!" she screamed as her boobs slightly hit the floor despite helping herself with her tied hands.
"Give up, Dianne, we're taking you to the master." Master?! What master? she thought to herself before freeing her hands with brute force and ripping the rope apart before she took off the bag on her head. "Leave me the fuck alone!" she screamed in frustration as the rain poured down and the thunder blocked out her screams as they dragged her by her feet. She turned around to face them as she pulled her legs closer to her and kicked them with full force, making them fall to the ground.
She stood up and blew out-breath before fixing her wet clothes because of the rain. One of the men pointed a gun at her and she lowered her head before kicking the gun away. "Dianne!" She looked behind the men as she heard Harrison scream.
"Well then, I'll see y'all next time," she sarcastically said before running as fast as she could as they followed behind her. "Catch her!"
Harrison opened the window on the back seat as she ran to him. He got ready to dash, waiting for her. "Go!" she screamed loudly before jumping through the window of the car door, landing on the soft cushions at the back. He immediately drove away as she composed herself. "Are you okay? What happened? Is something wrong? What did they do to you-" She hushed him before telling him that she was fine.
"I told you not to go alone! I was worried sick all day! You're not a normal person, Dianne. You can't roam around like one! You'd end up dead for fuck's sake."
"I'm taking you to the headquarters and get yourself ready," he said and she nodded like a polite kid.
Once they arrived at the headquarters, she took a bath and put on her black fitted dress and red heels before looking at herself in the mirror. "Nothing happened, right?" she asked herself if anything happened between her and Silvester.
"What?" She turned around and saw Harrison and she shook it off. Whatever happened will stay only to her knowledge.
"You're still not off the hook after sneaking and drinking out, Dianne," he reminded and she rolled her eyes. "Stop acting like my dad," she said before scoffing. He keeps being strict with her despite her capability to take down ten men at once.
Two guards opened a massive door for her as she walked into the silent meeting room and the sounds of her heels are the only thing that can be heard. Powerful men are standing up next to the marble table as they bow before her. Surrounded by powerful men yet she's the most powerful among them all. Her cheerful aura vanished as she turned cold and intimidating.
"Gentlemen, have a seat." She walked towards the front and looked around before rolling her eyes and slamming her left hand on the table. "Where is Kronos?" A tablet was handed to her and there lies the man she is looking for. She put on her eyeglasses and deadpan looked at him.
"Looking dashing, love," he teasingly said and she clenched her jaw.
"Looks like your lover, Rae, was it? Looks like he wasn't as nice as you imagined," he said and she raised an eyebrow, feeling annoyed with the handsome man in front of her.
"Are you mocking me?" she asked and the man laughed. Everyone respects her, they do as she commands, yet this man doesn't listen to her one bit.
"Well, if you married me, this wouldn't have happened. I'd say this is a poor choice of yours," he said and she clenched her jaw.
"You didn't show up to the meeting and now you mock me?" She slammed the table with her left hand. "Do you perhaps want to be married to death? I can make the arrangement." She cunningly smiled and he smirked. They were once allies bound to marry one another but she refused and didn't show up, making him look like a fool.
"Apologies, Dianne," he said but it sounds as if it was not sincere.
"I have gathered you today because of a traitor. You may know him as a member of the syndicate, or you may know him as my fiancé, but regardless, an action must be taken," she said and one tried to hold his laughter and she shot a glare.
"You might be smart but definitely dumb in love," an old leader uttered and her lips parted. She crossed her arm and leaned back before grabbing a pistol and pointing it at the man. "Once I find out that one of the leaders of the syndicate is a traitor…" She pulled the trigger and everyone flinched, waiting for the bullet to hit the old man, but the gun was empty. "I will pull another trigger but it will be filled with bullets," she said with a sweet and devilish smile.
Harrison couldn't help but have a slight smirk upon seeing her ruling the syndicate.
She stood up and walked out of the once again silent room and only her red heels are making noises. She sighed heavily as the guards close the door after she left the room. She removed her glasses before heading to an elevator as Harrison follows behind her.
"Where is he?" she asked as she checked the time on her phone.
"Cell 13," he uttered and she turned to look at him with an angry look.
"You dare to mock me?" she angrily asked and he shook his head profusely and raised both his hand. "That's our anniversary number, you dickhead," she said before the elevator opened and she furiously stomped her way to cell 13.
As she enters the cell door, she can see him clothed properly and the cell has a bed. She sighed and sat down on a chair to talk to him. Her love for him is still there but it's as if it was lost deep within and vanished upon the betrayal. She cleared her throat before looking at him with a cold stare.
"Speak what you want to say, this will be the last time I will visit," she said and he slowly looked up at her.
"Dianne, I didn't expect you to spare me," he said and she rolled her eyes.
"You deceived a syndicate leader, I should've killed you but I still have some decency," she uttered before crossing her legs and he stood up and tried to get closer but the chains on him limited his movements.
"I didn't intend for it to go too far, I apologize for ruining your feelings," he said and she can't tell if it is sincere or not.
"I admit to everything said against me. But you must know something, they're coming after you." She stood up and was about to leave. She held the cell door and pushed it open but stopped when he uttered, "That man, Silvester, is a valuable man to the enemy." She turned to look at him with a confused look.
"Avoid him if you want to avoid a war… or if you want to keep him safe." Rae's eyes say it all, he's being honest right now and betraying the other side.
She sighed heavily before opening the door. Before leaving, she had one last question. "Did you ever love me?" she asked with a heavy heart, afraid of his answer.
"I did, that's why I wanted to put an end to this… fucked relationship," he said and a tear fell down Dianne's eye before she closed the door behind her. She covered her mouth as her tears fell continuously.
"Dianne…?" Harrison held her shoulder and she cried further. It feels as if the pain was new despite feeling this countless times. She should've never trusted him of keeping her heart.
"Tell me your orders, I will do as you wish," Harrison said and she wiped her tears before fixing her composure. When she thought emotions already vanished within her, pain stroked her soul.
"Spare him but still extract information from him the best you can," she ordered and he nodded.
She fixed her hair and wiped what was left of her tears. She walked away from the cell rooms as her heels echoed through the halls. Once more, her heart broke for a man and she's hoping that this will be the last time her heart will be broken, or else she will turn cold as ice, a merciless leader.
"Get ready to assassinate another traitor in an auction," she reminded before leaving.
"Dye my hair red." Dianne looked in the mirror smiling to herself as she listened to the soft music in the background. The woman nodded before she let Dianne lay down to wash her hair first. It was a sunny day, the perfect day for a woman like her. She hates the mud, hates getting wet, and feels sad on a rainy day. Once her appointment was done, she looked at herself in the mirror with a smirk before looking at her red painted nails that are sharp enough to slice a man's neck. "Looks great," she said before handing the woman her credit card. She put her wavy long red hair behind her ears before another woman was sent to do her makeup. "I'm going on a… date," she explained and the hairstylist smiled. "Must be romantic," the woman commented with a giggle. "More like bloody," Dianne whispered and the woman's smile fell. "P-pardon?" Dianne ignored her before checking her phone. A show will begin in an hour, let it be brutal and bloody. Once she was ready, she put on a silk red dress
SILVESTER couldn't forget the way Dianne presented herself. Her red hair, ocean eyes, and tattoos on her back were something he could never forget. Marks of lashes are evident under the tattoos. Was she ever tortured? He closed his eyes as he imagined the tattoos again. They weren't merely accessories to her, she didn't just get them because she liked tattoos. But rather, she got them to cover the wounds of her past. "Who really are you, Dianne?" he asked himself as he stared at his ceiling. He splashed his face with water before he got ready. He put on his suit before fixing his tie. Is she really a secret agent? Should I tell this to the police? What if she's not? I'm an attorney, I can't let a criminal get their way, he thought to himself. But I also don't want her to get in trouble… he thought further. He sighed heavily, not knowing what to do. A knock on his door interrupted him and he went to check who it was. He looked through the peephole of his door and saw a man in a s
SOMEWHERE underground, the elites held a meeting to discuss the events that had happened. Since their spy has been caught, information can be extracted from him by the syndicate. "How can we be so sure that he won't give out information?" One of the men asked and murmurs around the room echoed. "We should send another person to finish him." Everyone nodded to the suggestion. "Now, who has summoned me from my sleep?" The elites looked at the entrance and there stood a woman with long blonde hair that reached her bottom wearing white pants and a blacktop. Everyone was silent as she walked to the front in her black high heels. She put her hair in a low bun as her blue eyes stared at everyone with a deadpan look. "We didn't know you would return," one of them commented with a surprised look. The woman smirked before leaning back. "I'm back in action, baby," she said with the most devilish grin as she thought of a plan to ruin their lives. "Send someone to the syndicate," she commanded
Dianne let all her emotions out before the following morning came. Cry now, be a bad bitch later is what she always says. They have another mission, and she chose to come. She can command members to do it for her but she loves the thrill. She's probably the only leader that gets herself in the action than just sit and watch her goons do it for her. "I can't let our paths cross again," said Dianne, talking about her first love. She slapped her cheeks a couple of times before shaking her body. "Forget about it, focus on what's ahead," she told herself in the mirror before smiling. She's wearing black pants and a black hoodie that has knives hidden inside in case she needs it. Since her hair is red, it is too noticeable so she wore a black wig to hide her identity. Once she was finished, she called Harrison to meet her at the underground garage. She didn't get ready in her house, she stayed the night at one of their headquarters while Harrison worked and looked after her. She sigh
SILVESTER woke up outside his house in the middle of the day as the sun burnt his skin. He groaned in pain as he tried to roll over, only to fall off the steps of his porch. He shielded his face in hopes to avoid the sun before crawling back to his porch. "The fuck?" he whispered as he opened his eyes only to get blinded by the sun. He held his aching head before standing up. The world felt like it was spinning for him as he unlocked his front door. He looked around and found his house the way it was when he left it last night. He sat down on his couch before sighing heavily. Was I really that drunk last night? he thought to himself before he took the remote to open the television. He leaned back as he relaxed. He closed his eyes as the television shifted to the news. He listened as he was falling asleep but one particular news caught his attention. "An unknown group killed one of the biggest drug lords in the country. There was no CCTV footage in the bar but there were surveillanc
Another two months had passed and everything was at peace. The syndicate was in a safe zone, and her company was going well. It was too perfect to be true but she was enjoying the pleasure of the peaceful environment she thought she wouldn't experience. Until a defamation case occurred. "What is it now?" The annoyance is heard in her voice as Angelica hands her a tablet with a news article about their company. She seemed nervous to see Dianne's reaction as she should. Dianne slammed her hands on the table before standing up. She furiously walks out of her office while Angelica, her assistant in the company, follows behind her. "Reporters are waiting outside for an announcement," she whispered."Clear the way, I don't want a single reporter a meter near me," she ordered and her assistant immediately called the guards to tell them what to do. Her heels echoed as the employees in her company moved out of her way. She's a kind CEO yet deadly when messed with. Once the guards opened th
"Are you insane?!" She blinked a couple of times before gulping as Harrison scolds her. She moved away from him before grabbing a cupcake. "You know his connection to the chaos we have right now, right? Ever since you stopped contact with that man, the elites have been laying low. God knows what they'll do once the news spreads to them," he said in frustration before he sat down on a couch. She pouted, realizing she was being careless. "Sorry?" She doesn't know if she should apologize or not, making him scoff. "Talk to Angelica then…" Putting the blame on her friend while pouting, Harrison left the room to confront her friend. He never talked to Angelica, nor looked at her. He knows she's friends with Dianne but he doesn't want to get involved with her as she doesn't know about the syndicate. Harrison sighed heavily as he saw her talking to other employees. He walked in their direction but stopped in his tracks when another man intentionally spilled coffee on her. He watched as she
The case was resolved and Dianne's reputation was still tarnished because of how she blew a punch on Mr. Smith but some netizens view it as a well-deserved punch because of how he disrespected her deceased parents and her ability as the head of a corporation. Two days after the case ended, she called Silvester to her office for the check for his payment. Though, she was surprised to see Harrison waiting in her office. "And why are you here?" she asked before rolling her eyes. "Can I not surprise my master?" he teasingly asked and her lips parted before she hysterically laughed. "Master?" she asked with raised eyebrows as she walked over to him. "I brought you a cake to celebrate winning the case." He opened a box and the aroma of the cake spread inside the room as Dianne smelled the delicious flavor of strawberry. "And chocolate." He winked at her before throwing a bar of chocolate in her direction and she caught it. She excitedly ran in his direction before hugging him. "Thank yo
NOW everything is over, Dianne and Silvester are now living without worrying about death. But, it wasn't always so easy. When the public was informed of Dianne's reappearance, it was not taken lightly. Silvester had to represent her in court to fight for her freedom. It was difficult, but they managed to win. "Thank you." Her genuine appreciation made his heart feel at ease. This woman makes living fantastic despite the problems it installs. She makes his life filled with color and removes sorrows. Despite winning the case, some sacrifices needed to be made. Her company was taken away from her and there was nothing they could do. "I… Everything my parents have done is now in vain." Silvester was there throughout her struggles. Now, they need to start over. He felt nostalgic as he remembered the first time he met her again after so many years. He stumbled upon her with Rae, her then-boyfriend. Silvester and her did not end on great terms but seeing how drunk she was, all he could th
Mr. Damos was in fury, how come she's already awake and now she's back in action? This was not according to plan as his hand continued to bleed out. "Shoot her!" His angry command did not bother her in the slightest. "Stand down," another woman's voice appeared from outside the room. Everyone was confused, but the elites' soldiers knew who it was. They lowered their guns as the woman emerged. It was no other than Addison Scott, the woman who was furious at Dianne Reeves, who is now on her side to stop the war. The two women stood side by side as both their power was stronger than Mr. Damos. He had no match as Dianne controlled the syndicate members, and Addison controlled the elites. "What is this?!" Mr. Damos was in disbelief, he couldn't move. He was cornered. Before he knew it, the syndicate members rose from the ground and made a path in the middle of the room for Dianne. Silvester couldn't take his eyes off of the woman he loves and so does his brother. The two of them ma
SILVESTER was swimming in blood and drenched with sweat. With daggers in one hand and a gun in the other, the enemies are in shambles facing him with fear. They underestimated the supreme leader, and now, they're paying for the price. "Where is he?" he asked in a menacing and deep voice as he grabbed the man's collar with a gun pointed at his head. The man did not answer. Silvester sensed someone running beside them that he lifted the gun and shot the man. "Now, where the fuck is he?" He was running out of patience as he questioned the man in front of him again. "One…" he stated. "Two…" When the count reached three, Silvester pulled the trigger and the man dropped to the floor, dead. They have been in a constant battle in this building for the whole day. There were many floors and many men inside the building. With joined forces with different syndicate leaders, they were able to stop the men they had to fight from the elites. It was strange to find some syndicate men fighting the
Every step he takes, the anxiety inside him increases. The door to where Dianne was staying was only a few feet away but he wanted to backtrack. Kronos did not give him any context and just led him here which scared him. "You can enter," Kronos said in a low tone and Silvester gulped. Silvester grabbed the door handle and gripped it tightly. He kept praying to God that she was alright before finally opening the door and seeing her on the hospital bed, sleeping. He clenched his jaw and slowly got closer. "What's her condition?" he asked the doctor. "Her body is exhausted. However, she is showing signs that she is recovering. We will examine and do checks on her every so often," he explained and Silvester nodded his head. He asked the doctor and guards to leave the two of them alone and so they did. Silvester grabbed a chair and placed it next to her bed. He deeply sighed before sitting down as he stared at her. She was pale as a ghost and cold as ice when he touched her hand to
"FUCK!" RAE was bitten and kicked so that his hand loosened the grip on Eva. She turned around and jolted in his direction as she tried grabbing the gun. "Why even do this?" he asked in confusion but she did not answer. She kicked his stomach but he held her foot in place. The two looked at each other for a moment before Rae smirked evilly and pulled her foot. She fell to the ground before he bent down and apprehended her hands while the gun was pointed at her head. "We have your family, remember?" Rae asked, knowing they are in Silvester's mansion. Eva's laughter of disappointment rhymed along with the waves of thunder. "His fucking dad got them, you idiots!" she screamed in anger as she remembered what happened that day. She was hiding from the syndicate when Mr. Damos was the one who was the first to find her. The following morning, he instructed her to walk in the streets until Rae got a hold of her. It wasn't a coincidence that they met that day, it was set up. She was forced
Mr. Damos turned over and was in fury upon seeing more than a dozen soldiers behind Silvester stop the ceremony. His anger was very evident but he laughed loudly. "Pardon him, he's very much in envy of this union. Please, continue the ceremony," Mr. Damos announced to force the ceremony to continue but Silvester started walking down the aisle. Rae, who was Kronos' best man, almost shouted in relief when they arrived. "Mr. Damos, our father, is the traitor," Silvester uttered while staring at Kronos who was nodding his head. The syndicate members gasped. Both current and old leaders were there to witness the wedding and they were in disbelief. Mr. Damos' anxiety grew within him as he thought of a way to turn the situation away. "Nonsense! My loyalty lies to the syndicate!" he shouted with nervous laughter as his eyes panned at everyone in the forest. The loud gushes of wind blew within them and there was silence. "This is ridiculous!" "Detain him." A single command by the supreme l
"MAYBE he loves me?" Dianne was deep in her thoughts as she watched the rain pour down and stain the glass that shields her from getting wet. Watching the pouring rain while listening to a podcast while thinking of the man that confuses her heart, she sighed in both relaxation and annoyance. Her memory is useless, she wants to know what their relationship was but no matter how hard she thought of it, she simply can't remember. "Fuck!" she screamed as she got up from her seat and closed the television. The only way to find out is if she confronts him. She walked to the door and opened it, only to be blocked by the guards. Her dead stare was like the devil pulling you into hell. "The supreme leader summons me," she whispered like a threat. They surprisingly moved away to let her do as she wished. She almost lost her character for a moment. Dianne cleared her throat before putting on her mask and glasses and closing the door behind her. When she was far away from the guards, she gigg
A HORRIFYING scene of Silvester's mother with blood all over her body chasing him down made him jump from his seat with sweat running down his face. He looked at his surroundings in worry but found Dianne on the couch staring at him confusedly. "I thought your wounds hurt," she pointed out while looking at his abdomen. He blinked a couple of times before clenching his wounds and falling to the ground, "Oww," he exaggerated. "Are you okay? Looked like you were having a bad dream," she murmured before her gaze turned to the TV in front of them. Silvester glanced behind his back and hit the couch after getting scared of the zombie on the screen. "Jesus Christ!" he screamed before holding his heart. Dianne laughed at his reaction and he sighed, now knowing why he suddenly had a nightmare. He fell asleep on her shoulder earlier and was not aware of what she was doing. He was surprised that she stayed. He thought she would have left already but she did not. There's progression to th
Rae stared at Dianne and blatantly told her no. "But!" He shook his head. He might get in trouble if she sneaks out and he does not want to be responsible for it. She was displeased by his response. Dianne stopped talking with him and he was told to get lost. He sighed heavily while staring at a glaring Dianne. He's glad to see her safe and still sassy. "Why do you want to sneak out anyway?" he asked with suspicion about what this woman is up to. Dianne blinks, even though she has no clue why she would want to see Silvester, the reason she wants to sneak out and disobey Kronos. She groaned in frustration before sitting down. "Just 'cause!" She tried reasoning which he found laughable. He crossed his arms with a smirk before uttering, "I'm not taking you if you don't tell me." She did not say anything. He walked to the door and grabbed the handle. "Okay then," he teasingly said before opening it slightly. Dianne groaned as she shouted, "Wait!" He smiled lightly, predicting her acti
