The instructor, Mr. Thane Blackwood, folds his hand in front of the class and looks at me with omnipotent rage, which I know is capable of sending me to the detention room—a place I have always feared entering—without permission. EMBERLYN WOLFSONGI can not seem to open my mouth to speak, so I just keep tapping against my table and pointing my fingers at my book. This is very embarrassing. It is among the most awkward situations I have ever encountered. I am unable to respond to that query. I can now just think of a response and give it to him. I am at a loss for words. Right now, I am annoyed with everything. Everything is palpable to me. I feel their eyes on me. Everyone is looking at me expectantly, but I know that most of them are not waiting for a response from me, and they are content to see what happens as a result. I close my eyes and inhale deeply. I can tell she is not paying attention in class because of the way she is currently looking ahead of her. She has other ideas in her head. She seems bothered by it, based on the expression on her face. Based on my actions, it appears that I have communicated to her that I am a rude person.
