JASMINE'S POV
I asked myself if I truly care about Christopher being alive or not.I truly did not care, I just wanted to keep my brother alive, and I was done with being anyone's tool.I stood up and decided to just wear my night clothes again. I had to see Christopher about my brother and know what he had in mind. Then I'd know how to plan the sorry excuse I had for a life. The mansion was a lot wider than I expected. The room I shared with Christopher was placed on the top floor, and I had to go down the stairs if I wanted anything. With my night wear barely clinging to my body, I made my way hastily to the kitchen.I knew I should have worn something but after realising what the clock said, I had no time to waste. He had already seen me naked, so there was no use covering, and trying to look all beautiful and all that."Come on Jasmine, hurry those legs up." I muttered to myself. Finally, the steps came to an end, and I quickly darted around the corner. However, the moment I realised what was going, I froze and let out a gasp. There he was, sitting at the far end of the table but he wasn't alone. The table was surrounded by a circle of guests, men and women alike. They were so engrossed in their conversation that they didn't notice my presence, something I was grateful to God for.I didn't want to make a fool of myself. It seemed like my gasp alerted Christopher and he looked up from what he had been doing, his dark blue eyes staring intensely at me while a frown appeared on his face. His eyes moved from the top of my body to my feet, trying to understand why I had come out of my room dressed in such a ridiculous manner.I guessed that was his thought anyways as it was also what I asked myself.I was about to say something but his loud voice interrupted me."Stop the meeting." He uttered in such a commanding tone that I felt shaken but the feeling quickly passed by.Christopher stood up from his chair, and he wasn't done talking, "If anyone takes a look back, that's the end of their miserable life.""How rude." I mouthed when I heard his statement, why would you treat your own employees like that?Christopher walked straight to me, and I looked behind him to see if anyone would disobey his words but not a single human turned back.My eyes moved back to Christopher as he advanced towards me in heavy steps, his eyes boring into mine with a steely glare. He gripped my arm fiercely and yanked me away from the scene and into the kitchen."What are you doing here, and dressed like that?" His husky voice flowed into my ears, and somehow, it annoyed me."I wanted to come see you. I didn't know you'd have guests. It wasn't my fault, you didn't inform me." I said immediately, creating a counter that he wouldn't know how to go around.I miscalculated. Christopher's hand was still on mine and he pulled me closer to his body, pressing me against him."Let me go."I struggled fiercely, but his hold tightened on me."You have no right to push the blame on me. You are lucky I'm in a good mood today or I'd have made sure you were punished for what you did."Christopher said in a low tone. His breath affecting my face.It smelled of mints, and huskiness."Let me go right now, or I'd scream out rape."Maybe the threat wasn't the best, but I had no choice.I hated being too close to someone I had just met.Yes, even if we had sex. I still cherished my space."Get away from me, Christopher." My eyes had a stern look.I was being stubborn but he was pissing me off with his all knowing look and prideful expression. He couldn't control me.Another miscalculation.A gasp escaped my lips when I felt his lips on mine, knocking the breath out of me.His hand went to cup my left breast, and it was then I realised that he could actually control me.He really could turn me to whatever he wanted and my traitor body would let him do it.My hands formed fists against his chest trying desperately to push him away. However, instead of stopping, his hands moved further down into my shorts, and my breath hitched as his fingers grazed the folds of my inner organs.I stilled much to my discomfort but to his satisfaction."You know I can have you right here, right now. The moment you signed that contract, you became mine. Mine to own, Mine to punish, Mine to waste. All of you belong to me." Christopher said in a breath, and brought his lips down on me again. It wasn't until I was starting to get dizzy from lack of breath, and it felt like my lungs wanted to burst that he released me."Do not test me, Jasmine."Christopher released his hold on me, and without the balance, I fell to the ground.Dazed and discombobulated."What just happened?" The question appeared in my head, and I watched as Christopher exited the kitchen like nothing just happened."Maybe signing this contract wasn't my best idea. "I murmured in an act of self realisation, and picked myself from the floor."Curse that little son of a..."This wasn't what I had in mind, someone who could end the life of his employees, and even threaten me.If I belonged to him for thirteen months, it meant that he could do anything with me, even kill me, and nothing would happen.I had to get out of here. I'd look for other ways to help my brother. Collecting a loan from my brother would be nice. The contract couldn't be terminated till after thirteen months, I read it among the clause, and I still signed the contract. It didn't matter anymore, I was going to change everything.I took a single look at Christopher as I rushed up the stairs, he was too occupied in his work to notice me.He looked very tired, not like I cared. I just had other things in my head, and the first of which I was going to complete as soon as I step into my room.I rushed into the bathroom, and took a well deserved grooming. I couldn't look deadly while on the run.I gathered all the material, linens, sheets, and clothes that I could find and tied them all together before letting them out the window. It was in times like this that being an assassin truly came in handy. The coast was clear, I had gotten ready for my escape and pushed myself out the window. It was a very huge mansion so I wouldn't advise any sane human to try this at home. I was never sane.As I was about to make my escape, the door to the room flew open."Jasmine!" I heard Christopher's angry voice. Raw anger that caused goosebumps on my skin but I didn't care.I was going to leave this stupid deal whether he wanted it or not, and nothing was going to stop me or that was what I thought.I knew this was a stupid idea, I couldn't run from both a billionaire and a blown out assassination organization but I was going to try. I wouldn't just sit down and watch them take over my life.Christopher's voice erupted from the other room, it seemed like he was calling his guards. I didn't care, a few kicks and punches, and I'd be free. In that moment, I was too engrossed in my thinking, and I slipped from the blanket. "This was it, Jasmine. You are going to meet such a sad end." I said in the moment of final defeat. My voice vanished, preventing me from yelling. Why did falling take such a long time? I fell into a sturdy pair of arms. That was fast. "You are selfish." Christopher's voice floated into my ears. He was right. I could easily treat my brother by staying in such a relationship but I wanted to run away and take the easy way out. "I'm sorry." I muttered to him. "Sorry, Jasmine, isn't going to cut it. You are going to be punished." He said to me, sending shiv
"Is that blood?" Ria's eyes widened as she stared at her friend's cheek when she walked through the door."Don't worry. It's not mine." Jasmine walked past her friend and went over to the kitchen sink. She opened the faucet and splashed water on her face, washing off the red tint of the blood on her face. Jasmine checked her phone, saw that she received the money alert for completing her job, and immediately transferred the money to the hospital responsible for her little brother's heart treatment.Soon, the news stations would announce the news. "Is that supposed to reassure me?!" Ria couldn't stop herself from freaking out. She and Jasmine were best friends and roommates. Well, sort of. It was Jasmine's place two years ago, but now they both share the payment of the rent. They were like sisters, and they understood everything about each other."Calm down. It was just a minor mistake that caused the mess on my face." Jasmine had a smile on her face. She always loved it when Ria a

CHAPTER 3: GETTING MARRIED"What?" Jasmine couldn't believe her ears. Christopher Elton had asked her to marry him. Christopher Elton was the world's most eligible bachelor and the youngest billionaire ever known. He was sitting in front of her and asking her to marry him. "I want us to get married." Christopher leaned closer and repeated his statement. "I'm not getting married to a stranger. " Jasmine was about to stand up when she realized she had nothing on her as she was under the bed.She saw Christopher's smirk as she tried to cover herself."It's not like I haven't seen it before. You are beautiful." Her cheeks burned at his words, and she could feel anger boiling within her. "How can you even suggest such a thing to someone you just met? What happened last night was a mistake, a horrible mistake!" Jasmine shot back, her voice filled with a hint of frustration and desperation.Christopher wasn't used to not getting what he wanted, she was the quickest way for him to get his
JASMINE'S POV.I looked at the screen of my phone. This was the biggest decision of my life, and I knew that there was no going back after this. If I sent in my location right now, Christopher would have every right to claim me.I didn't even know what was in that contract, apart from being his wife for thirteen months.I typed in the address, and sent it."Don't worry Jass. You are doing it for him." I murmured trying to tell myself I was doing this for the right purpose. My heart ached as I thought about what my father had done to my brother, and I.We didn't deserve this but he was blinded by that disgusting wife of his.My organization was useless, and it was the exact reason I just wanted to leave but it wasn't that easy.I took in a large gulp of air trying desperately to calm myself. It was just thirteen months, and I had to give him a child."Wait." JASMINE'S POVThe night wind blew through the open windows of the room. He deserved to be punched in his face. My eyes quickly adjusted to the darkness in the room, it was one of my perks after assassinating a lot of people in the middle of the night. After minutes, my eyes would grow accustomed to the lack of light, giving me the chance to slit open the throats of my targets. It was a moment of pure adrenaline, and with time, I had come to relish in it. My hands trembled under the blanket, not because of the cold but because of the slight discomfort that came with murdering humans like myself.Although my mind was immune, my body still reacted
