KEIRA’s POV

I sat down at the small table in the restaurant's corner, relieved to have a break from my hectic college schedule. Across from me was Natasha, who was grinning as she scanned the menu.

"I think I am gonna go for the burger," she said, pointing to the menu. "What about you, Keira?"

"I think I will go for the salad," I said, glancing at the menu.

"How are classes going for you? I heard the business department has been having it hard lately," Natasha giggled.

I rolled my eyes. "Ugh, do not even get me started. My finance classes are killing me. How about you? How are your acting classes going?"

I noticed the way Natasha's eyes beamed at my question. Natasha has always dreamt of acting. Hence her aversion to taking up acting classes in college. I admired her for that because standing on a stage or in front of a camera to play a role was something I could not do, even if I took years to learn.

"They are going really well. I have been learning so much, and my professor thinks I

KEIRA's POVI was sitting in the back of the taxi, feeling the familiar jolt of anxiety as the driver weaved through the city's busy streets. I had never been this anxious to see my father. The thought of confronting him about the text message I had received from my wicked stepbrother was making my nerves jangle. As the taxi pulled up outside my father's office building, I took a deep breath and stepped out, my eyes never leaving the imposing building in front of me. The building had an impressive glass and steel structure with sharp lines and shiny surfaces. I entered the lobby and was greeted by a spacious interior with gleaming marble floors and towering pillars.Making my way over to the reception desk, I tried to put on a brave face, but my nerves were getting the best of me. The receptionist was new. She was a haughty-looking woman with a sharp bob and a frosty expression. I cleared my throat and spoke, "Excuse me, I am here to see Mr. Temple."The woman looked me up and down, h

KEIRA’s POVThe stifling silence surrounding my dad's office made it hard for me to breathe. My heart thumped in my chest, anticipating what he would say. My anticipation was also mixed with fear. What exactly was it that Calvin wanted? My father sighed heavily and leaned back in his chair. "Calvin wants the company, Keira. He is not even asking for a share. He wants the whole thing," he said. "He believes he is entitled to it because he is my son."I frowned. "But I thought you owned the company outright."My father nodded. "I do. But Calvin thinks he is to inherit every single piece of it.""Why?" I asked, feeling confused."Because he is my son," my father said. "And he thinks he is entitled to everything I have."I shook my head in disbelief. "That is not fair.""No, it is not," my father agreed. "But there is more to it than that. I am getting old, Keira. The investors in the company are starting to ask who my successor will be. They want to know who will take over when I retire.

KEIRA’s POV "I'll drive Papa," I suggested as we walked down the driveway.Papa was about to protest, but he shrugged and rummaged into his pocket for his keys."Alright,"I stepped towards the car door and tried to pull the door open, but it refused to budge."Oh, the car doors are locked. Let me," Papa offered and walked over to where I stood. He stood beside me, his arms brushing against my injured arm through the wooly sweater. I winced and jolted back in pain. Papa turned to me, his eyes filled with shock."What happened?" He questioned."Oh, i-it is nothing," I stuttered."Are you sure?"I nodded, and thankfully, he did not press further. As I settled in the driver's seat of Papa's car, my heart still thumped in my chest as I waited for him to sit beside me. I sighed as I pulled out of the driveway and onto the main road, with Papa sitting quietly beside me. He looked so frail and sickly, and I was glad he had finally agreed to go for a full-body check-up after much persuasion.

  • Daddy's Little Girl   Chapter 109: His Little Heiress

CLINT’s POVI sat at my desk, my mind preoccupied with thoughts of Keira. She had been going through a rough time lately with all the threats her stepbrother, Calvin, had sent her way. He tried to scare and intimidate her, but his motive was unclear. His tactics were clearly working, as Keira was always anxious and stressed out, and by God, I hated seeing her like this. What could I do to help her? As her therapist, I could ease her stress but not remove it altogether. I wished that I could shoulder all the burden she was carrying on her shoulders.I picked up the freshly brewed cup of coffee from my desk and took a sip, my mind delving deeper into my thoughts. My receiver rang, interrupting my reverie as I was lost in thought.I pressed the button, and a feminine voice came from the speakers."Mr. Homer, Mr. Murray is here to see you. Do I let him in?"My mind and time had been fully occupied with Keira that I had forgotten the meeting I had scheduled with James. I let out an exasper

KEIRA’s POVWhen Clint invited me to his place, I jumped at the opportunity. We were both occupied with work and school and barely had time for each other. I walked into Clint's house, removed my coat, and placed it on the rack."Hey, why don't we eat dinner? I have this new recipe I would like to try. I hope you have enough groceries because-"Clint's large, bulky arms wrapped around my waist, and I felt my back rest against his steely chest."We can talk about food later. What I want to do right now," He whispered into my ear, "is to have you all to myself."His hot breath against my skin was already driving me mad. I spun around and wrapped my arms around his neck. Our eyes met, and the heat between our bodies began to build up."Then, I will serve myself on a platter, just for you," I cooed.A low, hungry growl escaped his lips, and before I could blink, his lips crashed on mine. He hungrily laced his tongue with mine, and his wet, liquid kiss drove my mind into a maelstrom. His

CLINT’s POVMy eyes cracked open as I felt the sun's warmth on my skin. My eyes registered the ceiling first until I slowly turned to my side and saw Keira sleeping soundly beside me. Her hair was sprawled on the pillow, and her face looked peaceful. I could not help but stare at her momentarily, admiring her beauty.Keira was stunningly beautiful, with a face that could launch a thousand ships. Her lips were plump and pink, and I loved the way they looked when she smiled. But what really caught my attention was her body. She was curvy in all the right places, and her skin looked smooth and soft.Since it was the weekend, I planned to take Keira to the park on a surprise date. After a long week of unending problems, I wanted Keira to relax and let loose.I slowly reached out to trace the outline of her face, feeling the warmth of her skin against my fingertips. KEIRA’s POVI slammed the door shut behind me, feeling a sense of regret wash over me. Clint's invitation was tempting, and I would have jumped at it before he even asked, but my promise to Natasha kept ringing in my head.I was barely at home most of the time, and she had asked that we eat dinner together, seeing as it had been a long time since we had done that. I let out a sigh and removed my bag from my shoulder. As I approached the living room, I heard Natasha's voice booming from the living room."Oh yeah! Do not forget to take some pictures and bring some souvenirs back with you," she giggled. She sounded rather giddy. Who on earth was she talking to? Had she gotten a boyfriend or something?"Alright, I will talk to you later, Brendon."My heart skipped a beat. Brendon? Was she talking to Brendon?I walked into the living room, and Natasha paused. She had been roaming in front of the couch with a phone to her ear. The bright smile on her face died down, and the phone slid down

I wish you could have followed me back to my place, though.""Hmm, why?""Is that not obvious? I wanted to ravish your body. CLINTI went owl-eyed as I stared at Martha, who gave me an unreadable look. As I looked at her, a mixture of anger and frustration surged within me. I couldn't believe she had followed me to the shop, invading the private and joyful moment I had been savouring.Or maybe I was starting to get used to this, Martha and showing up to ruin things as though she hadn't ruined enough things for me already. After ruining more than five years of my life, I was more than certain that she was sent straight from Hades to steal any chance of happiness that I could get. It's not like I was going to let her, though.I watched as her eyes trailed to the bag in my hand, and before I could react, she spoke with a bitter tone, "So, you came here to shop for a ring. I guess you're serious about getting married to that woman."I gritted my teeth to maintain my composure, but her words stung like a sharp knife. "Martha, this is none of your business," I said firmly, my voice laced with irritation. She di

KEIRA As I slowly opened my eyes, a wave of pain washed over me, centred in my head. My vision was hazy, but as it cleared, I realised I was back in the beach house, lying in a bed. CLINTEven though I had been able to give Keira three orgasms from when we left the restaurant, I knew that we still had to talk, and the look on my little girl's face was the only confirmation that I needed. Damn Martha. The dimly lit bar provided a somber backdrop to the tension that hung between us. As we sipped our wine in silence, the weight of unspoken words weighed heavily on my heart. It was Keira who broke the stillness, her voice soft and hesitant."What's going on, Clint?" she asked, her eyes searching mine for answers.I took a deep breath, knowing I couldn't keep the truth from her any longer. "Martha has been sending me texts," I admitted, my voice tinged with discomfort. "She said she missed me and wanted to talk."If I had my way, I would keep it from Keira so that she would not have to worry about something as trivial as Martha's annoying feelings. But since it had come to this, there was no hiding anything again. Without a word, I pulled out my phone and showed he

KEIRA"I should not be doing this," I mumbled to myself as I got out of the cab and then covered the remaining distance by foot. My heart pounded in my chest as I stood outside, pacing anxiously around Clint's car. His abrupt departure from the house had taken me by surprise, and something inside me urged me to follow him. I was tired of him hiding things from me, tired of feeling left in the dark. Especially when it felt like something that would affect both of us. Instinct took over, and without a second thought, I walked towards the restaurant he had driven to. Through the glass window, I saw him seated with a woman, her face all too familiar – his ex-wife, Martha, nothing prepared me for this and the sight hit me like a dagger to the heart. My heart clenched tightly and I took a deep breath to relieve the pain that was slamming at me from every part of my body. Was Martha the reason why he had been acting all weird? What was going on between them? I watched as they converse
