Erica's POV

I stood at my mirror staring at the white dress I had on, with my makeup lightly done, and my hair packed to one side. I was beautiful on the outside but was a total wretch on the inside.

I had some point wishes at some point, I was the bride. I can't believe how my decision was about to change my life either for the better or the worst.

My mind drifted to the first time I saw Damian in my room back in the university, we had a connection. I knew he was always going to be the one that made my heart mad or merry. I knew he was always going to be that fire that I will gladly be consumed in.

I thought of how many troubles we have been together and the years we have spent apart. I can't believe this whole dumb idea came from me.

I heard a car horn from outside my apartment as I worked to the window to go see who it was. The driver came down from the car and I recognized him as one of Damian's drivers. He was the same man that drove me t

Two weeks later Erica's POV We came back from my father's funeral, and there were lots of guests in the house. The funeral reception was held at the beach. There were so many people trooping in and out of the compound. I was only familiar with a handful of them, most of them came through Damian. • Damian Anderson   Chapter 1

Erica I am a seventeen year only child living with my parents. Sometimes I wish I had siblings to play with, fight, or get angry with, but you know what they say, 'wishes aren't horses' I love my parents so much and can't trade them for anything in the world. They have made a lot of sacrifices and commitments to see that I was where I am today. Dad works as a sales representative at a superstore called Lulu Bells, and just recently he was promoted to the position of sales manager. My mum works as a freelance makeup artist. We are not what you call rich, but we are not poor either. We are always contented with whatever we can lay our hands-on. Mum got pregnant with me when she was in high school, which resulted in her dropping out. My dad never got into high school because his parent couldn't afford it. He assisted his dad to work on a neighbo

Erica's POV It was a long ride but we finally arrived at Franstar college. It was a very big school filled with students from all works of life. Campus life is a different world of its own. As I scanned through the various buildings and artworks that littered across the campus. My Dad got a spot to park his car and we all alighted. Beatrice's Dad had a last-minute appointment which he could not afford to miss, so he pleaded with my Dad to take Beatrice with us. Having Beatrice with me in the car was fun. We talked about lots of things from childhood experiences, to high school, career opportunities, dreams, and aspirations. The ride would have been boring without her. Franstar University is one of the best and biggest and best universities in the city. It is attended by both the rich and the poor kids. You can tell by the fleet of cars parked by the students. O

Erica pov As I walked back to my room, I couldn't help but wonder all I just heard about Sophia and her stepbrother. Hopefully, I don't ever get to see them making out in our room. The fact that Sophia is even attracted to her stepbrother is even more disgusting, an abomination! What a weird family! I got to my room feeling exhausted from all that I had done for the day. I was tempted to hit my bed and call it a night already, but I needed to shower and change into my nightwear. Sophia had still not come back from where we went to. And the thought of her possibly smooching her stepbrother crossed my mind. Disgusting! Erica, it's not your business, yeah I know. I took off my sneakers, a white chiffon top, followed by the blue high waist jeans. Then I tied a pink towel across my chest. I went into the bathroom to take a long

  • Damian Anderson   Chapter 4

Erica's POV It's been three weeks since resumption, I was still trying to get myself familiar with the school environment. I have been unable to make more friends aside from Beatrice. Most guys in my class only want to date me and the girls don't seem to like me at all. It's been difficult trying to stay in the good books of my roommate, as I have been trying to avoid her gorgeous breathtaking stepbrother. I have never really fancied any guy since I became a teen as I do for him, since our first encounter, I can't seem to get him off my mind. Not that I plan on throwing myself on him though, but I sure do like him a lot. This day I take extra time to make myself beautiful. I even bought a few dresses from the mall recently. I guess college has influenced me a lot after all. It's a beautiful Saturday evening as I take a walk around the campus. I wore

  • Damian Anderson   Chapter 5

Damian's POVWe got to my room where I quickly but carefully placed her on the bed, while Lucas quickly gets the first aid kits. I normally keep a few medical supplies in my apartment as recommended by Lucas. As the student union president, I have had situations where injured students were brought down to my apartment instead of the school clinic. Some were done purely out of panic and others mainly for attention purposes. It was a few minutes of chaos, but Lucas did all he could to handle the situation. I left them to go catch my breath in the sitting room. I was so tired from carrying her from the field to my room. She has beautiful spotless skin, so soft and delicate just as I have imagined it. She smelled like strawberries and wild roses. The picture of her in her pink towel flashed through my mind again, the way the water rolled by her skin, her lips looking soft and edible. Her wet dark and long

  • Damian Anderson   Chapter 53

Erica's POV With just two days to the wedding, I was starting to grow cold feet over the decisions I made weeks ago. I had gone home to drop Alex with my parents and decided to spend some time with them. Cassandra has been acting up and I seriously wish that she doesn't show up for the wedding, that she should stick with the original plan. It would break my heart to see Damian be separated from me again. "Hey pumpkin" dad called from where he was seated to get my attention. "Yes dad" I answered rolling my eyes. I wonder why he still calls me pumpkin, someone needs to tell him, I am a grown-ass woman now. "Have you seen this?" He asked pointing to the magazine he had been reading to me, I went closer to him to see what he was trying to show me. On getting there, I discovered it was the picture of Cassandra and Damian Photoshop together. I felt sad, Cassandra looked happy in the picture, what if she decides to go ahea

  • Damian Anderson   Chapter 52

Erica POV It's been two weeks since I resumed at the head office, working here has been a lot of fun, and If anything, I did not see my happy ending coming so soon, especially not in those days I was struggling between school, and baby, and work. It was a tough road, but I'm glad I finally found my happiness. I sat in my new office, going through some documents that has been placed on my table. The head office is different from my previous office, this one was larger and well equipped. The environment is nice and very comfortable to work in. My office is on the ninth floor, and I have just a handful of others here with me. I was told the tenth floor is for the CEO only and that no one is allowed in unless, of course, he authorizes it. My office is spacious and beautiful. I have a fridge that has different drinks and snacks, a comfortable space where I can take a nap, and a beautiful view from outside my window. I also have access to an official car that would be given to me anyti

  • Damian Anderson   Chapter 51

Cassandra's POV After the show, we sat down, counting our money backstage. the business has been very slow lately because people that come to the club these days hardly spend as they should. Big spenders do not come to locally owned clubs for their own safety sake, as there have been reports of extortion, robbing, and drugs being slipped into the customer's drink. So they rather go to big clubhouses, where they are assured of security and safety precautions. "What's up with you and Damian?" Sophia asked, after some time of watching me arrange my money. "Nothing much, he has found his girl and making plans to discard me soon," I said in a sad tone. "So after all these years, he still loves and wants her," Sophia said, a lot of envy is evidence in her tune. I have been friends with Sophia for close to five years now. We first met when she came as an escort with another Mafia Don that was killed by Gabriel. He then took possession of her and made her his whore. She told me of how

  • Damian Anderson   Chapter 50

Erica's POV "So what is going to happen now?" I asked after a long time of silence. Cassandra was sitting close to me, while Damian stood at the far end of the sitting room. We have been deliberating on how to handle the marriage issue between Damian and Cassandra. The press has gotten wind of it, and it was slowly becoming the talk of the town. I just sat down there feeling bad and guilty, because I somehow feel this was my fault. I mean, if I had just accepted Damian the first time we met, all these troubles won't be happening. "I'm so sorry guys, I did not know how this got out so fast," Cassandra said, sounding genuinely sorry, from her tone of voice. "It's alright Cassandra," Damian said as he walks towards us. "I should be the one saying sorry, I should have just told him it was a rumor when he called me, I am so confused, this is why I hate bringing press into my personal life, they have a way of escalating things," Damian

  • Damian Anderson   Chapter 49

Damian's POV "What is wrong with you? Are you trying to give my girl a heart attack?" I said, to Cassandra who started laughing hysterically. "You should see your face," Cassandra said referring to Erica, who seem lost in what was happening around her. "What's going on?" Erica asked still looking confused. "It was all a setup," I said looking at her puzzled face. "I don't understand," Erica said. "Well your baby daddy figured out, you were too proud to admit that you loved him so he used me to try to get to you," Cassandra said amidst laughter. Flashed back scenes.
