Chapter Hundred and Forty four

Raymond’s explanation was a ray of sunshine. It was the first instance that made sense. “The only doubt now is if she is doing this alone or she is with her son” Raymond spoke my mind. I wasn’t surprised at all, we had been together for years, hence it is always easy for us to think alike. I nodded in agreement and leaned fully on the chair I sat as my mind had started to settle down.

“That can be arranged!. He will be here, we will find out” I said with confidence. Raymond and Albert sat on the couch as we waited for Tony. I played with my pen on the desk, impatiently as we watched the wall clock at intervals. Forty minutes later, Tony knocked at the door. Raymond got up and opened the door for him. Cole walked in, Tony followed and Raymond locked the door.

Cole looked around the study like he was lost and finally looked at me. “Good evening Mr Damien, am I in trouble?” He asked, looking at Albert, Raymond and Tony who intimidated him. I chuckled and pointed to the seat
