"You're drunk," he uttered before pushing her back to the sofa. He sighed before standing up and messing his hair. This is bad.

He looked down at Dianne who was clearly still under the influence. He shouldn't take advantage of her. A man should take care of a drunk woman, not take advantage of her.

He left her there to get some spare clothes for her. After getting an oversized shirt and underwear for her, he returned to the living room but found no soul. He immediately started looking for her and upon entering the kitchen, he saw her throw a kitchen knife in his direction and he quickly dodged it as it hit the wall.

"He cheated on me!" She cried loudly as his heartbeat was rapid from almost getting pierced by a knife through his heart. He didn't know she had the skills of an assassin.

She grabbed another knife and he ran to her and took all the knives away. "I hate… him!" She sniffed her nose before opening the fridge.

"Where's my chocolate drink?" Tears fell as she couldn't find any, making Silvester sigh.

He approached her and grabbed her shoulders. "Wash your face," he sweetly said as he brought her to the sink. She vomited again before she successfully washed.

It was hard to instruct her but she managed to change clothes by herself before depressingly leaving the bathroom and sitting on the floor. "I was engaged to him…" she murmured and his eyes widened.

"I really thought he was the one," she said as she looked up at Silvester looking down on her. "Things could've been worse," he uttered and she sniffed.

"He could've died and that's worse." Yeah, he's not good at helping a broken-hearted person. Instead of feeling better, guilt was seen in her eyes and she cried harder.

"I'm so doomed!" she shouted before trying to wipe her tears.

He managed to calm her down but she kept waking up at night to bother him or try to find food in the kitchen. He was unable to get rest. Now, she's trashing the kitchen to find fast food. "Stop." He tried grabbing the oranges from her but she didn't budge.

He pinned her against the counter and she gulped. "I-I'm… sorry?" she unsurely said and he clenched his jaw before leaning down to have their faces aligned.

Her eyes widened and she tried getting away but her escape path was blocked by his masculine arms, pinning her in place. He threw the orange away before he tilted his head as he examined her. "Let's go to the rooftop."

Once they arrived, she felt a bit of fear. "You're not… going to throw me off, are you?" she asked as her drunk state is starting to subside but she still feels the headache from it.

She knows it's bad to be with Silvester but she can't help but stay a little longer.

She walked around and saw that the place looks like a picnic area. "Wow, you're rich," she said and he chuckled as he followed behind her looking around.

She gasped loudly as she saw white roses. "They're so pretty!" she exclaimed in excitement. "Can I have one?" she asked as she turned around to look at him but he shook his head. She pouted before scoffing.

"You even have fairy lights here?!" She felt young again, the excitement made her feel nostalgic.

She was about to run off but the wires on the ground tripped her. Silvester was quick to catch her and pulled her towards him, and hugged her. "Be careful," he whispered with a smile and her heartbeat went rapidly.

"Go away-" She tried pushing him but only made both of them fall to the ground. He felt the impact on his body but made sure to shelter Dianne. She turned red as she was on top of him.

A few hours ago, she got cheated on. Now, she's in this position with her ex-lover.

"Why did you leave me, Dianne?" he asked and she froze. She avoided eye contact as she clenched her jaw. He can never know under any circumstances. "Tell me, why did you leave me longing for you?" he asked and she tried stopping her tears from falling.

"I simply didn't love you enough to make me stay." A beautiful liar protected her real reason.

He let his grip loose, letting her sit down. He sat down as she was sitting on his lap before hugging her. "You might not remember this moment tomorrow morning, I just want to tell you…" He took a deep breath.

"I never stopped loving you."

Piercing pain spread across her heart as her tears fell. She couldn't help it any longer, her emotions were overflowing. Despite both their feelings shattered again, he kissed her forehead.

Why is he being nice to her?

ON THE OTHER side of the city, Rae was caught by the syndicate. He was cornered in an alleyway with nowhere to escape. Fear consumed him as he heard loud footsteps behind him. As he turned around, a man wearing a black suit emerged as if he was the grim reaper.

"Rae Rickson, 26 years old, fiance of Dianna Reeves, with the crime of treason and infidelity," the man with a deep voice uttered five feet away from Rae.

"Who are you?" He trembled in fear as the man walked forward, revealing his face.

"Someone worse than death," he uttered with a devilish grin before men dragged Rae away with a cloth covering his mouth, blocking his screams. The man who ordered the punishment laughed loudly with a grin on his face. "Hurting her means punishment worse than perishing," he said as he walked away and the only sound was his shoes stepping on the ground.

Arriving in the underground prison, Rae was beaten and tortured for information. "Tell me, how long have you been working with the enemies?" the punisher asked but he didn't answer, earning another lash. He groaned in pain but is still fighting death.

"Tell me the reason why you committed treason! Tell me why you cheated on the leader?!" He grew frustrated as Rae was not answering his questions.

"Why do you care that I cheated?" For the first time, he spoke.

"Who are you?" Rae asked, making him scoff.

"Who am I? I'm the protector of the leader, ask for forgiveness and give us the information. I'll consider sparing you as she loved you before." He sighed heavily before wiping the blood from the lash.

"Infidelity and treason, two birds with one stone, ey?" The punisher said before scoffing and glaring at Rae, still not over the fact about his suspicion. Even from the start, he already hated this man and knew something was off.

"Love is dangerous, isn't it? One wrong mistake and everything is over," Rae said, receiving two more lashes. He screamed in pain as he couldn't do anything to stop the man.

"Over for you," he said before giving the lash to someone else. He checked his phone and saw miscalls from Dianne. "Torture him till we get the information we need," he commanded before taking off his gloves and leaving the room.

He called her in which she answered after the last ring. "Don't kill… him," she whispered lowly and his eyebrows furrowed.

"What? Why are you whispering?" he asked in confusion.

"Listen, Harrison. D-don't kill him, let me talk to him. I'll come b-back tomorrow," she said before hiccuping and he sensed something odd.

"Are you drunk?!" he angrily screamed and she flinched on the other side.

"Who are you talking with?" Harrison heard a baritone voice on the other line and his anger grew further. Before he can even react, she bids goodbye before ending the call. "Dianne- Dianne!" he screamed.

He received a message from her saying she's fine and will be back soon but he's still worried. With no other choice, all he can do is wait for her to come back.

"Look for Dianne," he commanded so someone can keep an eye on her in case something bad happens. Screaming was heard from a distance and it was no other than from Rae getting severely tortured.

That is what you get for challenging the syndicate.

BACK AT SILVESTER'S house, he was able to make Dianne sleep at last. He has been struggling to give her continuous sleep but now she's sleeping like a baby. But this feels wrong, severely. He loves his deceased wife, he wants to take revenge and find the killer, but why is he here with Dianne?

He felt as if he was betraying his wife and the guilt was consuming him as he looked at Dianne. Should he avoid her for the sake of his dead wife? This seems too unfair for Chloe despite her being deceased.

Whatever happens, Silvester will take revenge with or without Dianne on his side.

"Good night, Dianne," said Silvester. The plan to find the killer tonight was ruined but he found someone who gave him peace. He put a blanket over her before closing the lights and leaving the room.

When the morning came, he went out of his room to cook breakfast for the two of them. He checked on her before and she was still there but upon finishing cooking, she disappeared all of a sudden as if it was all in his head.

He double-checked but still nothing as if it was all a dream. He looked at the wall of his kitchen where the knife is still lodged and definitely knew she was really here but she suddenly left.

He looked inside her room and found her wallet. He smirked before looking through it. "I guess she's coming back soon," he uttered. Credit cards, debit cards, and cash. All the things she needs are here, she'll surely need to return.

After all, maybe fate led them back together?

He received a message from an unknown number, the same anonymous tipper that told him where the killer was last night.

"Look within the surface, find what you seek, and don't be deceived." He clenched his jaw after reading the message.

Dianne woke up with a massive headache due to drinking all night. Upon opening her eyes, she was horrified to see herself in a completely strange house. "Please, tell me it wasn't a one-night stand," she whispered under her breath. She took a deep breath and looked under the sheets and saw she was wearing different clothes. Her face suddenly became pale and she stood up from the bed, dizzy as fuck. She looked around the room and noticed it was an extravagant room, probably the master's bedroom. She took her phone and wallet on the side table. She gulped and breathed heavily before walking to the dresser where a picture frame is turned to the fall. She shakily grabbed it before turning it around before the shock made her fall to the ground. "Holy-" She covered her mouth in horror as she stared at the picture of her ex-boyfriend and his late wife, Chloe, in a happy portrait in Paris. She stood up from the ground as her heartbeat was rapid. She got out of the room and came face to

"Dye my hair red." Dianne looked in the mirror smiling to herself as she listened to the soft music in the background. The woman nodded before she let Dianne lay down to wash her hair first. It was a sunny day, the perfect day for a woman like her. She hates the mud, hates getting wet, and feels sad on a rainy day. Once her appointment was done, she looked at herself in the mirror with a smirk before looking at her red painted nails that are sharp enough to slice a man's neck. "Looks great," she said before handing the woman her credit card. She put her wavy long red hair behind her ears before another woman was sent to do her makeup. "I'm going on a… date," she explained and the hairstylist smiled. "Must be romantic," the woman commented with a giggle. "More like bloody," Dianne whispered and the woman's smile fell. "P-pardon?" Dianne ignored her before checking her phone. A show will begin in an hour, let it be brutal and bloody. Once she was ready, she put on a silk red dress

SILVESTER couldn't forget the way Dianne presented herself. Her red hair, ocean eyes, and tattoos on her back were something he could never forget. Marks of lashes are evident under the tattoos. Was she ever tortured? He closed his eyes as he imagined the tattoos again. They weren't merely accessories to her, she didn't just get them because she liked tattoos. But rather, she got them to cover the wounds of her past. "Who really are you, Dianne?" he asked himself as he stared at his ceiling. He splashed his face with water before he got ready. He put on his suit before fixing his tie. Is she really a secret agent? Should I tell this to the police? What if she's not? I'm an attorney, I can't let a criminal get their way, he thought to himself. But I also don't want her to get in trouble… he thought further. He sighed heavily, not knowing what to do. A knock on his door interrupted him and he went to check who it was. He looked through the peephole of his door and saw a man in a s

SOMEWHERE underground, the elites held a meeting to discuss the events that had happened. Since their spy has been caught, information can be extracted from him by the syndicate. "How can we be so sure that he won't give out information?" One of the men asked and murmurs around the room echoed. "We should send another person to finish him." Everyone nodded to the suggestion. "Now, who has summoned me from my sleep?" The elites looked at the entrance and there stood a woman with long blonde hair that reached her bottom wearing white pants and a blacktop. Everyone was silent as she walked to the front in her black high heels. She put her hair in a low bun as her blue eyes stared at everyone with a deadpan look. "We didn't know you would return," one of them commented with a surprised look. The woman smirked before leaning back. "I'm back in action, baby," she said with the most devilish grin as she thought of a plan to ruin their lives. "Send someone to the syndicate," she commanded

Since her hair is red, it is too noticeable so she wore a black wig to hide her identity. Once she was finished, she called Harrison to meet her at the underground garage. SILVESTER woke up outside his house in the middle of the day as the sun burnt his skin. He groaned in pain as he tried to roll over, only to fall off the steps of his porch. He shielded his face in hopes to avoid the sun before crawling back to his porch. "The fuck?" he whispered as he opened his eyes only to get blinded by the sun. He held his aching head before standing up. The world felt like it was spinning for him as he unlocked his front door. He looked around and found his house the way it was when he left it last night. He sat down on his couch before sighing heavily. Was I really that drunk last night? he thought to himself before he took the remote to open the television. He leaned back as he relaxed. He closed his eyes as the television shifted to the news. He listened as he was falling asleep but one particular news caught his attention. "An unknown group killed one of the biggest drug lords in the country. There was no CCTV footage in the bar but there were surveillanc

Another two months had passed and everything was at peace. The syndicate was in a safe zone, and her company was going well. It was too perfect to be true but she was enjoying the pleasure of the peaceful environment she thought she wouldn't experience. Until a defamation case occurred. "What is it now?" The annoyance is heard in her voice as Angelica hands her a tablet with a news article about their company. She seemed nervous to see Dianne's reaction as she should. Dianne slammed her hands on the table before standing up. She furiously walks out of her office while Angelica, her assistant in the company, follows behind her. "Reporters are waiting outside for an announcement," she whispered."Clear the way, I don't want a single reporter a meter near me," she ordered and her assistant immediately called the guards to tell them what to do. The man did not answer. Silvester sensed someone running beside them that he lifted the gun and shot the man. "Now, where the fuck is he?" He was running out of patience as he questioned the man in front of him again. "One…" he stated. There were many floors and many men inside the building. With joined forces with different syndicate leaders, they were able to stop the men they had to fight from the elites. Every step he takes, the anxiety inside him increases. The door to where Dianne was staying was only a few feet away but he wanted to backtrack. Kronos did not give him any context and just led him here which scared him. "You can enter," Kronos said in a low tone and Silvester gulped. Silvester grabbed the door handle and gripped it tightly. He kept praying to God that she was alright before finally opening the door and seeing her on the hospital bed, sleeping. He clenched his jaw and slowly got closer. "What's her condition?" he asked the doctor. "Her body is exhausted. However, she is showing signs that she is recovering. We will examine and do checks on her every so often," he explained and Silvester nodded his head. He asked the doctor and guards to leave the two of them alone and so they did. The two looked at each other for a moment before Rae smirked evilly and pulled her foot. She fell to the ground before he bent down and apprehended her hands while the gun was pointed at her head. "We have your family, remember?" Rae asked, knowing they are in Silvester's mansion. Eva's laughter of disappointment rhymed along with the waves of thunder.
