I got to the office and tried to take my mind off Damien and it worked. It has been a while since I was at work hence I had loads of paperwork waiting for me. I switched on my computer and started work immediately. It was almost mid day before Madison came to the office. She opened the door and was shocked to see me. “Hey….. hi I thought you wouldn't be at work “ she stuttered.

I looked at her and returned my attention to the files in front of me. " You came really early to work ma'am “ I said, without looking away from the files in front of me. Madison sat down on the chair in front of me and apologized. I sensed something wrong but I couldn't place my head around it. “I am sorry ma'am, I overslept and I almost forgot about work. I have been feeling weak lately" she sighed.

I nodded and handed her the files containing new clients and their orders. “See that it gets delivered" I sounded almost like an order. Madison nodded and walked out. My phone beeped an hour later
