Flashback continues…
He was there. The exiled vampire King, Lucifer, had been there watching. It was like watching history repeat itself, but it was much more entertaining that it was the royal family that was breaking such laws that had got him and his family banished from the kingdom. Lucifer saw Ophelia crying, begging for the life of her baby to be spared, yet the mercy wasn’t granted. “It’s such a pity that she’s going to die,” Azriel appeared out of the blue, standing beside his father, Lucifer and watching what was happening from afar with an amused grin on his face. “What are you doing out here, Azriel?” Lucifer asked without looking at him. But when he did, his other son, Eros, Azriel’s twin was by his side with his signature stoic face. Azriel and Eros were twins, identical to be exact and the only surviving children of his that had survived the rebellion that had happened in the palace, when he tried changing the law that took the lives of their mother and sister. A rebellion led by his right hand man and trusted friend, High lord, Ambrose. As if taking the throne wasn’t enough from him, he killed his wife and daughter. Now karma was taking place by putting his own daughter, Ophelia in the same position he was two hundred years ago. What shocked Lucifer most, was the part where all this was happening yet there was no sign of Ambrose coming to save his child. He loved his throne more than righting the wrong he had down. “We need to leave.” Lucifer told his sons. He didn’t find any pleasure watching an innocent life being taken away in front of him. He was not a good man, but he had an extent to his madness. He should be happy that it was Ambrose’s blood that was about to be killed. But he felt nothing, rather all he could think about was the scream of his wife and child when they died in the fire that brought the palace down. “Why? The fun is about to start.” Eros said, not bothering to walk away from the scene. If anything, he should have been the one doing the honors by killing the high lord's daughter. Lucifer glared at Eros. He didn’t want him going as far as doing anything rash to reveal his identity, no, their identity. Since everyone believed that they were dead. Moreover, Eros was a special being that shouldn’t casually roam around, the circumstances surrounding his birth had kept him alive and well to protect him and his brother. Unlike Azriel , Eros was born special. The royal seer talked about a prophecy. His child being the wager that will bring peace to the vampire, were wolves and the human realm. As long as he avoids the cursed one. Of course, Eros has no idea that there was a such prophecy about him. Since that was Lucifer’s way of protecting him, and it has been working for years. “Aren’t you going to do something father, you seem to be oddly interested in the woman?” Azriel asked with a mischievous smirk plastered on his face. Lucifer glared at him while he laughed, unlike Eros who knew what Ambrose did to their mother and sister. He was the only person that was kept in the dark about their dark history. So, he had misjudged his father being here as him being interested in Ophelia. “No,I’m not.”He replied with a snap. “Okay, fine, I believe you.” Azriel laughed, but paused briefly before turning serious. “But father, how is it possible that her child carries such fate? No vampire has been able to…” “You tell me son, the high lord is a mysterious man don’t you think?” Lucifer laughed, trying to change the topic. While Eros did nothing but looked at his father, then towards his brother, feeling bad for lying to his brother. “That child will die regardless of the blood running through her veins.” Lucifer said. “That’s cruel, what if we save her father?” Azriel suggested, earning a crazed look from his brother and father. He had no idea why the talk about the Royal family irked the both of them. “That’s enough,Azriel!” Eros snapped at his younger brother. “So, you are just going to let her die?” The young vampire didn’t give up. Unlike Eros, who was cruel and had no heart. He’s the one who took after his mothers kindness. When he got no reply from his father and brother, he teleported himself out of their sickening presence. Not seeing the need to watch the barbaric act that was being carried out on an innocent life. “I will take care of him.” Eros told his father, preparing to leave to find Azriel only to be stopped by his father’s next words. “I need her alive.” Lucifer said, not believing that he’s the one saying this. Eros looked at him as if he had lost his mind. “Why? If I recall right, you shouldn’t be helping, no, they deserve to die for what they did to us.” “I have my reasons.” Lucifer said, trying to block him from reading his mind. He didn’t want Eros to find out that this has to do with the prophecy surrounding his birth. “Father..” “Eros, I need that child alive at all costs!” He yelled. His eyes turned red, for him to see how serious he was. “This is the last time I’m doing this.” Eros grunted in annoyance and disappeared, but not without hearing his father whisper. “If only you knew,” Eros knew that his father was keeping something from him, but this wasn’t the time or place to ask him what it is, he has a pathetic vampire to save. He pushed the thoughts aside, and ran as fast as he could and pushed Micheal aside when he raised his hand to finish Ophelia off. “What are you…” Micheal said, standing up to look at an unfamiliar face that thought it was wise to interrupt him. It was a vampire. He smirked. “I can’t let you kill her, but i will give you the chance to run for your life, wolf.” Eros said, coming to stand defensively in front of Ophelia, who was losing strength. But that was until her first contraction hit her and she cried out. The baby is coming. He wasn’t in the mood to fight, especially with a werewolf. The real enemy is Lord Ambrose. Micheal bursted out laughing. “Did Ambrose set you up for this? I should have known that he couldn’t allow his precious daughter to die. But i must warn you to stay away from her if you want to live.” Micheal said hurriedly, there was no more time. The baby is about to be born and this was his chance to stop it, had it not been for this stranger that was wasting his time. As he tried attacking first, Uriel used his last night to tackle him to the ground before yelling at Eros. “Save her please!” Eros was confused. He was here for the baby and not for Ambrose’s daughter. But just to be on the safe side since his father needed the child alive, he took Ophelia into his arms and ran. He heard Micheal’s angry but he didn’t look back until he found an empty inn by the roadside, and helped Ophelia to the floor. “My ba..by, you must save her. No matter what happens, please..save my baby!” Ophelia cried, holding onto Eros who has no clue how to deliver a baby. Where the hell is his father? He wondered. He didn’t know how he felt hearing her plead for him to save her child, when all his life he had only lived with one mission and that was to pay back for what her father had done to his family. The next contraction hit Ophelia, before her cries died down and nothing was heard from her anymore. Was she dead? He wondered until his eyes widened at the sight of the floor, which was soaked with blood and something lying on the floor. A baby. He was shocked and moved away from her, is the child dead? Wasn’t it supposed to cry? Yet no sound was heard. He moved closer, fascination covering his face for witnessing something like this until he looked closer to the child, but what stood out completely about the child was something else. The mark. The red mark that was right in the center of her plan, just like he had these when he was born. His father had him hiding his own with makeup without telling him anything. He picked the baby up carefully, and looked closely to see that it was a girl but she wasn’t breathing. Bloody hands held his elbow which made him yelp in shock when he saw Ophelia looking back at him. “Please save my..baby. Save..Seraphina.” She said lastly before the light died in her eyes and he pulled away from her, she left him with a dead baby. What was he going to tell his father? But that wasn’t his problem. He was much more intrigued to know why this child was like him, she has the same mark like him so that makes them even. Although, he couldn’t feel any energy source coming from her, to prove what they said about her being dangerous. But they were wrong. She’s just a normal vampire. No, a hybrid. “Ophelia!” He heard Michael’s voice and knew that he had found them. That only means that Uriel is dead. “I know you are somewhere in there, Vampire. I will spare you if you hand over the woman and the baby. I promise.” Micheal chuckled at his last statement. “It’s of no use, Ophelia. Uriel is dead, I killed him.” He added. “Now, I’m going to kill you, your baby and you all are going to be one big family in hell.” Eros looked at the child, she was breathing abnormally. He touched her chest, she is..dying. It hurt him because he didn’t want her dead, he wanted an answer as to what she is, what they are! Which left him with no other choice than to do what he hasn’t done before, he bit open one of his fingers, before placing his bloody finger on her lips for his blood to be let into her system. He chose to save her. Despite the fact that his blood was poisonous, nobody can take his blood but he didn’t consider that he might end up killing her. He reckoned that she is just like him. He cut himself on his palm where the mark was, and two silver orbs were present in his blood. He took one and placed the other inside her palm, while watching her wound close up. All he did was to save her. “I will come back for this, little one.” He muttered, watching his energy settle deep within her. An action he knew that he would regret, but the sudden giggle that left the baby’s lips, as her red eyes opened and looked right into his red ones made his heart skip. The devil never had a heart, but for her, it had a heartbeat. She’s a vampire. He realized what he had done, but it was too late to reverse his actions. Not that he wanted to anyway. In her red eyes, he saw it. He saw his own heaven. His beloved.Flashback continues…Micheal burst through the door of the inn only to find it devoid of any one’s presence, except the dead body of the high lord's daughter. There was no presence of the other vampire. He smiled in satisfaction when he saw Ophelia’s body, finally she could continue her wretched love story with Uriel in the next life. But the smile faded from his face when he looked down at her feet where the puddle of blood was, and a placenta. It took nothing for him to understand what had happened here. The child has been born.“N..no!” He said in disbelief, at the realization that he had been fooled. He dashed out of the inn and transformed in his wolf form, anger radiating off him and fear of losing his own life if this gets out that Ophelia’s child lives! He howled, alerting the park of what was happening, looking up at the blood red sky that had drastically changed form. The sign that the cursed child lives before he dashed out in a hunt for the child and the vampire. With her
“And i will always protect you, my love. But first, I need to find you.”Seraphina snapped her eyes open to connect with familiar gray walls, she was at the packs infirmary. The young lady wiped the tears that cornered at the side of her eyes, it always happens whenever she has that dream. It was reoccurring, yet, she couldn’t be able to see the face of the man that always haunt her drama, except from knowing his voice. She had gotten so used to his voice that even if she’s asleep, she would recognize that voice anywhere. She had no idea who he was, or what exactly he wanted from her . Everything seemed to be normal when she woke up from dreaming about him. Irrespective of the fact that it’s all a dream, but when she’s asleep she wishes that she gets lost in her dream.Seraphina had no idea if the man in her dream was her father, who knows? For the past few days, the thoughts about her parents weighed heavy on her mind, and what happened this morning that had her here in the infirmary
The loud blasting sound of music was heard in the club, as Eros swiftly moved through the bodies that covered his part of finding who he was here for tonight.Blood.Sweat.Sex.These three dangerous combination filled his nostrils, yet the hunger that he felt twenty years ago when he met her, was much stronger than what he was was feeling right now.Her scent. Her face. Her laugh. The moment her little baby finger wrapped around his hand, it felt as if his world stopped for a bit and it was just the both of them. The memory was still fresh in his mind, but it couldn't be helped that he was still thinking of her. It's been a twenty years since the last war that broke out between the three races, had incurred more losses than ever, but the good part of it all is the part where the rebel Royal vampire and his family was all taken care of.Well, except the child.Peace was finally restored after getting rid of her grandfather, and his evil minions who were the reason for his mother and
Rated-18!Before the day was over, Seraphina made her way back to her room to continue her chores, because no one was going to do it for her the more she stalled. The Luna, won’t take the excuse that she was at the infirmary, that’s the way things are over here.Thankfully, the medicine that Mrs.Sera gave her seemed to work, she barely could feel any pain at her sides or back anymore. All there was was only bruises which would take time to heal, she knew that since this is not the first time that she has had them. While she was busy sorting out the clothes to wash, Chloe’s cloth precisely based on their colour, she couldn't help but hear the snickers that came from behind her, at first, she thought that it had nothing to do to her, until she turned around to see who they were that was talking behind her back. She frozed at the sight of them, it was Cain and his boys, they are basically Chloe’s minions, who added to make her stay here uncomfortable. She could still recall the last time
“So, you mean to tell me that Choe had been abusing Seraphina all these while, and the marks on her body are proof of that?” Alpha Kane asked again, looking at Damien not believing his ears while he explained what he had seen outside to him.Apparently, Damein has taken the matter of Chloe staying behind to watch Cain attempt to rape Seraphina, so far that he had to report her to her father not thinking about the part that the both of them were childhood friends. He has always known Chloe to be violent but not to this extent, he was friends with Seraphina too before he had to leave the parkhouse to take his studies seriously. His father was the Greet Seer, whose father and Great grandfather had talked about the calamity that would befall all races, if the cursed son of the first Royal vampire gets together with the daughter of the fake royal family, a hybrid, who was cursed as a result of the circumstances surrounding her birth.Although, no one has any ideas about where she is, who
“What do you think is going on inside?” Azriel asked Eros, while they stood outside his office doors. They had come in to hear that he had important visitors.“It’s been hours and i still can’t hear anything.” Azriel whined when he wasn’t able to use his vampiric hearing to eavesdrop on their fathers room. After a good fifteen minutes added to the time that they had been standing outside. The door was finally opened, and the top shareholders and directors of the organization walked out of the room, before their fathers secretary came outside to let them know that they were finally summoned.“Father.” They both bowed to their father, who was sitting at the chair and looked at the both of them, while keeping his attention back on the phone he had close to his ears.“I apologize on behalf of him, it would be taken care of as soon as possible.” Lucifer Morningstar said, trying hard to control his temper, but his knuckles are tightly clenched which dragged both boys attention over to him
“I knew i shouldn’t have taken that wench in when your father carried her in here.” The luna fussed the moment it was just her and her daughter, Chloe, standing along the hallway. After Damien had ended up making the matter between Chloe and Seraphina a hot cake, that the alpha would have no other option than to make sure that he sees the case to the end.The luna,Margaret, knowing fully well what sort of person her daughter is, she knew that everything Damien has said was right, instead of correcting her daughter's mistake, she has condoned her ill behavior towards poor Seraphina.Afterall, Seraphina was nothing but an outsider, Chloe was the daughter of the alpha, the disrespect that came with constantly tagged a hater and evil because of her, was constant and she didn't want her to continue staying here anymore. She believed that Seraphina being here would always block Chloe from achieving everything great, since she’s so jealous of her daughter. So, which other way would Chloe tr
“I promise you, I’m going to find you!”Seraphina opened her eyes with a gasp, she looked around her surroundings to see that she was back at her room. She was still scared of being here after what Cain and his boys tried to do with her, which was all thanks to Chloe. It was the same dream again. But this time, it was more of the man in her dreams promising to find her. Her hands went for her necklace and when she felt it there, she calmed down and let out a breath that she didn't know that she was holding in all long. She sat up with a groan that left her lips, she could still feel little pains all over her body but it was now mild, rather than yesterday. Seraphina didn't know what she could have done had it been Damien hadn't intervened like that. She would have been a victim of rape. Surely, no one would have believed her word if she tried to tell anyone about it. Moreover, she heard from Mrs. Sera while she was administering treatments to her about Damien reporting the matter to t
The loud blasting sound of music in the club was heard, likewise the heavy scent of sweat, liquor and sex was high in the air, yet, Azriel, wasn’t enjoying his stay here which was unlike the famous party guru and Casanova who lived for the fun.His conversation with his family this evening hit him hard, he regret talking to his father and elder brother in that manner, but he, himself was angry at the both of them for always taking his words as that of a fool, whereas at the end of everything what he feared will later end up happening. It was the same twenty years ago, and yet it’s still repeating itself. He had never really liked his fathers counselor, Ambrose. But his father choose to believe a friend over what his own son tells him.Ambrose was a black snake in a green grass, always looking like he was chasing after the best interest of the king, yet behind the malicious smile on his face stood a cunny and a greedy man.The problem his father has is that he trusts so easily. Which w
“I can't do this, you need to tell him.” Ricca explained for the hundredth time, but her words are falling on deaf ears. Vlad paid her no heed, all he did was to carry out the duty that his father had ordered him to do, which was making sure that she was ready to leave for the outside world.Just now, he was done with lecturing her on what to do, as well as the type of women that surrounds the Morningstar brothers. Unfortunately, the cursed prince was rarely seen, so it was going to be difficult to get access to him. But the other time, Azriel was currently in a clubhouse not far from where they were, so he's going to be the stepping stone that Ricca will need in order to get to his brother.Eros was the one their master wanted. With lord Ambrose knowing everything about him, he will as well be getting updated about everything that goes on in his life, down to the point of knowing when exactly he’s going to meet his granddaughter, the other cursed hybrid. That's the main reason why t
The Seer walked inside his son's room late at night to see that he wasn’t in, since the moment that they had arrived here, and Seraphina left him, Damien has been finding it hard to adapt to the new change. He still had to go back to school next week but with the way he was behaving right now, his senses weren't coordinated, so, how exactly was he to focus on school?Well, him going back to school wasn’t the problem, The Seer knew exactly what Damien has been doing, and where he’s been going for the past few days that they arrived here. He thinks that nobody knew that he’s been sneaking out at night insearch of Seraphina. The first two days, he left him alone to do what he wanted to do, but any normal and sensible person will know that if Seraphina doesn’t want to be found, then there’s no way she will make any chance to be located. He could give it to her, she’s smart. This is her first time here yet she’s hanging on so fine, without bothering about the fact that her Godparents, espe
“I warned you about that detective, father. Now look at what it has caused you.” Azriel said, getting into it with his father. He didn’t care about the fact, that it was his father that was receiving hateful comments online about the news of Ambrose being alive circulating around the internet.Afterall, if he didn't trust that pathetic human, he wouldn't be in the situation that he was in right now. Moreover, seeing as the people were favoring the return of the second vampire king, Ambrose over him, it finally opened his eyes to the impossible reality if a peaceful realm between all these races.Their father was dreaming big, yet his dream was nothing but mere fantasy since everyone looked up to him as if he was the enemy here, well, why won’t they? They still haven’t forgiven him for the fact that he mated with a werewolf and gave two hybrid sons by his side. That alone was a threat to them, a threat to national peace since they were scared of what him and Eros will do, to bring har
“What do you think is going on?” Seraphina asked Lily, as they tried to enter the government office to get Seraphina registered as a certified citizen of the Great population. But the cue was too much, they were not given a number tag yet, as the hundredth position wasn’t still able to get inside the building. They were standing outside under the hot sun yet, everyone that passed by had their eyes glued on their phone, and chatting with their neighbors as if they were something else going on, that she and Lily didn’t know. “I don’t know, i have never seen such a cue before. Maybe the vampire king had issued a new law or something.” Lily said, as she tried to take a peep inside the building to know what exactly was going on, but she saw nothing but people and more people blocking the entrance. Upon hearing the vampire being mentioned, curiosity got the best of Seraphina, it was at that moment that she realized that she needed to be updated about who calls the shots around here. She
“Sir…“Lucifer’s secretary barged into his office, interrupting his meeting with a few of his clients, the look on his face told Lucifer that there was something wrong. Afterall, there’s no way Adam will intentionally ruin his meeting that he had been trying so hard to connect with the clients.Adam bowed at the clients before hurrying along to whisper something to Lucifer, his countenance changed instantly when he heard what Adam just told him.“Is everything okay, Mr.Morningstar.”One of the clients asked, the moment the tension in the room was noticed, with the way Lucifer was trying so hard to cover the worry and anxiety, with a smile on his face.“Everything is fine, Mr. Clover. I can assure you that. I just need to step aside for a few minutes.” Lucifer said, he didn't wait for his visitors to give him the consent to leave, well, he didn’t actually need their consent when he knew too well that they would wait even more than an hour just to get him back on that seat. But for the me
They killed her! They killed Damien! If there’s any fear that Chloe had towards the twins and their father, likewise the commander and every vampire out there, that had belittled them, and degraded them to the point that they were now slaves in their kingdom, she had lost them all. There was no need to be scared of them since they were all going to die. She might as well die now because she can’t do this anymore. She misses her mother so much . As if killing her wasn’t enough, she wasn’t allowed to see her to arrange her funeral preparations.Even if she is allowed to see her mothers dead body, there’s no way she will bury her in the Great population. She will definitely turn in her grave, but right now, Chloe had no idea where her mothers body was, and was too scared of pestering anyone about it, in fear that she might lose her father too if she does as much as to beg to be pitied again. Her father was still alive, but he was barely hanging on, she was sure that if the punishment con
“It’s been how many people already? Six? Five? Yet none of them can tell who this belongs to.” Eros said, trying as much as possible to keep calm and not lose his temper on the slaves that he was interrogating. The slaves from the Midnight packhouse. As much as he was doing this low key so as to not alert any of his fathers men, about the reason why he’s suddenly interrogating the slaves. He was forced to believe that they were all lying to him.Even when he did as much as to call Seraphina’s name, none of them had reacted like they knew anyone that was living among them with that name, or maybe they were pretending not to know her, yet they didn't act like they were pretending. They were scared of him. They are also scared of Azriel who was here with him, to keep him at bay in case he goes crazy on the slaves, since he won’t promise not to lose his mind if any of them comes in here with a negative report about his question. At some point, Azriel was forced to believe that maybe his b
It’s been a while since Detective Larry Hanks’s shenanigans were heard, it was simply because he was investigating undercover. After his encounter with Lucifer Morningstar, which had him on a chokehold as he’s trying so hard to defend every information that the vampire king had offered him, about a mutual enemy, the cursed vampire kings.Ambrose Lazàr.It’s annoying enough that the humans have to put up with Lucifer, and the other vampires trying as much as possible to make them know that the vampires are at the top of the foodstuffs. To add another self conceited vampire, that paid no homage to peace was like calling out an all out war, which will do the humans more harm than good if he doesn’t find this said vampire by himself. He didn’t go as much as to alert anyone on his crew about the new case that he was working on, hence the only person that knew about his dealings with Lucifer was Henry, and he had assigned Henry on a mission to gather information from his father, a top polit
