Three days passed, and there was no body switch. Amira and Rhys mostly remained by each other’s side, just in case. More rumours spread about how the Alpha King seemed lovestruck by the alluring and beautiful Amira. Servants and nobles gossiped about the pair spending most of their time together.

Rhys held Amira’s hand whenever they were strolling through the corridors. Again, Amira was distrustful and suspicious of the act because she noticed how others would see their hand-holding and whispering among themselves. But whenever they were alone, nothing else seemed to matter.

It was mostly Rhys working and asking Amira for advice on issues within the kingdom. He listened to her and even followed through with some of her ideas. Even if Rhys was using her, Amira didn’t mind at that point. Power was never Amira’s end goal; she just wanted justice and a fairer world than the one she’d grown up in.
