I wanted to be left alone, badly. I knew that Helen and Melanie had no good intentions for coming to tell me these things and so I was not going to let them get in my head.

I rolled my eyes.

"I did not say that. I just said that l am not the Lycan king who killed him. You wanted me to get mated to someone that I didn't even like. Was I not supposed to stand up for myself? Am I puppet? I'm supposed to say yes and just do whatever you're asking me to? I am sorry but I am not the person I was in the past. I have changed a lot since then.
