Orla's POV

Today is the day for the results to be distributed. I am glad I passed the exam. I was a little worried because I didn't take help of Angus this time. I prepared for the exam on my own and was fortunate to pass it.

I, too, am eighteen years old now. My father, as usual, threw a big party. But I wasn't overjoyed. First, because I hadn't yet accomplished my life's purpose, and second, because of Angus. He was at home this time. He tried to surprise me, but I ruined it for him because I found out about it beforehand and I didn't want anything from him. He was hurt because he did all those preparations for me and I just ruined everything for him but I couldn't help. I still couldn't shrug away from the scene of him confessing his love for that girl. And he is still not ready to open his mouth to tell me the truth.

My father has realized that there is something wrong between us, so he no longer forces me to be with him all the time.
