Found My Mr Right

CALLUM:

" Hey Mary " I say and wave to her as a smile finds its way to my face.

" Hi Callum " she says and smiles back at me before walking out of the school. I tried to hold the papers I was carrying well as I walked again. I'm the president of the school student council and I'm very good at what I do. I balance the A4 papers as I enter the music hall, I could hear the students singing. How I missed school during the summer. I didn't actually spend a boring summer. Its never boring at home with all the fun and everything, infact my summer was eventful.

As I walk further into the school I'm greeted by another sight.

" Hey Callum " Dave calls and I smile at him

" Hi Dave, how was your summer break " I ask him

" Well it was pretty cool thanks " he says.

" That's great then. See you later " I say and walk away

" Yeah Callum " I heard him call after me, the smile still on my face as I greet a few more people in the hallways. Why are people early to school today, its not even 8:30 yet.

I try to balance the A4 papers I was carrying well again. Whoever said A4 papers weren't heavy Lied because if you have more then one thousand stacks in your hand you will know they are not all that light.

I greet a few more people as I walk on. Yes I'm very popular, just because I'm a president of the student council doesn't mean I'm a nerd. I'm very cool instead, sure I'm polite and smart but definitely not a nerd.

These papers are damn heavy people. can't you help me because I'm actually dying here.

" Oh hey Richy " I say, Richy is short for Richard. He is in charge of the daily announcement and is also the school mascot.

" Hi Cally. You are here pretty early. " He says and smirks.

Well Richard has a soft spot for me. He has asked me out twice now. Not that he isn't handsome because he really is but I'm looking for sparks, the kind you get in movies.

" Yeah need to set things up " I say and he nods his head. " you ? " I ask

" I think I gained extra weight during the summer. I want to do some work out so I signed up in the school gym " He says his gray eyes dancing with excitement

" Okay then don't let me keep you waiting then. I got to go too " I say

" See you later callum " He says flashes me a grin before jogging away.

" Yeah " I mutter before I finally get to the room for the president of the student council and that happens to be me. I push open the door with my leg because my hands are you know, occupied. I see Shawn with the back facing me.

" Hey you " I say and grin

" Oh hi Cal " He says recognising my voice. He turned around to look at me. " woah that must be heavy. Let me help you " he says.

Finally one normal person. My hands are killing me.

He collects them from me and puts them on the table and I breathe a breath of relieve before stretching my arm muscles.

" Thanks Shawn " I say and he gives me a polite smile. Shawn is my assistant and he helps me a lot and together we make certain rules. He also makes awesome coffee plus he is pretty useful. He wants to study international relations at Cambridge you if you must know he is very smart. And not smart cool like me but smart kind of boring. But I like him, he is like a brother to me.

" You are welcome cal. How was your summer ? " He asks me as I walk to my table across the room and sit down. I rub my temples and close my eyes.

I'm fucking tired...

" Well it was awesome. I went sky diving and trust me it was very relaxing and fun. You should try it " I say and open my eyes to see his chocolate brown eyes looking at me. I could tell he was paying attention.

" Well I will never know how that feels. You know how I get when I am in very tall buildings not to talk of jumping out of a plane. No " He says and nods his head in disapproval. See boring.

" Well you know you have to face your fears one day. " I say

" When I get married " He says and I chuckle.

" How was yours ? " I ask him.

" Well I joined a book club and I also learned how to play the clarinet. " He says and smile.

" Hope you had fun " I say

" Yep the best " He says and I grin as I stare at the window leading to the principal's office. I could see her talking to someone. A boy to be precise. He was wearing a grey beanie and looking down as he fiddled with his fingers.

" Who is he ? " I ask Shawn, still staring at the guy

" Oh him. He is a new student. He got accepted today " He says and I smile

" He is all yours Cal " He adds and chuckles.

" Thank you " I mutter and get up from my seat.

I make my way to Ms Brahms door and knock. She is thirty two with brown short Bob and pretty brown eyes. I don't know how she scored the job at this young age but I respect her.

" Come in " She says

I straighten my black belt over my short tight blue gown before opening the door. I move in and close the door silently before facing a beautiful woman.

" Ms Dove " Ms Brahms calls and smiles.

Are you lost ?. Don't worry let me fill you in. Yes my name is callum but my first name Dove. My name is weird because both my first and last name means the same thing. Callum means Dove too. My mum named me by the first bird she saw when she gave birth to me. It means purity.

My dad knocked up my mum during their third year in the university and she got pregnant . she told him, he left, she never saw him again. She raised me with the help of her mother, my grandma patty. She makes the best chocolate chip cookies. Talking about it makes me crave it.

Five years after I was born mum figured out she was bi and she met Loretta, my second mother now and they clicked and there was sparks. They got married two years later and we adopted a pit bull named Cody. We are a family of five. Me, my mums, my grandma and Cody.

" Good morning Ms Brahms. How was your summer ? " I ask her.

" It was memorable. I tried that dating app you talked about and I met frank " She says and waves her left hand to me on which I see a ring on her fourth finger. I gasp

" Congratulations Ms Brahms " I gushed out and smile.

" Why thank you Callum. How was your summer ? " She asks as she arranges a few books on her table.

" It was fun filled and very memorable " I say quickly with my eyes constantly glancing towards the guy who wouldn't raise his head up. I'm more curious now,

Are you a robot mister?

" Callum this is Liam, Liam Scott, " She says.

Scott, is that British I spot, it had better be

" He is a new student and I was going to call Shawn to show him around the school and also to his first class but you are here now and I'm sure he'd like that its not Shawn later " She says and smiles. I get her hint really fast because you know Shawn will just bore him to death with book club memberships and how he first met his pet plank.

" Oh yes I'm free Ms Brahms and I would love to show the new student around " I say and raise my head with a smile.

I really want to see his face. Curiously is eating me up alive here. Is he handsome?

" Then its settled then. I will see you later at the meeting Callum and bring your awesome ideas alongside " She says and moves to the door.

" Then I won't disappoint you " I say and smile.

" Mr Scott. I will see you around " She says and he gives her a polite nod and she leaves the room.

I'm beginning to think you are mute Mr British Liam Scott.

I walk towards Liam and when I get to him, I stretch my hand down to him for a handshake

" Hi, I'm callum Dove, the president of the student body council of the school and I'm at your service. " I say and beam.

He grabs my hands for the handshake and instantly I flush, his hand is warm and I just felt the sparks. I have always wanted the kind of sparks mum had when she met Lori,  that's why I haven't bothered with dating.

There was this time my mums thought I was a lesbian and started talking to me about embracing my sexuality but I'm completely straight guys don't be scared. I was looking for the sparks and I think i found it

He holds my hands and then looks up. My breathe stop , I think I'm having a heart attack as I am met with the most beautiful green eyes I have ever seen. Even more beautiful than Lori's.

I'm sorry mum but you have to see him.

" I'm Liam, nice to meet you Callum " He says and gives me a forced smile. That was a beautiful forced smile.

Kill me he has the British accent.

" Okay let me show you around Lee. " I say. " can I call you Lee ? " I ask

" Yeah sure " He says awkwardly.

" Lets go then " I say and move to the door to open it. I could hear him so I know he was right behind me.

I turn abruptly and I gasp as I am faced with his broad chest, few feet's away from my head. He is towering above me with I think a 6'4 or a 6'3. His chocolate brown hair is falling out of his beanie in beautiful curls.
