EP 6 CHAPTER 24

EMBERLYN WOLFSONG

I am sweating profusely and panting hard as I look around me with wide eyes, gripping hard against the bedspread. The room I am looking at right now is neatly furnished anciently. The walls are wooden, and everything around makes it visibly known that I am sitting in a building that is entirely made out of wood.

A candle is deposited at a table, which is standing at the far corner of the room, holding the light that is illuminating the entire area where I am currently occupying. I look outside the window to see total darkness, and this makes me know that the night has descended, and it is no longer daytime.

I take a deep breath, first of all, to calm down from the intrusive fear that seems to have destroyed my entire nerves and turned me into a stage of utter disarray.

“What the hell.” I think to myself, and then wipe the beads of sweat dripping down my forehead. I pull away lose strands of red hair sticking to my face and try to brush them away from my eyes
