I scoffed, indignant as I snapped back at him, "I think you're the one who's sick here!"

"I'm being serious," he replied, reaching to touch my cheek, which was enough to make me falter in an instant.

"Has your mother never brought you to a hospital before?" He asked with a solemn expression. "I think you might have tactile craving disorder."

"Are you mad?" I crossed my arms. "What grounds do you have to say that?"

"No matter the case, we'll know once we go to the hospital." He reached towards me, trying to pull me along. "If my deduction is correct, you need treatment."

I pointed at myself in disbelief, then at him. "Are you being serious right now? Are we really going to the hospital?"

He nodded, but as he was about to reach me, I dodged to one side. Was he really that much of a workaholic that he thought everyone he laid his eyes on was sick?

Turning around, I made a mad dash out of the house. I wasn't going to just stand there and let him drag me to the hospital, after all.

My legs were shaky as I climbed out the car. Vincent tried to support me, but I slapped his hand away."Your medicine…""Didn't you just do it with me?" I snapped. "If I'm sick, then you're sick too!" "Can you stop with the tantrum, Odette?!" Vincent asked, anxiety palpable in his tone. "Now that we know what the problem is, all that's left is to cure it! Why must you resist?""Fine, let's say I go with it. What are you going to do about it?" I asked mockingly. "Are you planning on force-feeding me medicine?" "Well, am I supposed to just watch you ruin yourself?" "What if that's what I want, huh?"I dragged him to my closet, pulling it open and showing him my clothes. "Look, do you see any colors other than black and white?"Vincent didn't seem to understand what I was getting at, so I roughly shoved aside those clothes, showing a hidden compartment within. In a second, bright, vibrant colors flooded my vision."This is who I truly am, Vincent! I love it when I'm the center

Just as I was opening the door to leave, Vincent stopped me from where he was sitting on the couch. "Where are you going, this late at night?"I turned back and saw him holding a cup of water, staring at me unblinkingly.I gave him a soft smile. "To a little gathering, that's all." He seemed to have more to say, but I walked out and shut the door before he had the chance to. The moment I stepped out, I took off my heavy coat, revealing my skimpy camisole and hotpants. As I walked down the stairs, I felt a heated gaze coming from above. Scoffing internally, I flicked my hair and got into the car that would take me to the cabaret. When I was almost there, I deftly pulled out a mask and put it on my face. The moment I stepped out of the car, excited screams filled my ears. Some people whistled at me, and I walked up to them, allowing their gazes to consume me.Who in the world would have guessed that I, the woman who was well-known for being obedient to a fault, was the star of t

When I arrived at remedial classes, there were still children who weren't present yet. I took the chance to tie my hair up in a bun at the toilet, before changing into an everyday white t-shirt and jeans. Then, I adjusted my expression in the mirror until it seemed gentle and kind enough."Miss Odette, you look so pretty today!" A boy praised me while lying in my lap, and I leaned down to ruffle his head with a gentle smile. Then, I turned to look at the pure gazes of the children, affixed on me, before raising my finger and pressing it on a key. "Alright, let's begin."During a short rest, I went outside to fetch some water, and the man from last night was watching me from a distance. His gaze was so brazen that even my colleague realized, and the guitar teacher walked towards me and blocked me from view, before leaning down and asking, "Is that man your new prey?"I didn't grace him with a reply, only tipping the water I'd just fetched slightly towards him. He didn't budge, how

Because of that man, I decided to stop teaching this remedial class. I hated it when men mixed the identities between my day and night, because it made this much more difficult for me. I even stopped going to the cabaret, too. That man must have managed to get my contact number from the person in charge of the remedial classes, and he continued to message and call me in a frenzy. "Where are you? Why did you leave!""Do you have someone else?""I should've killed you ages ago! Is leaving men so hard for you?"I didn't really care much as he flooded my notifications with hate, but soon enough, he started to change gears, pleading with me to reply to him. He told me he was wrong, and said that he loved me. He even swore that he'd relent after I met him once, and that he'd never bother me again after that. That was the point where it stopped becoming entertaining for me, so I replied, "Sir, it's game over."After that, I plucked the chip out of my phone and snapped it in two before

Vincent stopped my hand from moving any further downwards, and I could tell from his expression that he was going to try and preach at me again. I hated it the most when he acted all holier than thou like that, so I shook his hand off and ripped his shirt open with one swoop."Odette!" Vicent glared at me in frustration, and I took the chance to flee back to my room while he was busy buttoning his shirt back up. Side note, he had a pretty nice body, to be completely honest. He had a thin layer of muscles, and I could tell just by looking that it felt nice to touch.I hummed a tune under my breath, taking off my clothes because I was sure that Vincent wouldn't come in after me. Just as I was about to change into a new set of clothes, the door was pushed open from the outside. Startled, I reflexively covered my chest and looked back. True enough, it was Vincent, staring at me with a steely expression.I took a moment to come back to my senses, before I took my hand off my chest, t

After leaving the house, I put on a pair of bright red high heels, before going to the nearest pub and sitting in the most eye-catching spot, slowly sipping on the drink I ordered."Miss, are you all alone?" Someone walked closer with a drink in hand, attracted by my physique. I smiled and made a show of clinking cups with him. "Sorry, I'm waiting for someone."That person cursed under his breath and rolled his eyes at me before leaving. Who was he to do that, anyway? Had he seen himself in the mirror lately?Pointing my middle finger at him internally, my eyes scanned the bar, looking for a target. I was already close to finishing my drink, yet I hadn't found anyone suitable just yet. I took another sip of my drink in frustration, feeling my heart thumping rapidly in my chest.I really despised the feeling of sleeping with the same person twice. Other than the guitar teacher I met at work, I had only ever slept with my other lays once.At the thought of the guitar teacher, I re

Damn it.I tugged at my hair in frustration, hating myself for losing control like that in front of Vincent. In the past, I'd always seduce men to make the first move no matter how much I desired it, but I'd embarrassingly stick myself onto him.Though, if I really thought about it, it was his fault in the first place for stopping me from going out for such a long time!Walking out of my room, I saw him sitting on the sofa."Come on," he stood up and faced me. "Let's go buy groceries."I was going to refuse, but then I realized I might have a chance to find a new target if I went out with him, so I agreed. At the supermarket, Vincent kept on brushing against me here and there. Before my legs could go weak, I kicked him in the shin and made distance between us. "Are you busy tomorrow?"Without a single thought, I replied, "Yeah."Revelling in his surprised reaction, I smiled.
