Hazel's Point Of View:

They all trooped out of the room. Pain reverberated through me and I swear I felt my heart beating in my left eye that was barely opened.

I barely heard, everything was faint and blurry, the only thing I could hear clearly was my pounding heartbeat.

“Don't lay a finger on them. Let them leave and let's watch what they can dare do next time. Let them dare if they dare.” Alex shouted as he pressed his head back. I assumed he was speaking to his men who were probably in the living room.

“You can leave!" He shouted again. “They're weaklings, that was quite a waste of time for us!".

He then came to where I was lying seemingly lifeless.
