Hazel's Point Of View:

As I sat in my room with a novel in my hand, I ran my eyes through the content.

Though I was looking right at the book and reading the words, none of the words actually sank in. I would just read through and in the next second, I would forget what I read.

My mind was with Damian all along even though the head elder asked me to have some rest. She knew I was straining myself so that was the only advice she could give me.

I was reluctant, but I had to listen to her as I knew my health was also at stake and Damian wouldn't love me to stress myself and his baby.

I tried focusing more on the book, but I just couldn't bring myself to. How would I focus when my mate was in pain?
