Chapter Hundred and two

I kept quiet and allowed her to express herself through yelling and cursing. “You should be leaving" she finally calmed down and pointed at the door. I got up from my seat and tried to hold her hands but she moved away. “Honestly, I wish I could do something to fix all this. I never wanted all of this" I almost broke down. Madison's rejection purged my emotions.

As soon as those words left my mouth, her expression softened. She stared at me and fell back to the sofa. "Why aren't you at work? “ She asked, coldly. I took a seat beside her without her permission and answered her. "I don't know what to do. It is more like I am in space. Everything feels strange” I explained. "I asked for an assistant but mom kicked against it” I concluded.
