I kept pacing around in my room nervously, fiddling with the hem of my dupatta (scarf). Finally my husband is home after a long haul of an year. I only know how much I've awaited and prayed for this day in my life when I can finally see my husband, when I can finally hear his voice for the very first time...
I've never seen his whole face except for a few glances that I stole during our pheras (wedding ritual). I heard the screeching of tires making butterfly flutter in my stomach from the sheer nervousness of facing him.
I ran outside the servant's quarter with my anklets tinkling, rejoicing with me on my happy day.
I stood near the balcony peeking through the space between the vivid long drapes that hung in the entire palace. I hid behind the diaphanous curtain, the guards opened the massive gate for yuvraj Daksh as his posh black Rolls Royce smoothly rolled in the 'Singh palace'. My husband 'Daksh advait singh' is the yuvraj (Prince) of svamgarh, a prince who married a poor commoner!
My excitement was like a bottle of soda about to explode, too hard to contain it. I grinned in glee stealthily noticing his reflection on the limestone as he slid out of his vehicle. His coffee brown sunglasses sparkled blinding my eye for a second with it's sharp brightness..my hands flew on it's own accord to cover my eyes from the vigorous gleam.
I flickered my eyelids, tearing my hand away, slowly opening it to witness my yuvraj but my smile immediately evaporated in the thin air seeing a pretty lady sliding out from the adjacent seat. She quickly tangled her arms around his bulky arm as they stepped inside the palace, crushing my heart mercilessly...
So that's why he didn't came inside our room on our wedding day? That's why he left without telling his own wife that he's leaving the country? Why Daksh, why did you marry me if you loved someone else?! A lone tear trickled down my eyes as I turned towards the maid's quarter with heavy steps and a deceived wounded heart clenching with immense pain of betrayal. Couldn't you atleast keep the esteem of marriage vows that you took in front of the holy fire? Were they this meaningless?!!
'Saanvi!!', I heard the crisp voice of rani sa, my mother in law from the end of the corridor. 'Yes?', I instantly wiped those traitor tears twirling around, ready to face her wrath. 'Go and set the table for dinner. And don't appear with your ominous face when his girlfriend will be present in the dining hall, you get this servant?', I nodded, fresh lines of tears dampening my cheeks..
I'm Saanvi advait singh, a low class girl who married my prince charming, an actual prince but not everyone's story is fairytale, mine's not for sure...I never deserved his deception, hate, anger and disgust but I received this all as my wedding gift. I'm his wife but namesake wife and I'm nothing more than a servant of these giant four walls. And this is my love story build on pillars of hate, vageance and regrets!
A sinless beauty often lures the darkest devils, obscured in an overcast waiting to ravage on her scrumptious body...

'Ra-rani sa, please pardon my husband! I don't know where my ignoble son is. We a..are very poor!! I cannot pay the price of my son dishonoring your royal dignity..please pardon his j-job, I beg you please!!', sunita wailed crouching near her queen's feet, tears gushing out of her aged eyes.Never in her twenty five years of serving in this palace, she had encountered this furious form of Rani sa (Queen).'Get away woman!!! Who else will pay? Your run away son is missing!! Doesn't he thought about his parents before kidnapping my princess? I'll make sure you get no job anywhere in this country. Get off me, right away!!!', she kicked the woman with her pointed sandal causing minor wound to form on her forehead. She winced in pain writhing like a fish pulled out of water but continued begging bowing down in reverance. She couldn't afford getting kicked out of the palace, the only livelihood she had where she served the royal family for more than two decades. Because of the daring stunt
'Wait ma sa, can you handover your phone to Nandini. She isn't picking up my calls...',she was perturbed by his question. A cold bead trailed down the arch of her neck. What will she say now? A new wave of terror started creeping inside her heart paralyzing her every muscle...'She...she's gone to her friend Riddhi's house', she bit her tongue, barely able to lie. 'Where is her phone then?!', his voice turned cold as a freezer as if sensing something to be off.'There a...are wedding preparations going on in her hou..house so she might be assisting them. She's not your babysister anymore, stop c..''She's adult but not for me. She's still my babysister and she's answerable to me for everything!!', his steel voice boomed resounding in her quitetude chamber. She could hear her own pulse beating wildly in her ear, her erratic heart felt as if it would leap into the pit of her stomach. His icy voice sent jolts of shivers down her spine, how many and how much lie she'll have to utter to ge
The brightness of the sun scurried away the pursed gloominess reviving the very source of life, chirping of birds filled the quitetude atmosphere with their melodious symphony as their melliferous tweeting quivered the cords of the couple that was sleeping on the floor, aging lines more prominent in distress..'Sunita, when will my angel return back in her abode? My heart is feeling restless these days..!', the stressed croaky voice of Vijay reached his wife's ears who was busy making tea on a small gas stove. 'Uff..!! Why're you stressing so much on calling her home since last night? She has her exams till weekend! She can't come...and have you anticipated her reaction when she'll see us in this crumbling state?'Sunita's anxiousness led to a fright seeing her husband's body turning pale. She ran to her husband who keeled over in her arms. A thunder struck her senses as she stared at the lifeless body of her husband, his eyes open staring at the vast sky as he laid still, lifeless..
'His hypnotic gaze contained a divine and magnetic pull, shackling me to the hellish abyss, tempting, irresistible, frozen and dark, A sin he appeared yet I craved the passionto burn my very insides with the sweet poison, forbidden, incomsumable and deadly, yet the predator too desirous for the sinless in his captivity'9 days later..'How co..uld y..you hide the news o..of my fa..fathers death?!!',snivelled Saanvi miserably, crestfallen and betrayed, gnawing grief manacled her heart. She choked with tears unable to say anything further. She looked at sorrowful face of her mother with detest. 'He was not o..only you husband b..but my father too!!!', she screamed kicking the table in fury, her mother stayed silent, squatted across the dusty floor that she cares less of, her shoulders hunched in dolour and her face looked cold like marble.'Bh..bhaiya(brother), why didn't yo..you tell me?',abound tears fell and dissapeared in the shirt of his brother who hugged her sister tightly to
Vast strech of darkness filled the void with sly pearls shimmering arount the pale yellow crescent moon of the midnight sky gleaming in solitude, the crickets were silenced by the blowing breeze as it swishes through the branches, leaves rustling with slight tremor in peaceful murk. The barking of stray dogs broke the somnolence of Akhil who barely fell asleep after continuous twisting and turning on bed. His distressed sleep got disrupted by thier constant growling and woofing jarring his nerves, frustrated by the disruption he rose from his supine posture. His face was drenched in sweat due to the lack of aeration.in the packed claustrophobic volume.'You didn't sleep?', his stressed voice drew the attention of the girl reclined against the wall on the floor, eyes wide open yet hollow staring out of the window aimlessly without stirring from the crouched posture. She snapped out of the abyss of desolation, fixating her sorrowful brown orbs at his tensed face. 'I couldn't sleep', her
'Akhil, why only you'll be entitled as brother in law? Give me a chance too to serve your sister! My mother was right, torturing you would be a naive step. Since you're never gonna open your mouth, I'll never be able to find where my princess is hidden! But it'll lot be easier and profitable to open your sister's juicy legs to suck her sweet nectar and torture her everyday. How you'll die each day thinking about the pains your sister will go through! How she'll beg me to leave assaulting her body but would I? Why would I pardon her when you stole away my precious gem?', he smirked blowing the cigarette on Akhil's battered face who had no fragment of strength left to even flutter his eyelids open. They were closed, he being chained against chair in a dingy room with blood stains all over his clothes showing the barbarity of the beasts that didn't spare breaking his skull and ribs with a baseball bat after queen exited from the balcony. He looked moribund as if he's gonna die any second
Pellucid tears clouded my vision, I stood baffled at his Impassive behaviour. He was staring at me as I could feel his intense heated gaze boring holes in my side skull. 'Was my hold too strong? It wasn't intentional tho!', he whispered slightly inclining towards my shoulder, his warm breath tingled my neck as he spoke since he was positioned parallel to me.Am I thinking too much? Really? Is this how he normally hold hands? But he didn't said sorry for hurting me whether intentional or not. I apprehensively shook my head,'N..no'. Maybe he didn't wanted to hurt me..!'You're looking beautiful wifey!', I heard his low gruff voice sort of a hoarse whisper, his warm breath fanning my cheek as blood rushed to my face flushing it. I lowered my gaze, a tint of strawberry tainting my cheeks. We did the rituals together. During our pheras, I for the first time noticed how tall he is! Probably 6"3' to my 5"7', my height's not less but a lot smaller as compared to his height. But still I couldn
I was despondently heading towards the lounge area when I sensed someone's shadow, towering over my head, just behind me. I turned around and I felt as if my eyes are deceiving me. I finally beheld her face before departing. She was breathing heavily, gasping and all drenched in sweat, her hair all messy and sticking to her face as if she reached here, running a marathon. Being too overwhelmed and scared, I forgot to ask her permission and crashed her into me, tightly clutching her dainty body against my chest. And she too, complied by not pushing me away, this time. After a short while, she shifted a little, indicating to break the hug and I did, freeing her from my smothering hold. That's when I noticed the saree she was wearing, the one I wanted her to wear at the event but she had refused to accept anything from me. Typical she and her queen attitude, well I respect that attitude that's why I am alive.Taking one deep shaky breath, she started shouting or rather roaring at me, imp
I looked myself in the mirror. The red georgette saree perfectly hugged my curves. With fine intricate designs imprinted on the smooth fabric, the stud earrings overall made my appearance look extremely sophisticated, exquisite and maybe enticing? The event was not the only thing, I am getting ready for. There's something more that matters to me a lot, at least before I take any firm decision in my life and choose whether I live with my past or move on, completely. I haven't read the contents inside of the envelope but since our relationship hasn't completely dissolved in the way it should, I have decided to meet him in person and sort everything out. The one thing that always was always a negative aspect in our lives was the lack of proper and in depth conversation. It was always either an unfriendly and cold encounter or no words exchanged for days. This honestly requires a lot of courage for me to face him after not seeing him for so long, maybe an eternity, well that's an exagger
' His eyes held a divine pull, weirdly shackling me to his hold,Unchained I was physically yet captive in his dark world 'The following day,Saanvi's POV:I was about to end my shift when a familiar figure walked inside my cabin with a toddler in his arms. The one year old babygirl, Inaya, a lookalike of her father whom I met a week ago, inside the hospital premises. The encounter was quite unexpected and truth to be told, I went slightly anxious seeing him at my working hours. Since, after the court hearings, I haven't had any coincidence to meet or interact with him, eye to eye. The baby was much of a surprise to me.A beautiful surprise. I've recently being blessed with the title of being aunt to two adorable angels even though to my in laws, I'm officially a divorcee. No one except Nandini, my sister in law, knows this secret of mine because the separation papers, signed never actually reached for the trials and the judgement hasn't been passed yet.'How's her runny nose now, s
A week later Somber night, a masculine figure rolled out of his sleek SUV, parked in front of an abandoned and desolate apartment complex. Black aviator glasses complementing his trimmed beard and overall domineering appearance in brown tuxedo over velvety Armani shirt, hiding a long scar running through his chest after spending three consecutive years behind lock up with inmates, bully and crazy maniacs. His ravening footfalls echoed in the silent corridor as a bunch of armed men advanced through the cramped hallway, following the formidable shadow in order to safeguard him from any potential attacks and threats, the desolate place, a dwelling to countless hazardous pests and toxic contaminants, filled with malodolorous smell lingering in the smothering environment, damp, cold and humid. With one robust push, the metallic door slammed open, revealing a moribund body chained to the walls, stained with ugly patterns of blood splashes all over the surface. 'Is he breathing, still?', t
The following morningIt was still dark and cloudy outside when Saanvi abruptly woke up from her slumber. Her eyes were swollen and face puffy after the rough evening. So much has happened yesterday that she couldn't get over it. Firstly, she encountered a creepy man at her shop that immediately left after disclosing her identity in a threatening fashion, leaving the bouquet on the counter. Secondly, she was sent a notice regarding the study loan. Thirdly, she received a call from the hospital regarding her mother's critical condition. And lastly, she has to pay rent the following week for which she has no money. She slid off her blanket and made her way towards the balcony to witness rosy hue of the hidden sun. While the darkness was still subduing the light with all it's effort but in the end, light will penetrate no matter what, spearing through the dreariness. Wish it could happen in her case too.The rhythm and harmony of the morning air, the fluttering leaves and strutting pigeo
He was sentenced to three years in imprisonment being found guilty of abuse and misleading and hiding crucial evidences regarding an ongoing case of a minor girl being harrassed by the man, now being pronounced 'not guilty' and framed by the court. Whilst stepping down the staircase, he saw her standing in the rain with a black umbrella on the side of the lane, the scene pretty much hazy and unclear. He stood watching her stoic face, completely numb and expressionless. Exactly, how he saw her inside the courtroom while the judgement was passed against him. He didn't deny any accusation, the conscience was culpable for crumbling her soul. 'Aren't you going to say anything?', he softly asked from a distance. She shook her head, closing the space between the victim and his cuffed perpetrator.'Instead of saying anything, I want to present you something. This is a divorce letter, an unpleasant and bitter conclusion of our failed marriage. This will forever remind you of how sometimes, fe
The turbulent sky of Svamgarh grew leaden and darkening, overcast with ash grey clouds, loured, roaring and thunderous. An ephemeral serein drizzled down on the heated terrace and soon after, the heavy down pour began. The soft mizzle emanated an earthy smell of soaked soil, the dewy petrichor that gradually permeated in the soothing and hushed ambience of the twilight, a sublime and unparalleled blend of lilac and orange, tranquilizing the troubled and anxious state of a woman, leaning against the steel bars with her drenched saree sticking to her wet curves, complementing the dewy texture of her supple and lithe skin underneath the gauzy silk. The puddles, waterlogged, plinked tenderly each time the sparkling beads of rain dropped intermittent kisses on the unmoving waters, spawning ripples. The street was nearly empty with silent commotion, only vigorous pitter pattern reverberated on the concrete lane. She was lost in the cold rain, faint swishing of winds murmuring back tales of
That late evening,Soft gleam of yellow scintillating lights fell on the pristine face of Saanvi standing among the mass of guests, influential and opulent, busy conversing among themselves and relishing the falling night, the moon shining a little red, today. They, specially the elderly ladies were deeply indulged in gossiping about some rumours flying around the corner regarding the newly engaged fiancee of Advik, a famous model and television host, Neha Sharma, the only daughter of a renowned business man, Sandeep Sharma and his wife, Meena Sharma, a lawyer by profession. She being their sole heiress, everyone's attention was drawn towards the couple on stage. An alluring charm wrapped around their charismatic personality, however the royalty dominating the wealth and prominence.'They were secretly dating for the past seven years. Initially, they met in their college times as freshers. And gradually, they fell in love but decided to keep everything under the rug for appropriate re
Saanvi's POV:I inhaled a sharp breath, regaining my lost composure. His sharp gaze paused at my nervous face, zooming into my expressions very keenly. Tightening my fists, I peered into his piercing eyes, deeply engaged in scanning my finest activities as if awaiting to spot something off about our unprecedented collision.'You had been mumbling something in sleep, something like where must it be? Were you looking for something in here?', my heart beat escalated would be an understatement. I literally panicked internally though my poker face could've manage to conceal the internal turmoil of my mind.'Did I really blabber in my sleep? You heard everything, don't you?',my face turned ghastly white as I felt myself nearing every second to my own death bed. My end is going to be this brutal and this soon, I never thought my destiny could be this merciless!! He stood by an array of expensive Cesare attolini, calm face, arms folded across his chest as he was inspecting my faltering courag
