I followed Kade into the house, the door clicking shut behind us. The air inside was cool and carried a faint scent of coffee and something distinctly masculine. Kade led the way to the living room, his movements deliberate and controlled. I could sense his reluctance, but I wasn't going to let this go. Not now.

"Kade, you can't just brush this off," I insisted as we entered the room. "You have to tell me."
