Chapter Seventy Four

Zirah's POV

Noah has been avoiding me for some days, and I was tired of it so I went looking for him.

Being here already made me so uncomfortable, if he wasn't fine with me staying, the least he could have the decency to say it to my face.

After checking his office, the training room, the woods, and the gardens and not finding him anywhere I decided to give up my search, feeling deflated.

As I passed by, I spied the guard and I perked up after getting the genius idea to ask him.

"Hey, have you seen Noah?"

I asked the ever-unsmiling guard stationed outside the entrance.

He jumped a bit as if surprised that I spoke to him before composing himself, folding his body into his former position.

"No, ma'am." I wait for him to expatriate but after a couple of seconds of his stony silence, I realized that was all he was going to say.

Just 'No'.

Nevertheless, I tried not to be discouraged.

"Do you know where he is?"

I turn towards him trying to get him to look at me.

"I don't know ma'am."
