Chapter 36: Figuring Things Alone

I touched my face, and I was wet, ‘why am I crying?’ I turned my back and started walking out of his territory. ‘I’m on my own now.’

And I should know what I want to do. Maybe the moon goddess was trying to prove to me that I was not meant to be a servant. That dreaming to be a leashed dog was up to no good. I kept falling into the wrong situation, which I would always regret because I wasn’t doing what I want.

Then what do I want? What am I?

I started running to an endless path. I did not know where to go; all I know was that I could be anywhere I want. I could survive being a rouge. Determine to make a change in my life. I should start doing things that I would never forget.

I must meet Kylo, I stopped and turned back tracing the way to his pack. I slowed down when I heard them in commotion.

“She killed my husband, Alpha. I can never forgive her!” Before I could hide, they saw me.

I looked down at the blanket, it was a white thin sheet and I was in a comfortable bed. “Good to know you are awake.” And all of a sudden she was already standing beside the bed. “What am I doing here?” “First, you haven’t answered how you found my house, second you’re not safe out there and third I need a hand and I think you can help me.” She walked slowly yet she talked fast with that groggy voice. “And why would I do that?” “Because I am offering you a home, and I am kind enough so you should not decline.” A new home was not a bad idea. The only bad thing was she tried to poison me. “Meet me downstairs, I prepared breakfast for you.” And she vanished in the air. I went down and found her at her small dining table. “Now tell me why you are here and where you are from.” She demanded. “I came from the

Those two knew what will happen if they try to turn someone. While Zild was the youngest among them.” “Aren’t they related?” She turned to me and shook her head lightly. “Every immortal does not consider anyone their family. Once you were born one, you’re on your own. And those three were hundred years apart. Let’s just say, those two were wise enough to choose their battles to be able to live until now.” She talked a lot, good thing all of them were interesting. “And what will happen to me?” “You still have your wolf; you have a fifty percent chance of living fine. That was what kept Zild safe despite him being immortal. While those two were pure ones.” I nodded and tried to sink every piece of information in my head. “Did that mean those two were stronger and had the toughest battles than Zild?” “No, I don’t think so. They have

Chapter 39: Little TortureReading those tales made me wonder, what was true in that tale? The first book named “The Last Immortal” was about Gael who fell in love with the moon goddess. His hard work and perseverance were to be able to capture that goddess’s heart. It was written here that the moon goddess kept him alive with him. While the other book ‘The Tale of The Last Vampire.’ It was about Ryvan, the story was about his affair with the Alpha’s daughter, and the whole book was about how they fought for their love until his sudden disappearance. While Zild—“Aren’t you going to come down and eat?” Her annoyed voice interrupted concentration. “I’m not hungry.” “Then come down and pretend you are hungry, at least respect that I prepared you a dinner.” I could imagine cringing her forehead and barely moving her lips while speaking. True enough I lost my inner wolf and immortality. I was able to sleep, and I felt weaker than usual. She might have lost her mind, how would I survive in this weak state, she put me at too much risk this way.“Get out,” I snorted. “This is my house.” I’d love to leave if you want. Return my inner wolf and immortality and you’d not see even my shadow. “You’re awake, now get up and breakfast is ready.” She vanished and did not even try hard to convince me. I pushed my blanket down and saw the blinding light of the sun outside. “You wish,” I closed my eyes again and bury my face in the pillow. My eyes flew open when I felt air pushing me up. My eyes widen when I realized I was already floating. I screamed at the top of my lungs, “Marieta!” I floated down and I saw him casually eat

Chapter 41: Daily Routine I had my backpack on while running into the woods. Before sunrise, I was required to run around her territory for two purposes, to make sure no one was lurking around and to torture me. Good thing I felt better every day, I could roam around without passing out. I still felt slow but I learn to appreciate the beauty around the place while running. The threat, I still see no threat. ‘Until Zild comes to get you,’ I was still wondering what she meant by that. How would Zild come to get me when he was caged in his house? I wiped my sweats on my neck off. “You’re here, start watering my plants.” I went straight to her backyard and find her exotic sensitive plants to water. I started watering all of it while humming gracefully. I knew she was taking advantage of my stage here. I did not mind lending a hand in her place. Her place was lovely and peaceful, she may greet me with an annoyed face, and I could feel her warmth towards me. I wonder, how much t

I felt relief hearing him said that. “Then try not to crash me,” I jumped into his arms and hugged him tight. I was skin was colder than before. I missed him, didn’t I? I turned my back and headed to the forest to find something to feed that snake. Or maybe I could fight it. I stopped and considered the thought I could fight the snake. I looked at it and my eyes almost dropped when it caught a fly in a blink. Faster than I thought. That snake must be venomous, I should not let it see me. I tried hard not to make any noise to attract its attention. After walking to find something to feed it, I found nothing near the falls. Then I heard footsteps. I run to where it was coming from and saw a man, he was carrying a katana on his back. Probably a hunter. I could try my luck. “Hello?” I waved my hand when she turned to me. I just wanted to see him again. To hold him again. I was filled with pain and anger brought me to that situation. I was blinded by their accusation that Zild only used me. I let them taint him. I was doing things that I thought served them right for betraying me. And it was too late for me to realize that I went too far. I lost him before my eyes. “I could not bring back the dead. You wanted him to die.” I couldn’t say I did not mean it or any excuses for my actions. I was losing my hope, but I looked up to her and kneeled. “Then take my life so I can be with him.” It was desperate, I know. But I knew I would not be able to live like this. He had red fur and stood with power. He growled harder than Lavelle did, and his voice was filled with power. His power was recognized by the werewolves. He was a direct descendant of the Royal Alpha. Zild stood up carrying his mate and anger was visible in his eyes. “You have no right to do that ritual anymore!” He said and Minerva walked closer. “We have no choice! She had cause—” “Leave!” She flinched when he snapped at her like that. “You can’t handle her—” “Are you saying I cannot handle my mate, Minerva?” She looked around and she knew that they could not fight against them. Countless spells flicker from their wands and Lavelle easily repelled at once. “It was a mistake that you stepped into my territory.” Some started to fall because of the heavy force that surrounds them. I let them down again. “Is that how you really fight, Queen?” One of my men shouted. “It was nothing back when I saw you fight against King.” My eyes widen when I heard that. I fought against Zild? I hide my emotion and did not show I was confused. When did I fight him? “You are truly a disappointment,” Argon said and dropped Jane carelessly. “I wanted to play with you but you’ve killed a valuable ally, so I need to punish you.” He said and got his katana. Jane tried to stand up but he already point his katana at her. “You can’t do that,”“I can! I can, Lavelle. In fact, I can cut every one of you one by one. You may kill every werewolf here. I wanted to stay with you, please, I’m begging you, let me stay with you. I can keep my distance, so you’d not feel unsafe. Let me fight with you, Queen Lavelle.’ Why was she begging?‘Why?’ ‘I don’t know, I was ashamed of what I have done. But I hear selfishly asking for forgiveness as if it was that easy. I was never trusted as you did. I was never believed as you did. No one ever looked at me like you did. You made me feel like it was alright to act as who I am around you. Please let me stay.’ I looked away and continued fixing my sleeve. ‘Do as you like,’ She bowed her head and stepped back before turning to leave. I did not know how to react. He cleared to me that he would help but not visibly my comrade. “How could you.” I stared at him, and he only had a stone expression. “I cannot believe I trusted a wizard like you,” I said and it was followed by a triumphant laugh of Kylo. As expected by Argon, he was still doubting Radian.“Bring him here, you fail, and I’ll kill you.” He said which made Kylo stop. “Come on, Argon. He’s just a boy with efficient ability.
