It was already 3 am when Elizabeth and Valtor noticed that the twins are not around. They looked at each other, they're talking through their minds not to catch attention to the whole coven.
Even though that Elizabeth is busy talking with the other witches, she manages to communicate with her husband. The party is still going and everyone is busy with their businesses.
“Where did the twins go?”
“I don't know, I can't sense them in the area.”
“Valtor, wish that the two didn't go to the village and they haven't gone far yet and we need to be careful not to make the whole coven worry about this.”
Valtor thinks of a way on how to find the twins for he knows that the two will be in trouble or worse the root of it. He knows that they're the twins of massive troubles. At first, he tries to link with their minds but it seems like they are far from his range that even his ability can't reach them.
“I can't find them within the coven's radius.”
“Ask someone to find them at the village immediately before everyone will find out what's happening.” Elizabeth's voice in their minds seems to be impatient. She knows that the twins are capable of doing worse than doing better.
The parents can't be blamed for thinking much about them, how the twins ended up being called the “twins of massive trouble” they always break rules, being hard-headed and most of the time attracted to different misfortunes. But still, manage to become independent beings. Elizabeth wished that her kids will be careful not to make too much exposure to using magic anywhere they are.
Valtor asked one of his top mages to visit the nearby village to look for the twins. The warlock immediately went to the village in search of the twins.
Meanwhile, a sudden strange feeling began to make goosebumps to Valtor. It is the same thing when something might happen terribly. He knows that intruders are coming from the forest moving their way to the mansion. Valtor alerted Elizabeth that checked the outdoors. She was shocked to see a group of knights marching on their way to the coven. It was an ambush attack. She immediately returns inside and warned everyone.
“All of you, please evacuate!” Elizabeth shouted out of fear. Her voice echoed around the ballroom where the party occurs. The vibrant atmosphere began to change into terror and fear. Murmurs began to fill the place as if they were bees buzzing around.
Valtor moved his hand through the air, a cloud of white smoke came out of his hand and blurry images showed up giving them visions of what is going on outside the mansion.
The knights were moving slowly and at the same time being careful not to make any sound. Each one of them holding a weapon together with a torch but they doesn't have any idea that the whole coven is watching them from the inside.
At first the coven panicked from what they saw but Valtor told them to calm down and find a way to survive. Elizabeth recommended a plan—a tactical way to escape with no trace.
Everyone inside was busy chanting teleportation spells with the use of magic circles to accommodate a group to escape from the place. Once a magic circle being activated by spells, the words together with the individuals inside it will glow and will be a move to the opposite distant point of the circle where they can be safe and secure.
Out of ten groups, it gradually moves to eight to six to three and now there is only one group left, the Mavens. They were deliberating about the one who will stay in the mansion to get rid of the knights.
“Valtor, Elizabeth, allow me to stay. I know you're doubting my capabilities as a mage but I can handle them all by myself.”
Morgana knows how this will end if one of the twins' parents stays in the mansion. It will be the end of their lives or their enemy's. She doesn't want it to happen, so she decided to stay and ask the two to leave.
At first, they didn't allow her to stay, but she insisted. If Morgana voices a word she will stand and stick to it no matter what.
“Are you sure you can handle this all by yourself, sister?” Valtor asked. They can sense the worry in his voice.
“I made my own decision, I assure you both that I will follow you once I get rid of them.” Morgana is determined by her answer but half of her wanted to surrender. It is not only Valtor and Elizabeth who's been asking about her skills but even Morgana is questioning herself too.
“If that so, we'll leave now but promise us that you'll come after once you finish this mess.” Elizabeth embraced her husband's sister wrapping her arms around her body as if it will be the last second of their lives.
Valtor immediately creates a magic circle and casts a spell on it. Elizabeth entered the circle as they were glowing, a sign that they were being transported by the circle.
Morgana watched the two slowly fading away after casting a teleportation spell. She made a bittersweet smile while bidding her goodbye.
She's not so sure that she can make it. She hides her true potential in magic for a very long time after the war between mages and non-mages ended after the agreement. She promised not to use it again to harm anyone but now knowing that she's in a critical situation, she will break her principle, and she knows that the humans break the rules first. At this moment she will find out if she can still battle using her techniques.
“I hope this will not be bloody.” She blew a deep sigh while preparing for attacks that anytime soon will be possible.
She heard the glass windows bursts as the burning arrows were fired up to the mansion one by one. The fire gradually spreads to the carpets, furniture, and even the ceiling. Smoke and flames started to dominate the place.
Outside the mansion, the knights were quite sure that they are winning. They even shout and laugh as they mercilessly destroy the place.
“Sir, I think we need to make sure that there's no one can escape from us. I can't imagine that this is somewhat easy to defeat the whole covenant of mages.”
“Are you questioning my capacity?” Sir Cedrick smirked as he rests his sword on the knight's chest. It was unexpected that the knight didn't anticipate Sir Cedrick's lunge and being stabbed. He removed his beautifully crafted sword from the knight's body. Before he loses his breath he spits up blood with his damaged body slowly hitting the ground.
The other knights from nearby looked at their captain as he killed one of them. They instantly change their pace as he moved his eyes towards them.
“Clear the whole area, we're going to leave once we made sure we killed each one of them,” He shouted.
They immediately scattered from the place to check if there's a trace of a mage breathing to eliminate. As the mansion started to fall from being burned the knights moved inside to check if there's no one alive but they were in shock to see nothing. No mages, no bodies, no deaths.
They told their captain what they just saw. Sir Cedrick's eyes widened as he heard the news.
“I regret belittling their capabilities,” Sir Cedrick said while cleaning his blade.
He can't believe that the mages tricked them. It was supposed to be an ambush but it seems that the mages are too intellectual cause they even knew their planned attack.
Sir Cedrick started to walk away from the mansion, the knights followed him. The place was as hot as the summer breeze. The fire is slowly wiping out the whole mansion leaving nothing but ashes.
“The party's starting, why leave so fast?”
The moment they heard a woman voice stepped out of nowhere revealing herself, they get alarmed and formed a defensive formation.
“Long time no see, Morgana.” He immediately throws a spear right to Morgana's position expecting she can't dodge it but Morgana vanishes from her place leaving black smoke gradually fading in the air. She appeared right at the back of the captain.
“Sorry but I don't miss you, my dear Cedrick,” she whispered.
The captain instantly pulled his blade and lunge it to Morgana's stomach. The blood rapidly flows from her wounds causing her to shout out of pain.
“Looks like you're rusting,” Sir Cedrick said while laughing. The knights captured injured, Morgana. She tried to resist them but they're strong enough for her.
“Let go of me!”
“No, the king would be glad if we're going to bring your head to him if you don't tell me where the other mages are.” Sir Cedrick pulled her hair.
“Even if I die I won't tell you!” She grinned as she sprayed her saliva on the Captain's face. He didn't expect that and out of anger, he slapped Morgana. Her smile didn't fade away even though the impact of his hand on her face made a loud sound.
One of the knights kicked her and the next one did the same thing as they all did. There is still a wide curve of her lips as if she doesn't feel anything.
“You're tougher than I expected.”
He was about to pull his sword but Morgana disappears. They were careful as they use their senses to know where did Morgana go.
One of the knights shouted in pain as the blood drools out of his sliced limbs. They know it was Morgana. The other two didn't make a sound as their heads been ripped off from their necks.
Sir Cedrick's eyes widely opened as he saw his knights being slaughtered one by one. The place was flooded with blood and dead bodies. Until there are only two left, he and the other knight who managed not to be killed.
Morgana came out in between the two with her body covered with blood from her victims. The knight was about to strike her with his spear but it was too late for him. Morgana already pulls off his heart with her bare hands.
“I was disappointed, Cedrick...” She started to walk to the captain's position.
“Why you didn't kill me if you have some chance? That's one of the biggest mistakes you've done!” She laughed insanely.
He was about to attack her but she puts her wand right to his forehead.
“Audi vocem meam...” He calmed down the moment Morgana sing a song through her lovely voice.
“...Tantum in voce...” His eyes turned lifeless.
“...Vos es iam in mea potestate...” Now he's down on his knees, bowing to Morgana.
“...Non potes expellere,” Morgana smirked as she finishes the spell.
Now the captain is under her control. The captain chins up to Morgana as he said.
“What can I do, my lady?” That was what she is waiting for to assure that the spell worked with him.
“Tell the king that the whole coven has been defeated. It was a bloody battle and you're the only one who survived.” The knight bowed down as he rides on his horse and slowly running away fading into the woods.
The smile on Morgana's face began to disappear as it was changed into a serious psychotic stare.
“I hope the twins will find this note.” She uses a spell to create a hidden message embarked on a stone near the wrecked mansion that's still burning. After casting the spell she looked in the direction where the human castle is located.
“The King breaks the rule, now the war started between humans and mages. This will be more bloody and looks like fate doesn't seem to be good for both races.”
The twins don't have any idea where to begin their quest to find their parents and also the whole coven. The message only says the name of the place but not the exact location where the coven is. “Falla, what does Silva Insaniae means?” Talon said while irritably removing some vines clinging to his hair. He's clueless why they're walking in the middle of a dense and dark forest. But he's only sure about one thing, that Falla knows what her doing. “I'll report this to mom and dad. Seriously Talon? How come you don't know about it?” Falla rolled her eyes as she aggressively cleared clumps of twigs and bushes that's been blocking her way. “It means Forrest of Madness and that's where we heading.” Talon grunts after slipping off from a mud track. Orange hues of clouds are visible in the afternoon skies. As the sun comes down meeting its end, two loud kids filled the whole forest with their unending arguments. After failing their last exam from their auntie it gives them the thought that their parents will be disappointed in them or even burn them to death. “Do you think our parents will forgive and won't try to kill us after we failed the last exam?” Even Falla knows the answer in the first place which she hopes the outcome would be the opposite she still asked her twin, Talon. “Well, as a positive one, no,” Talon said sarcastically. “Ha-ha, what's with the positive one then saying “no” eventually? Do you think it's helpful, Talon?” H

Talon is afraid that if Lily finds out what is he truly is, she will going to look at him in a different way far from the fairy she's referring to. That thought leaves him questioning his whole existence. They shouldn't create ties nor bond with normal people for it's a high order from the council of magic together with the non-mages. A law that prohibits mages to visit normals and they should stay in their territory the same as the normal ones. “It's not what you think I am, Lily.” Talon started to walk away from Lily but she stopped him holding his left hand. Where are you going?” Talon looked into her eyes, he knows that she will be going to tell him something so he waited for her mouth to utter words. At the castle, everything seems to be fine and blooming as the king received good news from the newly arrived knight, Sir Cedrick. Sir Cedrick arrived at the castle with his wounded limbs and broken armory. “Yes, M'lord. The coven is finally defeated.” The King rejoiced as he received the good news. A wide smile was displayed on his face as a sign of triumph. After a hundred years of battling with the mages, they finally got the land with no magic left. For they believe that those who use magic deal with evil and darkness. “Why you're alone?
