The funeral service for the Duffals did not take place at the Duffal residence and was carried out directly at the Seattle Church for various reasons. The police in charge of the case argued that the Duffal family's funeral service would attract the interest of civil society as well as journalists, so it was better to hold the funeral at the Seattle church and hold social gathering for the Duffal family's friends or relatives at their mansion after the funeral was over.
